We couldn't have been more pleased with Carolina In Home Flooring. Chris, the rep, was very knowledgeable and responsive, and even brought additional samples by our home. However, nothing can top the installation team led by Emilio. They worked tirelessly for two days, and did impeccable work.

David and his team were very professional. We ultimately chose another vendor, but we were impressed by the customer service, price, and quality of product. I would definitely keep them in mind for future projects.

Chris knew exactly which carpet was great looking and inexpensive for us to sell our home. Boris was also very prompt in scheduling the installation the same day the carpet was ordered. Juan and his crew were very professional and the work he did on the seams of the carpet are the best I’ve ever seen. Will definitely be using Carolina in Home Flooring in our new home as well.

We looked at the "completed" job. It looked much thinner than any other poly coat we'd seen done. We could feel grain through the coating, which is a bad sign. We were told it would smooth out in three months, and that hey would come back and fix it if it did not. Not only did it not, but a spill near the trash can ate completely through the coating in under four hours. They have so far refused to come back and deal with the problem after more than three weeks. On the upside, the carpet was beautifully done.

We had our bedroom carpet removed and hardwood flooring installed. Was very pleased with the entire project. We received a very competitive quote and excellent communication with The company throughout the entire process. New flooring was going to be butting up to existing wood flooring in hallway and we were very happy that new flooring that was stained and finished on site was an exact match with our existing hardwoods. I would highly recommend this company to anyone considering installing hardwood flooring.

This is an excellent contractor to work with. Very knowledgeable and professional. Quote was very competitive, they arrived on time and were very responsive to any concerns we had. Job was completed on time and the work was excellent. Fidel and his brother Miguel are excellent craftsmen. They moved our furniture with care. You would be in good hands with this contractor. They cleaned up each day and left the premises in perfect condition.

From start to finish this company was great to work with. They took so much time with me answering questions, and showing me samples both in my home and in their showroom. Once I made my selection, I received a call right away to schedule the installation, which took place about a week later. I had my entire first floor done, and they completed the work in a day and a half. The installers were fantastic. Despite being a little late both days, they worked extremely hard and were very professional and cleaned up after themselves before leaving both days. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, and will use them again when I’m ready to do my second floor.

We did not hire them. The salesman came to our house, measured the entire upstairs, discussed different types of flooring and answered most of our questions. He looked at our stairs twice and we discussed how those would have to be done. We asked for a quote for hard wood flooring including the stairs. He sent a quote for the hardwood but with carpet on the stairs. When I responded to his email stating again that we wanted hardwood on the stairs and not carpet, he asked me to send him pictures of the stairs. This did not instill confidence in this company and we were not inclined to do his job for him. We will be using a different company.

Honestly, we were floored [sic] by the speed and quality of the work that was done! First, the staff at the store helped us decide what kind of flooring would be best for our ranch home and lifestyle--we'd originally thought we were going to have laminate, but turned out vinyl plank was a better idea.The guy who came to measure/***** brought samples to check out too. Second, they informed us that it would take only 1-2 days to do this job; my husband and I rolled our eyes and agreed, "we'll give'em a week at least". Well, the crew showed up right on schedule and wasted no time getting right to work; the four-person crew felt like four tornadoes! They came in, started to work and kept at the job until it was done, 12 hours later. They returned the next day to finish up baseboard trim, etc. It was one of the most professional experiences we ever had with home improvement services, and we really are happy with the floor(s) we selected and with the thoroughness of the work they did, including cleanup and returning the furniture where it belonged. We were impressed; thank you!

We highly recommend Carolina In Home Flooring. The company just put hardwoods in throughout our home, and we were so happy with the process and the final result. We had wonderful customer service - so attentive and great at communicating (emails, texts and calls were always returned promptly). Everything was done on schedule - we were at the beach for a week and came home to absolutely beautiful, perfect new floors. And they took care of everything - they changed out our stair railings (to match the new floors), moved the furniture in and out of the house, moved and replaced the sink, toilet, etc. It was great finding one company that was able to take care of the entire project, from start to finish! Highly recommend!!

This is the 2nd time I hired to install Cortec Vinyl Plank. They arrived on time, put my flooring and and cleaned up. I will definitely use them again.

Overall, very smooth from initial contact with Martha to in-home visit with sales representative (Drew). We selected sheet vinyl and got a quote we liked. Scheduled installation for the following week. The crew arrived late by 15 minutes from the window given, but the job was completed in the four hour time frame estimated. The new floor is beautiful and we are totally happy with the product and the service.

