College Hunks Hauling Junk & College Hunks Moving

These guys were awesome! They ran a bit late because the customer before me kept finding more junk for them to haul away, but they called to update me on timing several times. Fortunately, the timing wasn't critical for me as long as it got done that day. They were extremely polite, professional, and careful throughout the entire time. Moving a mattress and boxsprings down an angled staircase is not easy - and these guys did it without touching a wall. They took everything I asked them too, and more! I've already started a list of things for them to haul away in a few months!

They were punctual, and did a very nice job. They were clean cut, articulate, and easy to communicate with. They were very nice kids, and worked very hard.

I measured the volume of stuff to be removed and calculated a lower price than they did, but more important was that they were effective and courteous, so I paid their price. I would hire them again and recommend them to others.

I had reserved an 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM time slot, on a Monday morning, and rearranged my work schedule to meet them at this time. I figured that they would probably be punctual, since it was their first available appointment, on a Monday morning... However, they showed up at 10:45, and left at 12:45. To their credit they called twice, the first time at 9:05. Their excuse was that they had to "unload a truck" first. (On a Monday morning? This seemed really odd to me.) I had filled out a detailed online appointment request a week eariler, including a description of the items to be removed, but I don't think my crew had any of this information. The two guys who came were nice enough, but they were very skinny, and the quantity of heavy concrete they had to move must have worn them out. I pity the poor customers who were scheduled for their afternoon slot(s). Do not expect cleancut college kids, in spite of the name of this company. The price was not a surprise, since I knew there would be an extra charge for disposal of the heavy concrete. The guys were fairly professional, and did a reasonably good job, although I had to go behind them to make sure they were getting everything I had asked for. They also seemed to overestimate the capacity of their truck. After I showed them everything that needed to be hauled off, they estimated I had "half a truck full," but this wound up being a completely loaded truck. I'm honestly not an extraordinarily picky person, and I don't have unrealistically high expectations for service, but I was a little surprised, especially considering the positive reviews of this company on Angie's List. I won't say that I wouldn't hire them again, simply because I don't know if there are any better options for this kind of service. I probably just drew the short straw, and got their "C" or "D" team.

Submitted an inquiry for hauling. No response via email nor cell.

When I submitted an online inquiry for hauling, I thought "this is going to go no where into cyberland." I went out to run a some errands. When I returned a few hours I had a message on my phone. The person on the other end of the line provided clear description of how they work, starting with a phone call when the haulers are about 15-30 minutes from our appointment time, providing an estimate on the spot, and allowing me to decide if I would accept the bid and, if so, the work would be done. This team did exactly that: Phone call when expected, arrived on time, provided a verbal estimate, hauled my items away. On top of that, they had to do some dismantling of one item to make it easier to manuever and they were friendly and professional. I would use their services again.

College Hunks Hauling Junk came to our house and hauled away many items from our crawl space that we no longer needed. They arrived on time and cleared away the items quickly. I can't recall actually how much we spent, but I do recall that the estimate was higher than I thought it would be. However, as I note, the work was done quickly and as scheduled to my satisfaction.

Very pleased with this company and would recommend and use them again.

On a Friday afternoon I decided to get rid of a small pile of lumber that I had been saving "just in case." I went to their website and scheduled them for that Sunday afternoon. I was really impressed they could come by on a Sunday when I was home! They were late, but called and told me they'd be late. They had no problem loading my stuff into the truck and getting rid of my neighbor's tree branches she'd been meaning to get picked up. I was suprised at how much it cost (1/8 of a truck was $137), but given the convenience and timing, I was more than happy to pay. I don't know if I'd use them again if I didn't have a whole lot of stuff that needed hauling away. They were quick and friendly.

These guys did an awesome job. They arrived on time, cleaned out everything in these two res (except for paint and gas cans which they noted they could not take) within 2 hours, and charged us a VERY fair price for all the work that they had to do. I would highly recommmend them.
