Oscar arrived promptly in the morning and he and the other installer worked efficiently and professionally all day. We were very pleased with the results and highly recommend Carolina In Home Flooring.

Calling them was a waste of my time.

Had an un-rushed session where different types of flooring were discussed. When we decided on carpet there were ample samples to choose from and we were provided with an excellent presentation of their pros and cons. Mostly we were looking for something that would stand up to 3 chihuahuas. We got a written estimate that evening. Once we decided, the carpet was ordered and the next day we had a scheduled time for it's installation. The installers showed up when they were scheduled and did an excellent job with no problems whatsoever.. We are very satisfied with the entire process.

We now have beautiful hardwood floors in our house. Getting to this point was not a good experience. We moved all of the furniture out of our first floor and removed the carpet and padding to save a few dollars in addition to allowing the crew to start laying flooring right away (we were staying in a hotel during this time). From the beginning, we requested that the crews let us know what time they would begin and asked that they call when they were finished so we could secure the house. It became comical that they would call when they were coming but would never call when they left. This was an issue because our piano was moved into our laundry room so we would not have to move it down stairs. WE SPECIFICALLY SAID WE DID NOT WANT THE CREW TO EXIT THROUGH THE GARAGE AS IT WOULD REQUIRE THEM CLIMBING OVER THE PIANO!!! Although that seemed a reasonable request to us, multiple times they left by climbing over/around the piano. We had provided a temporary code to the exterior keypad for the garage so they could place the stove there when they needed to remove it. This was the sole purpose for giving them a code. We reiterated that SEVERAL times but it fell on deaf ears. As the job wound down (we were out for the week), we noticed a great deal of stain splashed on the baseboards. We requested that it be cleaned off. After mentioning it twice it was done. On our stairs the same issue came up. As of today there is still stain splashed on the area on either side going up the steps. The last time the installer was here he said they do not do that. It was cleaned of the baseboards but not the steps. When we came back into the house there were a few issues. The wood that was installed around the fireplace hearth was uneven. It looked terrible. I specifically asked two different times when this job was being set if the wood would be flush around the fireplace. I was told YES! There was no conversation about options if the floor was not perfectly level. There were also swirl marks in the foyer and powder room from the sanding device they used. The installer told me that was the best they could do. I had him redo the part in the powder room and had him put some trim around the fireplace so it would look reasonable. The swirl marks in the foyer are not terribly visible but they are there, and will remain there. When the day came for the carpet runner to be installed they were late. We actually had to call and ask where they were at 4:30 for a 3:00 appointment. They arrived just before 5:00. My biggest issue with this company is the lack of customer service. When we came back into our house on 3/16/13, I called the rep we dealt with and left a message that I needed her to call me because we had concerns (swirl marks, fireplace, stain splashes). She sent an email later that day saying the installer would come and make corrections. AS OF 10:30AM 3/25/13 I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A CALL!!! This is a $6000 project and this company cannot even return my call. I would have assumed that a follow up call to the customer when they get back into the house would be standard protocol. As it stands now, I will be working to remove the stain splashes from my stairs. I am going to live with swirl marks along the baseboards in the foyer. Unbelievable!! The really sad part is the floors look great outside of the issues I mentioned. Our lack of satisfaction with the company is a result of their lack of willingness to communicate effectively with us and with their crew to insure everyone was on the same page. There is nothing more frustrating than discussing items with the sales rep and then having the contractors tell you that is not how they do it. It is the company's responsibility to communicate with their contractors. I did not appreciate being in that position. The contractors work for the company. I wrote a check to the company. How did I get in the middle? Where was the customer service to keep me from being in the middle? Unfortunately as people see our floors and ask who did the work, we have to tell them who did it and why we would not recommend them to anyone. These folks missed an opportunity to have raving fans in Apex and they missed it because they did not treat us the way a customer deserves to be treated regardless of the price of the job. We waited a number of years to get in a position to be able to invest this kind of money in our house. It would have been nice to have dealings with a company that respected that.

Oscar and his assistant came on the day we had agreed upon and installed a beautiful floor. It matched very well. They had to come back to take care of a stair facing. They kept me informed at all steps of the process. I would use this company again.