Initially things went well. The salesman/estimator came out to see our floors and provide a quote. He was dressed professionally and was very knowledgable. For example, he immediately recognized the existing color of stain on our floors. He also recommended changing the shoe molding color to white, something our realtor also suggested we do (apparently a trend). He explained the options we'd have with stain color, how many days it would take to complete, when we would need to vacate our home, etc. We sought quotes from two other area companies, but chose Carolina In Home Flooring even though they submitted the highest quote. I called the office to ask questions about their quote, as it was not broken down by cost per foot and the other quotes were. I wanted to truly compare "apples to apples." I was genuinely interested to know why their service cost more than the others. I didn't know if maybe the refinishing crews were company employees vs. sub-contractors or something. In asking that question and letting them know they were the highest quote, the owner offered us a slightly lower price. We received from them an initial quote of $3,975.91 and a revised quote of $3,560.85. We decided to go with oil based polyurethane finish rather than water based. While water based carries low odor and dries faster, it would have cost an additional $423 that we didn't want to spend. We chose CIHF on Friday, April 6 and received a call either that same day or the following Monday from the project manager to schedule our project. It was a two week wait which seemed reasonable. The crew showed up Monday on time and went straight to work removing the existing shoe molding, moving furniture, and draping the other spaces to protect them from the dust. We took our dogs to the kennel for the week and left the house for the week. While an initial team of 5 arrived Monday morning, there were only 2 who stayed behind to do the actual sanding and refinishing work. We periodically received text messages with pictures of the progress. Initially we were happy with what we could see in the pictures we got. However, when we got back to our house Saturday afternoon, we were far from happy. The finish on the polyurethane was gritty, textured and clumpy pretty much throughout. Stain had been splashed up on the baseboards and walls in every room. The shoe molding (quarter round) had only been primed and even the primer coat wasn't done well. The shoe molding install was sloppy with gaps at many of the joints and some pieces were short while others were too long. We could see swirl marks in the wood, globs of poly in just about every corner and under the toe kicks in the kitchen. The stain was not uniform at all with light and dark areas throughout. What a nightmare! We had been very specific and emphatic in explaining that we were refinishing our floors because we were getting ready to put the house up for sale. And, to top it all off, the toilet paper roll in the half bath had been ripped out of the wall and was hanging there, our fridge had been damaged and the kitchen table had not been put back in place. I contacted Eric, the project manager, and let him know what we found. He sent Antonio back to fix our issues; TWICE. After two returns without our issues being resolved I spoke with Eric on the phone for at least 20 - 30 minutes expressing my deep frustration and regret. He promised to make it and right and said they would do a complete re-do on the floors with the SAME CREW. He worked hard to convince me he would supervise them closely this time. After initially agreeing (feeling I didn't have a choice), I called the office and explained to Martha the situation. She said she would have company owner Mike call me back. Within 15 minutes Eric called from the office and explained they would be sending a different crew. The new crew (2 guys) arrived on Thursday, April 11th. We again kenneled our dogs and headed for to a local hotel (now absurdly expensive because it was graduation and Mother's Day weekend). Fidel and Juan started over from the beginning and completed the work in 2 1/2 days (versus 6 for the original work). The results were worlds better than the first job. In the end, we're very happy with how the floors look and feel. However, getting here was a huge hassle and headache. Even though we didn't have to pay Carolina In Home Flooring any additional money, it cost us quite a bit more than what we initially expected with hotel x2, kennel x2, meals out over those 9 total days x2, the expense to repair our half bath ($150) and have the baseboards professionally painted ($375). If you choose CIHF, be sure to find exactly who they're sending to do the work.

We are *thrilled* with the finished product we received from CIHF. I was equally thrilled with the sales manager, Drew, when he came out to our new home to measure the space & provide an estimate. He worked with me reviewing the estimate several times as we chose to install hardwood flooring on our stairway as well, which I appreciated greatly as this is our first home & first time dealing with a contractor / home service of any sort. We were also very pleased with the installers and refinishers that came out to our house to perform the work, Fidel and Alex and their crews -- cannot say enough great things about their professionalism & excellent workmanship. Our floors look amazing so as far as the finished product goes, we are very pleased. Dealing with the project manager, Eric, was another thing altogether. I was told very clearly that Fidel would meet me at the property before beginning the project to test out stain colors, and Eric assured me that having 8-10 colors tested would be no problem. When I took a long lunch from work early in the day to meet Fidel at the property, he only had 4 stain colors with him, and stated that he was never told that he should bring more. When I relayed this to Eric, he assured me that he had indeed told Fidel the number of colors he should bring, and it became an excellent game of he said, he said, with no one assuming responsibility for the mix-up. Turning to Mike, the owner of CIHF, did not result in the professional, customer-service-driven outcome I would have hoped, but as I got such a secure feeling from Fidel & his crew, I did not see a point in pushing the matter. Other little things, such as leaving stain on the floor molding, refusing to paint the stairway stringer (the stairs were carpeted before the hardwoods were installed, leaving a 1"-2" unpainted gash the entire way up the stairs) when the "contract" we signed before the project was completed stated that CIHF would paint any areas that needed touching up (to which I received the lackluster reply of "I agree with you that our literature is misworded, but we have no intention of touching up the paint"), left a less-than-sweet taste in my mouth, but as the work itself is phenomenal and our floors look incredible, I would hire CIHF again.

