Mike promptly arrived to provide the estimate and discuss options. I had decided upon the style and type of pre-finished oak flooring I wanted, and it was available for immediate delivery & installation. It was easy to select the tile for the foyer/entry area from the array of samples Mike showed me, and there was no delay in it's arrival. Oscar and Pepe were punctual, neat and clean, picking up the debris and waste, and disposing of it. They worked practically without stopping, finished the installation on one long day (they returned the next business day to grout the tile in the entry/foyer). Oscar and Pepe fare truly skilled craftsmen in laying the hardwood flooring, tile and shoe molding. I'm absolutely pleased with the quality and the look of my new hardwood floor. The mitered corners framing my hearth are expertly cut, and appear practically seamless. I'll definitely contact Carolina In Home Flooring for future for the replacement of flooring in my kitchen and other rooms of my home. An absolute first-rate job!

Oscar and his assistant did a great job in a day and a half. We did have a recent problem: in one area, we could feel a large bubble under the laminate. Martha responded quickly to our call, and Oscar and friend came by (on a Saturday, I think it was) to make the repair. All in all, I am very happy with the service provided.

Mike, the owner, came out to do an estimate. He brought several carpet samples and we also discussed the best options for installing hardwoods next to existing hardwoods. He was very helpful. We decided to install the hardwoods and then sand them and re-finish just the new hardwoods. We knew that the stain would not match the existing floors but we did expect that the poly finish would be as well done as the existing hardwoods and have the same sheen. This did not happen to our satisfaction. I left a message with Mike but have not heard from him on this. Also, no one ever contacted us to check on the service. The refinisher said that he tried to match the stain colors by mixing stain with the poly, I think this may have been why the finish does not seem as smooth and thick as our existing hardwoods. The refinisher also installed the quarter round, several of the joints have gaps in them and some of it does not look like they have any stain or poly on them. We are happy with the carpet except we had to do quite a bit of scrubbing to clean the baseboards. There were a lot of marks and also some of the wood was chipped. The scheduling was very flexible, they even did a lot of the installation on the weekend. The crews worked very hard and were easy to work with. If the hardwoods had come out better to our satisfaction we would rate the company higher. Mike agreed to have a 4th coat of poly put on the floors. The previous coats did not result in the look and feel that we expected. He sent a different crew out to do this and now we are finally happy with the wood floors.

We ordered carpet. They called me to tell me that the carpet had come in early and because of that they wanted to push up the installation time. They missed that time and repeatedly had to push it back. They were four hours late and they didn’t show up with all the materials needed to do the job. I am not pleased with the customer service.

Chose this company also because they are local and have their own installation teams on-staff. I had recent hip surgery and these folks were more than obliging in moving things around that I wasn't capable of doing yet (but other companies insisted I do first). The installation went smoothly, quickly; the installation team was pleasant, considerate, and even cleaned the dirty-marks off the floor where the new floor meet the existing master bath linoleum floor. Gold Star!

We were very pleased with the installation process, and the expertise of Henry and his crew. They were clean and thorough. Martha agreed to split up our project in a couple of phases, so we did not have the burden of moving large quantities of furniture in heavy use rooms all at once, and this has made the process much less stressful on our family. We have enjoyed working with Carolina In Home Flooring, and have already recommended them to our neighbors.

I am a real estate investor and was previously using another large company in the area for my flooring needs. After receiving a quote for a recent project, I thought there must be another company with great service at better prices. Based on the great reviews on Angieslist I called Carolina In Home Flooring. Mike came out the same day to provide an estimate in his mobil showroom. His quote was considerably less than the other quote I received so the choice was obvious. His team came back out within the same week. They installed the floor in just a few hours and cleaned up once the job was complete. I would highly recommend Mike and his team.

Carolina In Home Flooring was fast, efficient and provided top notch service. I was very pleased with the quality of the carpet and pads they had to offer. The workmen that came out to do the install were friendly, technically proficient, and on time. The new carpet made a big improvement in the appearance of our home. Before hiring Carolina In Home Flooring, we had shopped around and compared quality and prices at home depot, lowes and some other providers.