They came out to our house to give my wife and I an estimate and provided us with great tips on how to proceed with our flooring upgrade. They weren't "pushy" sales people and we felt comfortable with dealing with them. We had very bad experiences with other companies who wanted to "wheel and deal" with the pricing and offered us "one-time only" prices and had to make numerous calls to their managers to approve. The used-car salesman approach was very tiring and we felt that Carolina In Home Flooring was a refreshing escape from clever sales tactics. They were very up-front with the proposal of the work that they would do. They were very up-front with the pricing and were very relaxed when dealing with our budget. They explained our options in a clear, concise manner. The decision making was left to us and they just guided us along to ensure we were getting the best product for the money. Their installation schedule worked around ours, so we were guaranteed to get a time that worked for us. They came out within a week of signing the dotted line (they would have come out sooner if we wanted them to). Carpet Installation.... As far as the installers, they were extremely professional and did an amazing job in transforming our house. Our carpets upstairs used to be extremely stained, stretched, dirty, and one room even had a spot where a hot iron had sat and melted the carpet fibers into a nice iron-shaped imprint. Not anymore! They came on-time Thursday morning and was finished by 2 PM with a stairwell and 3 bedrooms. They gave us their names and contact info and asked us constantly what we thought of the job they did. It was perfect on the first try, but just knowing that they respected our input and wanted our feedback DURING the job gave me a nice warm fuzzy feeling inside. They finished the installation and cleaned up behind themselves. If I wasn't the one purchasing the carpet, I would have never known that it was replaced or that anyone had been there doing any work. They cleaned up so well that there wasn't a trace of stray carpet fibers to be found. They even left us some spare carpet in the event any needed to be replaced in the future. This was a nice touch. Laminate Installation.... The laminate installers came on Friday morning and were (as the previous day) ON-TIME. They finished around 5 PM and my jaw dropped when I saw the work they did. The slogan is printed along the side of the packaging of the laminate they installed, but it certainly holds true...It's Amazing What A Floor Can Do! We used to have dirty, stretched, stained carpet and vinyl downstairs and it is now all laminate. The quality of the laminate they used certainly shows and their installation definitely displays no imperfections. They continuously asked for our feedback DURING the install and made extra efforts to ensure our satisfaction. When they were finished, they swept the entire place and we were in awe at how well they respected our home. No damage was done whatsoever and they handled our furniture with care. You couldn't even tell there was an old floor in there beforehand as the installation was so well done and the cleanup was so good. Before leaving, they gave us tips on how to clean the laminate flooring which was extremely helpful. They also left us with an extra pack of laminate flooring in the event that we needed to replace any pieces in the future. This was a nice touch. Overall, this was exemplary work from exceptional installers. The flooring installation looks awesome and we feel like we now have a home that we can be proud of. Martha came out to give me an estimate on replacing my carpeting. She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I decided to replace the carpeting in my living room and family room and to make it consistent, also replace the existing hardwood in my kitchen. I have pet that had been urinating on the carpeting so after removing the carpeting, the installers put down Kilz to make sure the smell was gone. The installation went perfect - the installers did an amazing job. I LOVE my new laminate flooring and am so glad that I chose Carolina In Home Flooring.

We called Carolina flooring for a quote to tear out carpeting on the stairs and upstairs landing of our two story home in December 2012. An appointment was scheduled and an estimator came within a few days of our call. She was very friendly and explained the cost factors, types of flooring and the process that would be followed. She e-mailed us quotes for three options within three days and answered all of our questions promptly through e-mail exchanges. Subsequently, we visited their store to view products we were considering and the person there (presumably the owner) was also very knowledgeable and helpful. We talked it over for a few days and then sent in 50% of the project's estimated cost so the materials could be ordered and our job could be scheduled. Materials were delivered a week in advance of the install date so the hardwood could get acclimated to our environment. Then two workers showed up promptly on the scheduled install date and proceeded to complete the work. They were courteous and industrious and completed the work within three days. They removed all of the debris and cleaned up the areas where they worked. The final cost was $200 more than our estimate because several stair risers had to be replaced after the old steps were torn off. We weren't surprised because we had been told by the estimator that some risers may need to be replaced at extra cost once the project got underway. Our new hardwood stairs and landing look terrific. All in all, this was a very satisfactory experience for us and we definitely will call them again for future work.

Overall, it went very well. This was the second time we used Carolina In Home Flooring. Several months back, we used them to remove old carpet and install laminate flooring in a small separate building on our property that my husband uses for an office/man cave. When we decided to replace the carpet in two bedrooms and a hallway, we immediately knew we wanted to contact this company again. Very glad we did!

Martha brought samples to our home so we could pick out the wood and tile that we wanted. Oscar installed the flooring just days after our final decision and payment of the deposit. He was finished with the full installation in a day and a half and the floors look great.

They were very prompt and efficient. They did an excellent job!

I had a very good experience - I highly recommend Martha. She was always prompt, responsive and communicative. When we ran into the subfloor issue, she responded very well and helped get me all the information I needed to feel comfortable. Recommend!

Went great. The workers were able to complete the entire job in a day. They moved all of our furniture around from room to room as they went along. The carpet looks great.

I emailed the company and received a very quick response to my inquiry. Martha visited my home with a large number of flooring samples (large samples) and explained difference in installation, maintenance & cost of different wood & laminate flooring types, and answered all my questions. She delivered additional color & style samples for me to review. She came late in the day to accommodate my work schedule and took all the time that I needed. She took measurements of each room and provided me with a list of the rooms & their dimensions at my request. A detailed estimate arrived via email the following day. Martha was very helpful and flexible in setting up an installation date around my frequent work travel. The work completed included the installation of laminate flooring and Silencer pad in the foyer, hallway, family room, dining room, (2) bedrooms, master bedroom & walk-in closet. They removed & disposed of existing carpet, pad and tack strip, removed & disposed of existing hardwood in foyer, fixed a few areas that squeak, filled in a low spot in the underflooring, furnished & installed white primed quarter round molding and matching transitions where needed, and also moved and replaced large furniture. Oscar and another crew member called shortly before arriving as scheduled on the installation day. He and his coworker worked quickly; they were courteous and very careful in moving my furniture. Oscar even suggested that he could put felt pads on the base of my furniture if I would supply the pads. All work was completed in the time promised. At the end of the first day, the crew cleaned up the site and left it in a very tidy condition. The multiple angles of my walls did not present a problem -- the finish work on the quarter-round molding was nicely done. All debris was removed, workers swept the floor, and returned all my furniture (with felt pads). The new floor looks amazing, the old squeaks in the floor are gone, and my home feels about 15 years younger!

