College Hunks Hauling Junk & College Hunks Moving

The work was performed exceptionally well. I believe his name is Jess and the other two guys worked hard for 1.5 hours to pick up everything and load to the truck. He kept me informed all along the way on his progress. BUT, I should have read the fine print on the deal I purchased for $99.00. I expected that was all I was going to pay and was not really prepared for the huge difference at the end but I was very wrong. Jess made sure to inform me at the beginning that the deal only allowed for 1/8th of space and with what I had, I knew it would be a little over.... It would have been more cost effective for me to rent a dumpster from the city for $150 and dump all I can to fill it up than to pay this price. However, they were very pleasant and did a great job. Caution for others and myself, if you have construction being done, far better to rent a dumpster. College hunks is great for smaller jobs that will not cost you that much.

There were two people here to do the work. They did scratch my floor so I had to get the manager to look at it and hire someone to fix the floor. I felt the manager did not handle the situation well. The guys did not seem like they had a lot of experience with out any supervision.

From the start the Hunks were great. They were on time, pleasant and very hardworking. They asked the right questions from the start which allowed them to work swiftly and efficiently. I had 3 hunks moving me for almost 6 hours, they were all so polite. They made sure I was HAPPY! They moved 1 dresser to 3 different locations and never complained. When they were going over the check out paperwork they should be on the invoice for where I was not charged for their breaks. I joked I did not see them take a break EVER! I would highly recommend them to friends and family.

The team arrived an hour late. They called about 25 minutes after they were supposed to be there to say they were on the way.(When I booked the afternoon apointment, they had mentioned that they had a morning job and might arrive a little late, so I was not concerned) They estimated it would take about 2 hours and have a 2 hour minimum. It took 45 minutes! Saved us lots of work and time....And nothing was broken! Thanks!

My two movers were Ian and Sean. They were very polite and respectful. It was raining outside and they were concerned about treading mud in on my carpet and asked if they should take off their shoes. The washers were very heavy and I was scared that when they took the washers down the stairs they would gouge my walls and damage the washers, They were extremely careful and both the walls and washers came out unscathed. As you can tell I was very happy with the service I received and I would use them again.

They moved our furniture from our old house to our new house. Completed job very fast and were on time. Some very minor damage but can be expected for old furniture that has moved 6 time already.

These guys really are some of the most hard-working, friendly and outgoing people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. They turned up in uniform, brought the truck to my garage, and took out every bit of garbage i had. I had a huge amount from a move - boxes, styrofoam, an old sign, a huge plank of wood, a weird garbage can, boxes and boxes and even more boxes in disarray, and they took them and had them hauled out and gone. They even swept the floor of the garage. Not a complaint, in fact they seemed pretty happy. I should add this wasn't very neatly-piled garbage. In fact I'd go as far as to say it was a giant pile of ripped-up and trampled cardboard, some of which was covered in styrofoam and dirt. They then took a desk upstairs. Very quickly. They complimented me on my home, got me to sign, and they were gone. Totally and utterly painless. Pleasant interactions with both of the guys. I can't remember the exact name - but it says on "Driver" that it was J. Giay (okay, their handwriting wasn't great, but that's not something I care about). I will absolutely use these guys in the future, especially over 1800 Junk or another small moving company. The fact that they were able to do both in one job saved me time and energy.

Two guys arrived early, which was great. The pile to be removed was very large, but they worked tirelessly to load it all on the truck. The guys were friendly and very efficient. I would not hesitate to use them again. They did an excellent job for a reasonable price. Highly recommended. The invoice address is Bramden ct, Wake Forest, so I am not sure if I got the correct guys.

They arrived early at 11:30 instead of 12. By 11:45 they were finished with the upstairs and by noon were finished completely. Personable and friendly, the two young men were fast and efficient. They didn't bump anything and several of the pieces were very heavy. Would like to recommend, but I think the price was outrageous. $90 per hour or any part thereof, and $60 travel expenses. It could not have taken them more than 35-40 minutes to come from Wake Forest. Who gets $120 an hour to drive a truck? Is moving furniture really worth $90 an hour? For that reason, I won't use them again.

The move took less than 3 hours, including wrapping up my antiques, loading them onto the truck, driving to the new house and unloading. They even took a door off the hinges to get my antique settee into my master bedroom. They were total gentlemen, treated me like I was the most wonderful client in the world.