We were very impressed with the sales person Martha as well as Oscar and the team of installers. We had pretty specific ideas on what we wanted, and had found an inlay we liked on line. Martha hunted this specific pattern down and found the company out of WI that specializes in such inlays. We were thrilled. She also had armloads of samples to consider, and very carefully looked at the existing hardwoods in the adjoining rooms, so as to ensure we were using the same type and width of woods. All the other companies we talked to did not bring samples and made no effort to find the inlay. All the quotes were pretty much the same - but these guys went above and beyond to ensure were knew exactly what we were going to get,The day the work began, they were on time and were very considerate in ensuring the dirt and dust was kept to a minimum. The owner came out to assist when it came time to layout the inlay, and we worked together on how it should placed around the room. The crew kept us in the loop as the work took several days to tear out, install & 3 layers of sealant. We were extremely happy with the outcome, we will use this company again when we have flooring needs.

Work: Carpet and hardwoods look fantastic, the dust was even kept to a minimum, and they really took extra care to block off other rooms with plastic to ensure that dust did not get everywhere. Service: It started off well, both Martha and Mike made trips to our home and did a great job of discussing options. Mike even left carpet samples overnight so we could be certain of our decision. They were also, very accommodating of our schedule. We agreed that the work would be done on Friday and Saturday, and we could return to the house on Sunday. Unfortunately, when we returned Sunday, the furniture had not been returned. In fact a few items were left outdoors, in the rain. Luckily, nothing was damaged. The fumes were also quite strong. I was concerned about the effect of the fumes on my 1 1/2 year old. This was a bit of a shock to the system and I called Mike to see if we had a mis-communication. Mike was not available via cell phone, he was in an area without coverage. Therefore, I was left to guess as to what happened. We didn't want to risk hurting any of the work that was done, and also, due to the fumes, we decided it was best to go to a hotel. It was early evening, and I couldn't impose on any friends on a Sunday evening (we had imposed enough already, they put us up Fri and Sat). A few hours later, Mike returned my call, and sincerely apologized for the mix-up, realizing he forgot to call me to tell me that it would be best to give the varnish one more day to set before putting the furniture back. If I had been notified earlier, I easily could have made alternative arrangements. The mix-up is understandable, but not what you would expect of a Service Award Winner, I was disappointed that he did not offer to pay for the hotel. I had to request it be deducted from the total. Mike called me an entire week later to dispute if the hotel charge should be refunded and reluctantly agreed to refund the $150. Overall, the work was done beautifully, and the service was not horrible, but it was disappointing. The lack of responsiveness is understandable, but I really did not like that items were left outside, and that I had to justify being refunded $150 for the hotel room when the cause of the charge was not being notified the floors needed another day. I AM UNSURE WHETHER OR NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. I AM HOPING THE LACK OF SERVICE EXCELLENCE IS A ONE TIME THING, BUT THERE ARE SEVERAL HIGHLY RATED FLOORING EXPERTS, SO I MAY TRY SOMEONE ELSE IN THE FUTURE.

Martha was friendly, professional, punctual, and provided carpet samples and an estimate. The next week the carpet was installed in the bedroom, and the installers did an excellent job. The only thing I would have liked is if had they had called before they came as they had said they would do. However, we would still highly recommend this company and will use them in the future.

Martha came out to my house with the carpet and laminate samples. We were really able to match the wood laminate flooring to my existing laminate. Martha was very professional and great to work with. The guys came to do the laminate on Friday, and were finished in about 5 hours. The carpet guy showed up very late on Friday, but he and his crew worked over 12 hours on Saturday to finish the job. They did an outstanding job and the carpet and laminate look great!

Sensational job! Professional work! Quickly done! Martha was great. She came to my house immediately, showed me all the products, took my order and was professional, polite, punctual, personable, and very organized. She placed the order by phone that day from my home because I was in a hurry to get my house on the "summer housing market". Their installers came within 2-3 days and installed the hardwood floors and carpet in the entire house. Great job. But the best was yet to come! My realtor came over and was amazed, literally, she was ecstatic. She said 'this will sell the home'. And today (August 9, 2012) I can report my house is in escrow after only 17 days on the market (!) and with 9 homes for sale in my neighborhood, and I believe in large part it was due to the excellent job this company did and the hardwood floors and carpet they installed. They made the house "pop" and look so good when you enter and throughout the entire house. Thank you, thank you! Again, my realtor says the hardwood floors are "amazing".