Very well. Only complaint is that quarter round did not come in with floor so could not put things back in place for over a week. Took 2 days to do floors and then had to come back a week later to finish. But in the end they did a great job.

Martha came out and brought samples, gave me estimates, left samples for us to look at and choose. She came back to pick them up at a time that was convenient for me. Once we made a decision to go ahead, I called her and we set a date within a week, including time for her to order the carpet. The workers arrived on time, removed the old carpet and disposed of it and did an excellent job installing the new carpet- not a wrinkle anywhere and I could not find the seams when I inspected the job. I will be calling them again when we are ready to paint and carpet another room downstairs. We chose a premium carpet with an upgraded pad. The carpet was expensive, but I'm willing to pay for this kind of quality and service, so it was worth it.

Mike and Carolina Home Flooring are professional and prompt. From start to finish they were wonderful. I always had great communication by email and phone calls. Our initial consultation was friendly and courteous. Mike was fantastic. There was no high pressure whatsoever. Mike explained everything to us in regards to our questions about the best fit for what we were looking for. He is very knowledgeable about carpeting. His crew that came on installation day was great as well. They were prompt and professional. We have no concerns of any kind with Carolina Home Flooring. We will use them again!

Work was completed within one week from meeting with Martha. She had very helpful recommendations. Installers were courteous and tidy. Really appreciated prompt service and ability to view carpeting samples at home. Was able to utilize Angie's List promo coupon which was a plus. Would definitely use Carolina in Home Flooring again.

We are happy with our new tiles in the bathrooms and laundry room. Martha was a pleasure to work with. She came to our house and showed us various samples and mailed us (arrived in 3 days) larger tile samples that she didn't have on hand. She came a second time when we changed our minds on our choice of tile and helped us choose a new one. I didn't have trouble reaching Martha or Mike the owner with questions. The installers were very professional and the installation went smoothly and came out great. The only hiccup was confusion about the installation date. First a Friday/Saturday install was offered which was ideal for me. Then it turned out that it could be either a Friday/Saturday or a Friday/Monday install. It turned out to be Friday/Monday. I didn't like the uncertainty, it would have been nice to have a definite date in advance.

Came at 9 and gone by 5. Removed old floor, installed new floor, cleaned up mess and gone.

Martha came out to help us decide what carpet to install as well as what to do about the kitchen floor and the hardwood floors in the entryway and half bath. We were happy with her advice and followed it. Initially, I was disaappointed that Mike did not come as I expected based on many of the reviews on Angie's List, However, in the final analysis Martha was more than satisfactory. Mike used three different subcontractors as follows: Oscar and his crew installed laminate tiles in the kitchen and made a minor repair of the floor under the refrigerator where a water leak had slightly damaged that area. They did an excellent job. Antonio and his crew installed the carpet. They were super excellent. They repaired a few squeaks in the floor and stretched the carpet making a perfect fit. I would rate them as A+++. Sam and his crew refinished the hardwood floors. The completed job is good, but we were not overly pleased with the final color. It was lighter than Sam had indicated that it would be when completed. In addition There were some other issues with regard to expected arrival times. There was another issue of concern with regard to damage to the bathroom door. However, Mike came out to inspect the damage, and we settled that matter to my satisfaction. Two out of three jobs were excellent and the third was just adequate. I did like my dealings with Martha (sales representative) and Mike, the company owner.

Overall, the experience was great and would recommend them to anyone. Price was not the lowest (in the middle) but I was sold on the professionalism of Mike and his crew.

Everything went like clockwork. Everyone arrived when they said they would. The workmen were very professional and did a great job. Oscar even cut some boards for my husband when he noticed my husband was setting up to do this. Very nice touch! The entire job took about 3.5 hours.

Martha came to my home and showed samples for hardwood flooring and carpeting. She provided a quote in a timely manner (with Angie's List discounts) and we set the installation dates, hardwood first. The crew was late the first day because of a flat tire but when they got here they started work right away by moving and covering furniture very carefully; they finished up the next day. Although it was raining the second day, they set up a canopy so that they could continue cutting wood. The third day the carpeting crew came and completed the job (tearing out the old, installing the new) in approximately 3-1/2 hours. All parties were very professional. Martha was helpful in the selection process as she has excellent product knowledge and a good eye for color and style. Both crews were experienced and worked efficiently and the clean up was thorough. The hardwood floors look GREAT and the carpeting is quite luxurious. Kudos for an excellent job.
