With all the horror stories of in-home repair services and as a pretty good DIY-er, I avoid making these calls for help as much as possible. The experience with Craig's Appliance Repair was as good as it gets. Answered my 4:45pm call on the 3rd ring, came up with a possible cause during the call, told me the travel/labor charge and approximate cost of the part (making it clear that, while likely, if that wasn't the problem all bets were off) and scheduled a time for 3pm the following day. Showed up at 2:50, made the repair and was out within 45 minutes. No problem at all paying the fixed-fee amount he quoted...I know these repair calls can take a long time or short time, and his knowledge and experience allowed him to get in, get it fixed and get out efficiently. The total was exactly what I expected, and the entire experience was professional, friendly and efficient. I would definitely call them back for any other problems.

Three visits for Dacor Micro/Convection. Apparently this device has some quality issues. Craig's provided correct repairs. Hint 1: NEVER NEVER NEVER buy Dacor. Visits for gaskets on Sub Zero fridge/freezer. Jobs were 100% correct.

We first called Craig out to fix an oven light in our range, which had not worked for quite some time. First he said he'd need to replace the relay board, which he had with him. Once that was done, the light still would not work so he said he'd need to order and replace the light assembly. Had I known the total cost at the time, I may have opted to replace the 16 year-old range as the cost alone of replacing the board was over $300.00 but the total came to $588.00. Once the light was fixed, the oven stopped heating after less than three days after we used the self-cleaning feature (never had that problem before) so it cost another $105.00 for him to come back out and reset a thermostat to fix that problem. Overall, he was punctual, friendly, and professional. I just will not use him again as we will replace the range is anything else should go wrong with it!

Not so great. Although Craig came to the house and analyzed the situation within a couple days, we never received a formal estimate, and then when bill came, it was quite high for something that took 20 minutes. As well, he broke another piece of the updraft. He offered to fix it if I paid the cost to fix it...even though he was the one that broke it. When I discussed it with him after the fact (as I was not at home for the fix), he was extremely rude about the situation. Will never use him again.

He unnessarily replaced an entire burner when only an ignitor was required. I learned this the hard way.

Great experience. On time, professional, friendly, knew the problem just based on my description, fixed it reight the first time.

The technician has always come out and fixed my stove. He is very professional, but it costs a lot of money. The last time I called him, he said that he wouldn?t fix the refrigerator since he had to do a lot of work. It always seems like he knows what he is doing. It wasn?t completely fixed when he left the last time and I waited too long to call in order to complain. That?s why I called another company because if I had him come out, then he would have charged me a lot. In the meantime, the refrigerator went out and I called another person to come out and fix it.

Craig was prompt, knew the equipment and quick - I would use him again.

Craig is always on time and neatly dressed. Very pleasant and knows what he is doing. Very nice person.

I had a problem with a Viking dishwasher and Craig's was one of the Viking service companies mentioned on their website. Since Craig's was closest to my home I called them. I told him the problem with the dishwasher and he thought he knew what the problem was. I ended up taking digital photos for the information that he asked for and he concluded that it wasn't the problem. At that point he lost interest in helping and when I asked for visit, he hemmed and hawed and said "maybe next week I can get over." Because this was likely a warranty issue did he lose interest? I don't know, but the next time I have a problem, I will call one of the others on the Viking list. I went on to do my own research and solved the problem myself.