The actual movers were great and worked their tails off. My issue is with their scheduling. We were scheduled for a move from 10 am to noon. They finally showed up at 4:30 pm after I had called 3 times. Everyone I spoke with on the phone and in person were nice and they did knock money off the total because of the wait. I would use them again but would make sure the scheduler does not overbook.

Great! Very proud of this operation. It is great to know an organization is able to perform small jobs. The folks at the 800 number (James and Renata) and Jeremy from the north Raleigh office were great to work with. Spelled everything out perfectly. Jeremy called and arranged the laborers. The two men, Reggie and Cody arrived exactly on time, were courteous and patiently determined what was to be done. They exercised great care in moving the heavy refrigerator and other pieces of heavy furniture. They used many furniture pads and flattened cardboard boxes on the newly refinished HW floors. We really appreciate their conscientiousness and care. Company charged a very reasonable transit fee to come to lower Granville County from north Raleigh. Labor rate per hour was very reasonable. For whatever needs to be moved or hauled, we will certainly call this company.

I would leave College Hunks to moving junk or college dorm rooms. When it comes to moving furniture, they banged things up more then is acceptable. They also took certain short cuts that just caused damage. Examples being trying to move large pieces of furniture with one person, instead of two which just leads to marked up walls and furniture. And simple things like letting the box spring slide down the wood steps instead of carrying it, which ended up leaving a nice divot in the top five steps. Most of these things of course did go noticed at the time, but I am now going around and seeing how I touch up many pieces of furniture.

The 2 guys (Jessie and Steven) showed up right on time. I showed them what needed to be done and before I knew it they were right at it, moving all of my furniture and boxes into the truck. They made it look easy! They took great care in moving all of my items and also took great care in packing the moving truck I had. They packed the truck so well that I actually used less space than I was quoted for the move, which saved me some $$! I was highly impressed the speed and professional manner in which they worked. Because of them, my move couldn't have been a better and more stress free experience.

Friendly and efficient from beginning to end. Crew of two was running a few minutes late, and called in advance to let me know. They were only 10 minutes late so this was impressive, as most service providers won't call you to let you know they are running late at all, let alone only 10 minutes. They worked quickly and were friendly and responsive throughout. I forgot to include some items in my move and they had no problem adding those on. I thought it was a fair price for the amount of items I had removed. I received a receipt from one of the donation sites they use the very next day (for the bedroom suite). Hopefully I will receive other receipts soon (I donated a lot of clothing and other items for donation, and very little for trash). I was pleased with this service and if I were not moving out of state would definitely use them again if I needed to remove large items from my home.

Having just moved, there were pieces of furniture that were just in the wrong places. College Hunks did an excellent job of helping get the furniture situated where it looked best. This was the second time I called them and on each occasion, the guys came on time, were friendly and polite, and very efficient. I would definitely use this business again if there were heavy pieces of furniture to move.

While I was disappointed that they showed up a half hour late (I was the first move of the day), I was very pleased with the rest of the process. They worked diligently and did a great job protecting our items. Even though they started 30 minutes late, they still finished 30 minutes early. I would definitely recommend them to somebody else.

It went great. They were friendly, courteous, and efficient. We weren't going to ask them to assemble the treadmill, but they offered, and they did a terrific job - we use it almost daily, with no problems with the assembly.

The 2 men were very courteous and gave us an estimate before starting work. They worked quickly despite the heat in the attic. We were very pleased with the way they handled our items with care.

Went great. We set up the appointment, the company sent a team of two guys, and they loaded up our junk and took it away.

GREAT. Although, the last couple of times I've not been able to get a response when I call. Don't know exactly why. But was very pleased with the first haul.

They called 30 minutes ahead of time, were on time, and were very polite. They took a look at the items I needed to get rid of, gave me a quote, and with my OK, removed everything I asked them to. They even moved a heavy table from upstairs to the basement for me. I was very pleased with the experience.

Went exactly as we expected. They were very polite and on time. They respected our property and did the job and left promptly. Price was more than we wanted to pay to haul away junk, but we found that their estimate was competitive. Getting rid of junk is expensive. No wonder people hoard!
