 + -1 moreBill and his team were prompt, responsive, and did great work. Bill came out, evaluated the job, and provided an estimate within a couple of days. The estimate was much less (almost half) of what the other companies in the area quoted for the same job. He was very flexible with working around other renovations that were occurring in the house at the same time. We were on a tight timeline between closing on the house and moving in, and Bill worked with us to make sure the floors would be done and sealed by our move-in date. In fact, we had to move up our move-in date couple of weeks before the work was scheduled to start, and Bill was flexible (and unflappable, really) in accommodating the tight schedule. He dropped off the wood a week or two in advance of starting the installation to allow time for the wood to acclimate to the temp and humidity. The team removed the existing tile and carpet in the kitchen and living room. They stripped and stained the existing hardwoods, and the new hardwoods now match the existing floors perfectly so that you can't tell where the old floor stops and the new floor begins. The floors look even better than I expected. They are just beautiful and really updated the look of our home. I couldn't be happier. We will definitely work with Century Hardwood Floors again.
Description of Work: Bill refinished existing hardwood floors (entryway, dining room, and formal living room) and extended them throughout the first level (family room and kitchen), up the stairs, and hallway in the second level.

Description of Work: Big project-removed carpeting from family room and linoleum from kitchen and replaced with oak hardwoods. Then sanded, stained, and finished those floors plus sanded, stained, and refinished existing LR/DR floors. Also replaced carpet on stairs with hardwood treads. Bill, the owner, has been very helpful in making good floor and stain recommendations and in guiding us through this long process without pushing us to finish too fast.

 + -1 moreOverall I had a great experience! Especially with a service that could go so terribly wrong if done by the wrong person or company.
Description of Work: Hung Chi Ngu came out the day I called to give me an estimate. I had the estimate the very next day showing all we had discussed the night before. Hung scheduled the work around our schedule and always called to confirm deliveries or appointments. I had 600sf of white oak installed to blend with my existing hardwood floors. Hung and his co-worker Walt installed all the new floors in only two days, and over a weekend sanded my exsisting floors and clear coated the entire floor for a perfect match. He was very precise with trim work cuts and edges in my kitchen and around my fireplace . The new floors have updated my home tremedously and I'm excited about putting everything back together. I would recommend Century Hardwood and Hung Chi Ngu any day. TRay
