Crabtree Family Moving

Completely awful! I would not use them again or recommend this company for moving. There was one mover that very reckless and careless with our belongings and didn’t care if he damaged anything. Our brand new home was damaged from the movers. A large chunk was taken out of an interior door, the front door frame was damaged and there was oil left in the driveway. On top of that, several items were scratched or dented. Including a tool box, 3 different metal cabinets, a fridge and a deep freezer. We have sent them an invoice to pay for the damages on the house and now they’re not responding or paying the invoice.

I was absolutely ELATED with the whole team. They worked like an extremely well-oiled machine and I'd be glad to refer them to anyone! Excellent experience!!

They were outstanding. They were personable and they stayed with their estimate. They took great care with everything and I would definitely use them again. I would highly recommend them.

They wrapped and protected furniture, they were punctual and efficient.

Crabtree Family Moving did a great job of moving our household over 1800 miles from Raleigh to Colorado Springs. Our wood furniture was wrapped with heavy blankets and shrink wrapped. We packed our own boxes and Daniel and Valente did an excellent job of organizing them in a space efficient way. We really liked the fact that the same team which loaded us did the driving and unloaded us. Our belongings were never transferred from truck to truck and they took a direct route. The team unloaded us quickly and professionally, helping to stack boxes and furniture that we did not intend to unpack in the upstairs bedrooms and garage. They expertly maneuvered our four poster bed up a narrow staircase and put it together for us. We definitely recommend using Crabtree Family Moving for local and long distance moves.

This was one of the best experiences we have had when moving. The experience started with Jared Crabtree coming to our home to give us an estimate. From the onset, he was professional, warm and considerate. We had other estimates, but none could compare to that "first" impression that Jared gave us. The "team" , led by Danny, was very professional, personable and courteous. Our belongings were handled with care and placed exactly where we wanted them. While the team worked with lightening speed, they were very cautious with our items. We were surprised at how efficient they were. We had a 5 minute walk through to explain where everything was going, either in the apartment or the storage garage and that was all that was needed. From that point, they just worked like crazy to get it all done. Not only did they complete the job in less time than was originally estimated, but they were professional and enjoyable to work with. Since this is a temporary move for us, we will be calling Crabtree Faminly Moving again when we purchase our next home. We are actuslly hoping to get the same "team" again, but are certain we would be happy with any of the Crabtree Family Movers.

Cliff and his family are great people to work with, and the movers he had on staff are awesome as well. What set his group apart from other moving companies, was that his immediate family is involved, and that he owns the storage area, and is near it in case I need to get something out--he can do this. They do all of the packing (if you choose this option) and they are really detail oriented. His wife was packing my kitchen and I thought I had moved out everything that needed to and quot;go with meand quot; and had left something in a drawer that obviously went with the house (a binder of stove/dishwasher manuals, etc) and instead of just blindly packing it, she left it for the new owners. This level of attention to detail is rare, in my opinion. I have heard of some movers packing bags of trash, etc. just whatever they see. This outfit knows what they are doing, and they are dedicated to your belongings. I have packed myself every time that I have moved, but since this time, my items are going to be stored for a year, and it was shorter notice, the amount of money it took to hire this part out was worth not running to Lowe's every 6 hours and quot;for another boxand quot; or yelling and quot;do you have the markerand quot; to your moving volunteers! Cliff and his family labelled my fragile stuff with large print, Fragile, and the movers did not break anything, or hit any walls. Win win. The movers pointed out a couple of things that had chips in it, to let me know the state of my furniture going into storage, which I already knew about, (furniture that was chipped years ago) which showed their honesty. I really appreciated this. My furniture has been guaranteed a climate controlled area for the next year, and I have high hopes that it will come out the same way it looked going in! Kudos to this hard working family business.

-CFT arrived shortly before the agreed upon time - for those of us with military background, and quot;...early is on timeand quot;. -Cliff came in and surveyed the general situation, mapping out which rooms would be moved out in what order. Extra special attention was given to a family treasure of a desk that is 100+ years old. Also in that category were a pre-Civil war candle stick table and a 45and quot; spinet piano. - It was very hot that day in late June, so we had plenty of bottled water for the movers, but they had brought their own as well! They are self-sufficient and never imposed on us. - The movers worked in pairs in a very coordinated and organized team system. - All told, the move took about eight hours to complete. And don't you know it, as soon as they were folding up the last blankets, it started to rain! - Well done! We think that God blessed us with finding and choosing Crabtree Family Moving, we hope that you do, too!

Overall, a horrible experience! We hired Crabtree family Moving for our local move. They came out for a review of the house and what needed to be moved prior and gave us an estimate. On moving day, they showed up with a truck that was too small for the move and did not bring enough blankets to cover the furniture. Once the truck was full they started tossing furniture in the back of a pick up truck uncovered. We had them stop as we did not want our furniture damaged. Upon arrival of our goods at our new house, we found out that some of the furniture had been damaged, and the response from Cliff was denial that they did it. Even though he promised he would come back and fix the furniture. The furniture is still not fixed 2 months later, and Cliff will not return our calls. Upon time for payment, Cliff insisted that they only accept cash, which he said in a and quot;smartand quot; response was in the e-mail he sent us. NO EMAIL WAS SENT PRIOR. When we did not have $1300 in cash sitting around he got extremely rude with us and we told him the only option he had for payment was check. So I wrote a check to Crabtree Family Moving. At this point he insisted that I wrote another check in his name. Since this was a move that would be reimbursed by employer, we asked for an invoice that he said that he would send us that afternoon. After several follow up phone calls and emails, no invoice was ever generated. I would definitely not recommend this company. They were unprofessional, unethical, and out right rude!

I called up several companies and asked for their price and they were one of the most attractive prices. I liked the person that I spoke to. He was the owner of the business and was the father of the family, so it was a family operations and I liked that. I rate them very highly.
