CAROLINA IN HOME FLOORING & DESIGN CENTER

We have had Mike come and install carpet upstairs and now downstairs. In between all this, he has installed a kitchen floor, laundry room floor and had a tile backsplash installed in the kitchen. We are even thinking about replacing our tile floor in the foyer and he's the one we will call. I have never had one person do so many projects which tells you this is an excellent person to work with. He is always on time, very professional and definitely a people person. If you have work in this category to be done, you owe it to yourself to call him. You will not be disappointed.

Mike was a pleasure to deal with. He quickly responded to my inquiry of his company's service. He was able to schedule a same day estimation. I explained to Mike the things I wanted and he provide me with several options and color choices. His crew came out on time early in fact and were extremely polite and professional. They were able to complete the work in one day which was a pleasant surprise. After, installation Mike stopped by to make sure everything was done to satisfactory. Which is was. I appreciated that I didn't feel pressured and that the entire process went without incident.

Mike came for the initial estimate and was even early. He was very professional and it was not any sort of high pressure sales - very laid back, which was great. He got an idea of what we were looking for and brought the samples of various grades of carpet. I was really impressed with the quality of the Shaw carpet he uses. He did his measurements and then emailed the estimate to us that evening. After the initial estimate, we took a few days to consider and he contacted me and said that he was able to get a lower price on the carpet after he spoke w/ his Shaw contact, so it reduced the cost by about 200-300. He ordered the carpet & his installers were ablet to do it within 1-2 days after receiving it. The quality of installation was outstanding - there was some missing grout in the bathroom where the tile met the carpet and they were able to fix it so that it's not noticeable now. All furniture was moved back and it was very clean. The carpet is gorgeous and feels amazing. Overall, we were very pleased with the work that was done.

I contacted Mike on a Thursday or Friday for an in home consultation. He was here on Monday to show us samples. By that evening or first thing next morning we had a quote in hand. He was running late but did call us to let us know. We took a while to decide on the quality of the carpet but when we got back to Mike we were scheduled for installation within a week. Mike and his installers arrived on time, we confirmed the correct carpet was on their truck and the installers got working. Special note here: I am extremely fussy and was very concerned about scratches or other damage that might occur. My only complaint was the condition of their vacuum cleaner which would have been used to clean up all the leftover 'fuzzies'. I did not want that thing on our new carpet so I vacuumed myself. This wasn't that big of an inconvenience since it gave me the opportunity to look at every square inch of the installation. They managed carry the new carpet and padding up (and the old carpet and padding down) a turned staircase without incident. The seam is invisible and there was no damage done to our base moldings. We also have a fireplace with an uneven stone hearth that took a bit of care to make look right. Overall I thought they did an excellent job.

Mike came out during the evening to quote us on a runner and some carpet for our bonus room. He was very professional and very informative on which carpets would work best for each location. We decided to have the runner installed first and will call Mike again when we are ready for our bonus room installation. The runner looks excellent. Two of his team came out and installed the runner in the morning. They arrived right on time and got straight to work. They had the runner beautifully installed by 11 am. They cleaned up after themselves, which is something I always appreciate. We are very pleased and are glad we used Carolina In Home Flooring for the job. We are looking forward to working with Mike again soon. You can use this company with full confidence!

I went to Angies List and saw that Carolina In Home Flooring had the best rating. I contacted them - told them what I was looking for and made an appointment for a free in-home estimate. Mike came by and within days I had new beautiful kitchen floor . Make no mistake if you are reading this review don't look any further. These guys are absolutely fantastic !! Great price !! Excellent Work !! Friendly !! Clean !! Courteous !! I love these guys !!!! I look forward to doing more business with them in the future.

It went great. Mike was very pleasant to deal with and not pushy at all. He came out, took measurements, and gave us an estimate within a few hours. Less than a week later, his crew showed up to install the carpet. Mike checked in periodically during the work and his team worked very hard with few breaks. They showed up on time, did great work, and hardly made a peep while they went about their business. I am extremely satisfied with my experience with Carolina In Home Carpets. I would recommend them to anyone. My carpet looks fantastic. Much thanks to Mike and the crew!