Mike was great through the whole process, even with follow-up after installation. Oscar and his crew were very friendly, efficient and left the place as clean as possible once they were done. Their prices beat all of the competition except for one company I dealt with, however, their in-home showroom is what really earned by business. The other company was sending samples home with me left and right, causing me to go back and forth to their showroom at least 5 times during my decision making process. Thank you Mike for being so patient while I picked out my hardwood flooring!

They did a great job. Their pricing was good, and they gave me the senior citizen discount. They were there on time, and if there was a problem, they were right there.

Carolina In Home Services replaced my first floor carpeting in my rental townhouse. They performed the service quickly and did an excellent job. Overall I give them an A+ and I'll be sure to contact them again for future flooring needs.

Mostly smooth, except for needing more tile. They were very responsive to requests and questions I had.

Fantastic! Martha came to the house immediately with a van load of samples. We chose the carpet, she called and checked it was available. Martha was professional, personable, efficient, and very good and helpful. The carpet was excellent and installed right away. In a very big job ($5,700) there was only 1 small glitch (only one) and it was remedied immediately! (the same day, not the next day, the very same day - someone came out and took care of it!) I was very impressed and will definitely use this company again. We are very happy with their work.

Martha came to our home twice with carpet samples. She also had the company send samples of carpet colors. Estimates and responses to any questions or concerns we had were sent (estimates) and answered (questions or concerns) very quickly. The 2nd carpet we chose was on backorder, so Martha gave us the option to stick with the carpet we ordered or go with another (more expensive) carpet that we were first interested in but at the same price as the less expensive carpet!!! We chose to go with the more expensive carpet that was available and could be installed quicker. We chose to move our furniture and remove/dispose of the carpet and padding ourselves which save us a few dollars. We were able to get everything installed on a Saturday. The installers arrived on time, did a fantastic job and made sure we were happy before they left. One of the installers even offered to help us move one of our larger pieces of furniture back into the TV room. Martha checked in with up the day prior to install to review everything with us and then contacted us on Monday to make sure we were happy with everything. We couldn't be happier with our new carpet and padding and the excellent customer service we received!

Sales rep. Martha brought many samples of hardwoods and carpeting so we could get a sense of how colors and textures worked in our own home with our colors and lighting. So much easier than checking out and hauling home a few samples from the big box places. One week later the work men came to tear out the old and bring in the new. We opted to move our own furniture since we have a lot of stuff and a few family things precious to us. We were able to spend several days moving things. The two hardwood floors were done by two of the men with hardly a break; the job was beautiful! Requested edging planks were placed cross-wise were put in place to help separate the old wood from the new. Someday we can get the old redone to match, but this makes for a nice transitional detail for now--and a nice detail for later. The carpet took only a few hours and again those two workmen went very efficiently. The carpet is beautiful and was put down with a special pet-resistant padding to save the carpet from the fate of our old carpet: too many pet accidents! A very new look and feel in just one day on all of these surfaces!

We are very pleased with the tile we chose. They were very friendly, and easy to work with. Martha was the sales representative that came out. She was very nice, and took time to thoroughly explain everything to us. Overall they gave us great service, and did an excellent job.

Martha Gerringer was very helpful. She made 2 trips to bring us samples and had several shipped to our house. Henry and his assistant did a very professional job of installation.

Scheduled a 5pm in-home appointment to select flooring a week ahead of time. They wait until 10 mins after they were supposed to be at the house in Apex to call saying they were stuck in traffic on 440. Then announced that they had to be back in N Raleigh by 6:15pm. Logistically, that's impossible at that time of day because of traffic. My fiance and I drove a total of 80+ miles to meet these guys for an estimate beacuse they were so highly rated here on Angie's list. We joined Angie's list to find service professionals who are just that...professional. Very disappointing.

I used one of Angie's List deals to purchase and have carpeting installed. From the very first phone call, Martha was warm and professional. She was accommodating when we had questions and issues come up.The two carpet installers were also professional. They removed the old carpeting and pad, vacuumed and put back furniture before leaving.We now have lovely, soft carpeting at a reasonable price and having had a very good experience!

Everyone who worked with Carolina In Home arrived when they said they would, did the work in the time they said they would and were very courteous, friendly and professional. It was a very pleasant experience from start to finish. The floors are beautiful.