They were fine. They seemed competitive. There was the sales woman who did the measuring. As far as the actual carpet contractors, I don't know, maybe three. The work took two days. It was a three level town house.

This is our second time using CIHF for a major flooring purchase/install. We used them in our previous house and were thrilled with the outcome. We recently moved into a new house and weren't a fan of the floors. We decided to contact CIHF first because of our positive experience the first time around. We have had the new carpet and engineered flooring for 1 week now and we are very happy with it. Everyone we came in contact with was helpful and patient. When we discovered a possible show stopper issue during the tear out of old floors CIHF had all hands on deck to give us options and we ended up arriving at a suitable solution that didn't increase the overall price. The installation quality was great. The installers were patient, thorough, answered all our questions, and were respectful of our home.

Sanding them down, and refinishing. They also included painting the baseboards and moving the furniture. We were able to negotiate with them. We were able to come to an agreement at a lower price. The man sounded informed and knew what he was talking about.

I did not go with them. They provided a quote. They did a pretty good job. They were a little bit more expensive. They seemed professional and seemed to know what they were talking about. I got a lower estimate so I did not go with them.

I am a happy customer! I had asked Chris to come out to my home a year ago for an estimate. Time passed and we were finally ready to change our carpet. I contacted Chris by email and I was in the office the next day looking at samples. He understood our wants and needs and provided several options at different price points, and he explained the pros and cons of all. We made a decision and 6 days later, our new carpet was installed! We are very pleased with the final product. Installation was great- the two installers were professional and kept a clean work space the entire time and cleaned up on their way out. We will definitely use Carolina In Home Flooring again!

Ultimately, we are happy with the finished product. The beginning of the project did not go smoothly. We were expecting the workers between 8 and 10am and were told that this was a 2 hour job. The night before (7PM) the day of the job we received a call from the project manager asking if we could reschedule. Since we had taken time off of work to get this completed, the answer was no. So, according to schedule, a worker arrived at 9am the next day. Unfortunately, this 2 hour job turned into a 6 hour job. We contacted the project manager when we were at the 4 hour mark (double the time we had allotted for this job) because the worker informed us that it would be ANOTHER 2 hours. We had planned to take care of a few things; taking advantage of the day off during business hours. We missed our 1PM appointment due to the job taking triple the amount of time that we were told. The worker worked alone the entire day. At the end of the job, the project manager came and we discussed the huge discrepancy in the estimate time and actual time. Additionally, there were gaps between the new floor and each doorway, the toilet, etc. We were informed that the new flooring was thinner than the old and that the salesman should have informed us that this was a possibility. Well, he did not. Also, there was damage to the baseboards; a groove that extended the entire perimeter. We are not clear how this happened, but my husband states that he saw the guy pull up the floor and it looked like the tool that he used would hit in the same place as this gash. So, at this point, we were not happy with the results. We spoke with the project manager. THIS IS WHERE THEY REALLY SHOWED HOW GREAT A COMPANY THEY ARE. As we all know, things don't always go well, but the response to issues is important to consider. He completely agreed that the was clear damage to our baseboards. He was sorry that our expectations were not managed properly regarding the outcome of the gaps at every door way and at the toilet. He gave us advice about contacting a plumber to fix the toilet. He arranged for other workers to come and fill in the gaps with putty. Also, they repaired the baseboards and repainted them. He was also very apologetic regarding the excessive amount of time that this job took. He explained that they had a bigger job that was running over and that's why the worker was alone on this job. (Reason for the last minute call the night before to try to reschedule) He stated this is not customary behavior and just unforeseen circumstances. We are in the process of getting a plumber to fix the pipe so that the toilet sits flush on the new floor. Besides that, everything is GREAT. We are very satisfied with the finished product. Of course, it would be optimal for all things to go as expected. However, you should know that if things don't go perfectly, this is a company that takes full accountability and will fix things to ensure that you are happy with the quality of the work. I would hire them again.

The work was great. We did have an issue where the scheduler called and told me the materials would not make it in time for our scheduled installation. After I called to complain, the material showed up on time. The work they preformed was excellent, but when they removed the toilets and put them in the showers they did not clean up that area when they were done. They did have to come back because the original order did not have the carpet strips.
