They were fantastic to work with! They were really interested in hearing how I wanted things done and gave me their input. They acted as though it was their own yard and home that they were working on. The technicians were professional too. I’d recommend them to anybody!

They are very good at what they do and have a good eye as to where lights should go to illuminate features of the home and garden. They were easy to work with and punctual.

I found Carolina Outdoor Lighting through Angie's List. When I called to get preliminary info, Steve answered and was very informative about what they do. I had already looked at his website which is really helpful too. He came out to our house on a Friday evening and within 20 minutes had a demo set up to show us what our house could look like with outdoor lighting. Then he worked with us to make any personal adjustments we wanted. Both he and Eric were very nice to work with and very accommodating. Steve gave us an estimate immediately and we were so impressed with what they did that we agreed to have them do the work. They were back is less than a week to do the installation. Our house use to be in total darkness at night but now it is bathed in warm lights and is so welcoming. These guys were great! Would highly recommend them to anyone.

We got Steve's contact at the Raleigh homeshow and called him for an estimate. Steve came out that same week and set up an evening "light show" for us. He also made some very useful suggestions in terms of lighting our driveway and walkway. Not only are they functional, but beautifies the entire house. His estimate was right on the money and the job was completed as scheduled. Since then, we had a contractor who ran over one of the lights and Steve came right out to fix it. Not only is Steve, very professional, but he's also warm and patient. He takes the time, to listen to your suggestions and makes the appropriate recommendations. Overall, we are thrilled with the work they have done and constantly get compliments from our neighbours. One was even so impressed with his work, that they called us and asked who our contractor was (even though other neighbours put lights up) and they ended up using Carolina Lighting as well.

Steve did a great job. He came out several weeks before he did the job and "set the stage" by placing lights around the yard at night and plugging them in. We were able to see what the yard would look like after he installed the lights. He made suggestions as to placement for the best results.

Steve was very responsive and very professional. What set him apart from the other people we contacted was his demo and his knowledge. The demo is outstanding and really lets you see what the job will look like before you make a decision. Steve's work was first rate. The house looks wonderful. He is more expensive than other contractors, but is worth the price.

The initial contact was easy. I got Steve's number from a neighbor and he called back very quickly. We arranged a demo of lights and this was installed in a day ready for dusk. Steve talked us through what he would do to eliminate some shadows and also to illuminate trees at the side of the property. We talked the pricing through and agreed what was to be done and the final price. There were no hidden extras and the price included tax. The job was delayed by the snow, but Steve called to let us know when he would be back, and he got everything installed in two days the following week. We are very pleased with the installation. Steve also provided a detailed list of the installation, the lights, and what bulbs they take, so we could go anywhere to get things fixed, upgraded or just new bulbs.

I called Steve on the phone and within 2 weeks, he was at our house at dusk on a Friday night doing a demonstration. It was VERY buggy and muggy and he and his assistant worked as if they didn't even notice. The demonstration was quite impressive and he was at our house 2 weeks later for the entire day installing 8 gorgeous copper lights - they even look beautiful in the daylight. We were a bit concerned about the burying of the cords since our ground is very hard. He alleviated those concerns since he had a tool that allows him to break 8 inches into the ground. I should also mention that before he started his job, he had the county come out and mark our gas and electrical fields, so that he knew to stay away from it. We were also concerned about hiding the wires in our footbridge, but he did some magic carpentry and we couldn't have been happier. The only slight negative I will point out is that the on/off system is infrequently finicky. It is very user friendly, but on 2 occasions, our lights did not turn off at their scheduled time of 12:15AM. However, I contacted him and he promptly responded with fix-it instructions. Steve also warned us that the system can occasionally be 'moody and he offered us a better more expensive system, but we chose the cheaper one. It's a minor setback, considering its ease of use and the beauty of our lights. We often sit out on our front porch and admire the best investment yet in our outdoor space. I highly recommend Outdoor Lighting Professionals - I did price out another company (franchise) and I felt comfortable that I was getting a good deal with Steve. He is professional, smart, and has a true artistic sense. He is also a local business owner, which we always prefer to franchise operations.
