The team was very professional. They completed the job in 2 hours as previously estimated by the contractor that had previously come to the house to evaluate the job. The team cleaned up all the dirt and residue from the job and they also took the old carpet. I was very satisfied with the carpet they installed and also the installation job.

Mike and his carpet installers were right on time and did an excellent job moving the furniture and installing the carpet and pad. They moved the furniture back in the exact places and were very willing to do so. We are happy with everything!

After getting estimates from eight others, I decided on Carolina In Home Flooring based on best price and positive Angie?s List rating, but also on experience and responsiveness. We started off doing part of the upstairs with hardwood, but because everything was going so well, we added the rest of the upstairs, the steps, and tile flooring in the kitchen. Through all the jobs, Mike kept focused on customer service and satisfaction. He was always dependable/responsible, amazingly reachable, and responsive to my questions and concerns. His installers took pride in the high quality of their work, and were very hardworking and professional. All of these things were important to me. I highly recommend Carolina In Home Flooring for a great job at a great value!

We contacted Mike at Carolina In-Home Flooring Sales for a quote about 6 weeks ago. We described the hardwood and tile types we were looking for and he brought over some samples one afternoon. It was nice to have the samples there in the house, it made picking the style and color much easier. There was no second guessing color matches as often happens when picking out materials at a store. We also got guidance on what would work well on our mix of slab foundation downstairs and subfloor upstairs. He had a quote to us the next day. After we realized we had forgotten to ask about an upstairs bathroom he stopped by again for a quick measurement and regenerated the quote with the new specs within 24 hours. The price was competitive and the reviews on Angies List helped make the decision easier. We had gotten quotes from the big box stores before but never moved forward because we had heard horror stories of bad workmanship and trying to get issues resolved through multiple layers of bureaucracy. We liked dealing directly with Mike. Also after talking to Mike we realized how some previous quotes we had gotten would have been a disaster because we were guided towards the wrong materials and installation methods for our slab. We scheduled the installation for a few weeks later since we had plans that could not be rescheduled. Mike let us know when the materials came in and contacted us again a few days before the install date. On the day of the install Mike was on site before his crews so he could start prepping areas and making sure the crews had everything they needed to get started. He stopped by multiple times during the 2 days the crews were there to check on any issues and to grab supplies for them. He had two crews, one to take care of hardwood installation, and one to take care of tile installation. Both crews were courteous and detail oriented. The craftsmanship from both crews was top notch. They cleaned up all garbage and swept multiple times before they left. But keep in mind these jobs can be messy - we performed a through whole house cleaning/dusting a few days after they left and the dust had settled. We are very happy with our new floors. The cost was reasonable, the improvement to the house was remarkable. Given the current real estate market it made more sense for us to improve our current house instead of incurring the risk and cost of moving.

Really liked the professionalism and responsiveness of Mike from the beginning. Almost didn't use their services because they didn't offer any financing options, however they have now started taking credit cards. After several different quotes and some unprofessional interactions with an assortment of flooring stores & representatives, we decided to give Carolina in Home Flooring a try. Mike showed up with many different options for both hardwood flooring and carpet. He was very flexible with scheduling after work and showed up right on time. Outstanding with job quality and materials on both the carpet and the wood floors. They also really went the extra mile in getting it done for us so we could move in early. Great group of people, very reasonable price and quality are excellent. You won't be disappointed!

I contacted Mike Nelson and he called me back within an hour or so and he was very friendly on the phone. I explained what we were looking to do and we set an appointment for him to come over to show us some samples of the hardwood/laminate wood and tile and go over our options. Although we had to work around our crazy schedule and had to reschedule our appointment, he was very happy to work with us. He brought over samples of flooring for us to look at and explained the differences between hardwoods and laminate and helped us decide what would work best for our home and lifestyle. The flooring came in within 2 weeks and they installed everything in a day and a half. Ray and the other installer were very nice and professional. They did a great job. We did have once concern about our moulding and I spoke with Mike about it and he had Ray come back that same day to adjust it for us. Mike was very thorough and responsive and I would definately recommend him to anyone replacing their flooring.

Could not have been a better experience. Mike came to our house, explained the process and showed us tile samples. He could not have been nicer, more competent, of more informative. We selected the tile and he got back to us with a quote which I was very pleased with and contained an accurate breakdown of the costs. His team installed the tile, which included replacing a part of the bathroom floor which had mold, while we were on vacation. Coming home to the new floor was great! It looked fantastic! Could not be better! It was a bit dusty in the house, but I believe this is unavoidable with ceramic tile. I could not recommend Mike any higher!