We've been thinking about tearing out carpets from our home on the 2nd floor and stairs for a while. We got several estimates from other hardwood places before finding Carolina In Home Flooring on AngiesList. We called Mike and he was able to come out to our home late that very evening to speak with us about what we wanted to get done and brought samples of the hardwood and carpet so that we may take a look at it. His estimate came out to a quote similar to other companies in the area but we chose Mike due to his professionalism, honesty, great AngiesList reviews, and that he seemed to truly care about the business that he provides. We scheduled the work for that next week but had to move it to the week after, due to backorder from Shaw Flooring's side. On Tuesday, we had Bill, Mike's staircase contractor, come out to put the hardwoods on the stairs for us. Then that evening, we had his carpet team come out to put the carpet runner on the hardwood stairs. Wednesday morning the wood floors came in and Mike's hardwood flooring team, with Oscar as the lead, came out that afternoon to start the work on the 2nd floor. They completed the job on Friday at noon. Throughout the ENTIRE process, Mike was in constant communication with us about how the job was going, what do we think of it so far. He came out each day to check on the progress and, once again, to speak with us in-person about how things were going and what was the plan for that day. The hardwood flooring team, Oscar with another gentleman, were extremely hard workers. I don't think they would have stopped to eat a good meal had we not offered food for them! Their workmanship is impeccable. They cleaned up at the end of each day so well, they kept the workspace clean, they took care of our floors, and never seemed to be in a hurry. My husband and I have dealt with many contractors throughout the years and we can safely say we are very impressed!! Overall, a fantastic experience. We could not be happier with how the job turned out. Mike runs a fantastic business and has a great team of people that work with him to do beautiful work. We will definitely use them for tile flooring that we need to have done in the bathrooms soon. I recommend Carolina In Home Flooring highly!! Excellent experience the whole way through. They came to our house with samples and were patient as we sorted through them all and looked at all the options. We had an estimate within a day; the cost was reasonable so we asked them to schedule the work, which they were able to do within a few days. They were punctual, and worked hard the whole day. Ripping out the old floor proved to be more difficult than they expected, so it took a little longer than expected but they stayed until the laminate was installed. They came back the next day to install carpet in our 14x14 family room, which they did in just about an hour, including moving the furniture out then back in. Overall we are extremely happy with their customer service and with their work, and would recommend Carolina In Home Flooring without hesitation. They will be our first call when we need to replace the rest of the house carpeting.

They arrived on time and worked all day with only a short break for lunch. The work area was nearly 700 sq. feet and except for a small amount of shoe molding and a couple of wood thresholds, the work was done in one day. The second day, they arrived on time and finished in about an hour. They readily assisted us in replacing all of the furniture and in placing pads on all of the furniture to prevent scaring the new floors. I have absolutely no complaints and will gladly recommend this company!

Mike showed up on time. He brought samples of carpet and made recommendations to meet our needs. He did not pressure us in any manner. We felt comfortable throughout the selection and installation process. After the installation was complete, he came back to check the work and determine our satisfaction. I would recommend him without reservation. It was a pleasure doing business with Mike.

I got a quote from about 6 different companies. Mike's quote was about the best but the more important to me was his professionalism, punctuality and knowledge. I've never questioned my choice. Everybody on Mike's team were absolutely great, from start to finish. They really want to do the best job possible. Even after the job was done they came to my house a few times to fix little things which I noticed. I would absolutely recommend this company to everybody! In fact I am thinking now about putting tile in my bathrooms and I would ask Mike again.

They were very good. Came back more than once to drop off different samples, and worked with us to find something that met our budget and what we were looking for. Got multiple quotes from other companies and theirs was the best bang for the buck. They also offered a few additional price breaks to make themselves the most competitive. The work took one day and we were pleased with the quality. Would highly recommend.

I am so pleased with Mike and his team, not to mention my new carpet! I considered some of the larger home improvement stores, but wanted to go with someone local for my carpet installation. Being so highly rated on Angie's List, they didn't disappoint. Mike came out and did a measurement and had a quote to me within a few hours. Knowing that I was working under a relatively small time constraint, he made every effort to get my carpet installed within five business days. His crew has moved everything and cleaned up after themselves--I even felt comfortable leaving them for an hour or two to run some errands. My new carpet is beautiful and I could not be more pleased...I will definitely call them again when I get ready to install tile in the bathrooms and downstairs. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

After getting quotes from three other companies, I called Mike. He was able to work around my crazy schedule. In fact, he came over the evening I called because I had no other free time. He brought samples and helped us pick what would work best in our hectic household. His price was less expensive than all the others and the quality of the carpet was better. He was able to install a few days after our initial contact. His installer was professional, on time and did a fantastic job! When we replace the carpet upstairs we will be calling Carolina In Home Flooring.