Recently purchased a house in NW Raleigh and wanted to replace the exisitng carpeting throughout the upstairs area which consists of three bedrooms, one bonus room, and an open area overlooking the living room. The work was performed quickly and the crew maintained care while working in the house and, upon completion cleaned up any remnants and debris. Excellent work. This is the second time I have used Carolina In Home Flooring. The initial job was hardwood flooring in the downstairs of my house. Both times, the crews were courteous, professional, and maintain business demeanor.

The experience was really great. Mike (the owner) came the same evening as I called him, and he brought the laminate floor samples, from which we found exactly what we need. This saved us a lot of time shopping around. He gave us the quota the very next morning, the total price was very attractive, and given the great reviews from Angie's list, we decided to choose his company. He ordered the floors for us and couple days later the floors are in, they are ready anytime to install for us! The two guys came in for floor installation were very professional and helpful, they did a great job, highly efficient, it only took them about 5 hours to finish the job. And they helped moving the furniture after their job is done. It was about 2pm when they finish, they didn't even take a break to have lunch. The color we used is Maryland Cherry, it's a really beautiful color, after the floor is done, my home looks like a brand new one!!! Mike is a very nice guy, and so are his crew. We are so glad that we made the right decision of choosing Mike.

Overall the experience was outstanding. Bringing samples to the home to review was a very nice touch. Explained to Mike what our requirements were for the project. He brought samples that were exactly what we asked for. Price was very competative Job was started and completed as promised Job was done 100% the first time. We will definitely be calling Mike with future business.

Job was completed timely and flooring looks superb. Attention to detail in installation around marble fireplace hearth as well as butting up against existing hardwood in kitchen and hallway.

Mike Nelson is was very responsive to any questions relative to the work that was going to be performed. He provided an excellent quote. Mike and his employees were punctual, and worked the entire time they were at our home. His installation crew Ishmal and Oscar were extremely knowledgable and in some very difficult installation situations did an outstanding job. The floor looks beautiful and we will definitely use them again.

Mike was very responsive and personable. From the first call to repair was only a matter of a few days, and the price seemed very reasonable. Mike was able to use a piece of flooring from under my washer/dryer to repair a burned/melted section of flooring in the middle of the kitchen. It looks great - pattern matched up, etc. I was really happy with the results!

After initial quote, Mike and his installer were here to install the stone backsplash within 5 days. We had already purchased the materials. The installer did an excellent job and Mike called several times to make sure everything was going ok. He came in the beginning to make sure the installer had all the information he needed. Installer cleaned up afterward and Mike came within a couple of days to make sure I was happy with the project. Excellent customer service and loves to satisfy the customer. Would definitely call him again!

I will be using Mike and Ray again. They installed flooring in our basement and did a perfect job, showed up early, and were "good people"

I called Mike Nelson for an appointment to see our existing kitchen floor. He brought samples with him and went over all details. He knew we wanted to get rid of those annoying squeaks. Our existing floor was still in very good condition, but we had no way of fixing the squeaks without tearing it up. I received a quote by email within a few days which was very reasonable. At that point, we decided to have our small laundry room floor replaced also. Once we decided on the patterns, Mike scheduled the installation the following week. I can't say enough about Mike Nelson. He is very responsive and has wonderful communication skills. He was punctual and the quality of work was excellent. He had a helper and he was also very nice and professional. After tearing up the old floor, it took a little longer than expected, but he completed the job that day. With old flooring, you never know what you are going to run into. When emailing or calling Mike, he responds within a very reasonable time. Bottom Line - I would definitely hire Mike again to install flooring in my home!!

Mike brought samples to our house but wasn't exactly what we were looking for. He set us up to visit the showroom he works with and we found what we liked. He quoted us with the materials we picked out within a day. His crew was at our house about a week and a half later installing the laminate on the first day. The carpeting was installed on day two. They worked until 8:30 that day to finish. We were not home during the days but our neighbor commented on how hard and fast his crew was working. Mike did some "extras" for us along the way and did not charge anything additional. Mike is a very good guy and easy to work with. We are extremely happy with the results. If you allow him to quote your job it will be a good fair price and you will be happy in the end.

Mike Nelson is someone you can trust and his word is his bond. The work was done per agreement, actually ahead of time and a quality and professional job from start to finish. I would recommend without reservation and will use his carpet services again.