Overall service was excellent. I received a call back on the same day I called and was able to have a site visit and estimate within a day of my call. The price was very reasonable, the work was done in a very timely fashion and the quality of the work was excellent. The servicing individual was able to move furniture as needed, stretch the carpet in a way to achieve lasting results and clean up whatever mess there was as a result of the work that was done. I highly recommend this company! In my opinion they have clearly earned their high rating for overall excellence.

It was a really easy process. I entered my contact information on the web-site on a Sunday evening and had a call back from Mike early Monday morning and we set up an appointment within a day or two for him to bring by some samples. He brought over a bunch of samples that fit what we were looking to do and took the measurements while he was here. I had an estimate later that day and since the carpet was in stock we scheduled installation for early the following week. The workers were great they got the job done in one day and everything turned out great.

Mike and his assistant manager Andy were always available to answer questions and to make sure the work was done carefully and on time. Their installers were efficient and pleasant. On a job this large, there is always an unexpected complication such as a piece of the flooring that needs to be replaced or a banister that needs reinforcement. Whatever the complication, this company took care of it in a timely fashion and with a smile.

I contacted the company through their website and received a quick response back from Mike. He came out and helped us select the carpet from samples. We were pleased with the installation and had him install wood laminate in the kitchen and a bathroom, and laminate Quadra Tile in a half bath. He worked with us until we found the products that were within our budget. Each time the workers were polite and spoke English. I would not hesitate to hire them again. They went above and beyond what was expected.

From the start, this was an incredibly smooth experience. Mike Nelson answered the phone personally when we originally called. He came for an in-home estimate the following day, showed us several samples and ordered another sample after we reviewed a catalog he provided us. The quote was very competitive, especially considering they moved all the furniture around, removed old flooring and moved kitchen appliances. Very little prep work was needed on our part. They even passed on a discount when their supplier put the product on sale shortly before the work was done. We arranged for the work to be done while we were out of town, and were delighted with the results when we returned. Everything had been put back in place, there was no mess and the floors looked great. We were overall thrilled with the experience and definitely will look to Carolina In-Home Flooring for any flooring needs in the future.

Mike came to our house on our schedule and responded very quickly with an estimate. We had some circumstances and had to delay the project, but Mike was able to work us in when we were ready. He received the materials in completed the install in less than 2 days. We were very pleased with the work

I scheduled with the owner Mike Nelson via email. He was incredibly responsive! We set up a time and the carpet installer showed up a few minutes late but not significant. Luis did a great job in a short period of time and cleaned up after himself. He was very professional. I would definately use them again!

After waiting all day without even hearing from the Home Depot measuring contractors who were supposed to show up, I "fired" Home Depot. I emailed Carolina In-Home Flooring on a Sunday, and Mike responded before 8:30 Monday morning! We set up a Tuesday meeting at my home, where he brought samples geared toward my needs, and I made my choice. The carpet was ordered, came in within days, and was installed promptly on the following Monday morning at my convenience. One week start to finish, great job, professionally done, good communication, all for about $150 under Home Depot and Lowes estimates!

Mike was very professional and prompt. We initiated contact on a Saturday (left a message) and received a call on Monday morning to set up a time to have him come to the house for an estimate and bring samples. Once he arrived, we asked him about a couple of different options and he willingly priced out our different requests. Once we decided on how to proceed, we paid our deposit and he ordered the supplies. It took a few days for our floors to arrive and once they did, Mike contacted us to schedule installation. The installation went smoothly and we were very happy with the results. The hardwood installers were very courteous and conscientious of our furniture (which they moved around to install the flooring), they had everything that they needed and cleaned up after themselves. When we decide to tile our kitchen (if we don?t do it ourselves) we?ll definitely give Mike a call.
