Like clockwork, everything went smoothly.

They were very professional right from the time I first talked to Kelly to schedule an appt. with Mike to come out and give us an estimate and show us some samples (which he has right on his truck). Our meeting with him went very well, we were so impressed we gave them the job. Partial payment is required before ordering, rightfully so. We scheduled the date to have it done, Kelly called prior to that date to go over everything with us, and what we were to expect. Also, sent emails confirming everything and a list of what was needed from us to make ready for the Installers. The day of the installation the workers were on time as scheduled, went over everything with my husband before beginning. (The only negative that he had to say was one of the workers kept putting his hands on the wall when he was talking. I mentioned this only because we just had the whole inside painted, but after he was corrected...it didn't happen again.) They worked straight through the day, not taking any breaks, job was completed in about 5 hours! They did an awesome job, couldn't be more pleased. There was some clean-up on our part, but that was to be expected. We are so pleased we are having them back to re-do our kitchen and bath room flooring...we'll let you know how that goes? We have every confidence, it will be great!!! There was a follow-up call to make sure we were pleased with what was done, final payment is expected at that time.

These are very pleasant people, from the owner right down to the installer's helpers. They were all prompt and professional. I was particularly impressed by the owner's interest in our best interests. We have just ordered another 200 square feet form him at the time of this writing. You will be pleased and happy in doing business with these gentlemen.

It was great from start to finish. The guys showed up on time and moved all the heavy furniture, treated all stains, and steam cleaned all areas. Carpet looks and smells terrific!

This company is very professional from the time Martha, the sales person came to measure and show me samples to the actual installation and afterwards follow up calls to make sure everything was perfect. Their installer Oscar is a HUGE asset to the company. He had to overcome a lot of challenges in my older home. He was able to solve them and came back to attend to a small concern I had and immediately solved that too. His crew was polite and the mess was totally cleaned up. If he was as much as 10 minutes late, I got a call letting me know. This company is first class and I will gladly recommend them.

We could not be happier with our new floors and with all those at Carolina Inn Home Flooring who helped us along the way. Martha came out the day after we called and went over several options available and helped us find just the right floors that would best match the existing hardwoods in the hallway and dining room. I truly appreciated the time she took during the consultation and in working up a few different quote options for us (which we received later that same evening). Compared to the other quotes we received, not only where their prices comparable or lower, but their friendliness, professionalism and knowledge stood out from the others. Once we confirmed which options we wanted to go with. Kelly got us scheduled quickly and was accessible by phone or email to answer any questions we had through out the process. Oscar did a great job with the installation. It did up taking an extra half day than originally anticipated, but it was worth the wait. He made sure that when he was finished, everything was clean, all paint touch ups were complete and he even got the floors to match perfectly with out having to install any transition strips between the old and new floors. We have had several guest comment of the transformation and who amazing the new floors look!

I had a wonderful experience. Their response was quick. Samples were set up in my living room. I explained that my goal was to prepare my house for sale. I chose an inexpensive carpet but upgraded the padding for comfort and sound reduction. They worked quickly and efficiently. Clean-up was perfect. I can't see any seams and no shedding. The quality of the "inexpensive" carpet is better then what I had before. As a single mother, my biggest fear is being taken advantage of by contractors. I highly recommend Carolina In Home Flooring.

We hired Carolina In-Home Flooring to originally tear up some carpet and replace it in the den, and also tear up and replace carpets in the living room and dining room with hardwood floor. Originally Martha, a salesperson, came and measured, as well as gave us advice. She actually managed to find a way to do the job significantly ($3k) cheaper by keeping and refinishing the hardwood in the doorway that was already present. She wasn't pushy and gave good reasons for what we should buy and invest in, and where we can save money. Initially the job was booked to have the carpet and hardwoods finished and organized in one go. We had some scheduling issues - which led to a great deal of emailing back and forth, and the requiring of me giving them keys. Originally I asked if they'd just come through the front door - which I can control remotely. Confusion began when a lot of emails went back and forth, and I was upset that I couldn't be given clear timing (12-2 as a window is not exactly specific), as I wanted to not have to leave keys with people I didn't know. Being from NYC I didn't want to leave anyone with the ability to make copies of my keys. I admit I was standoffish with Martha over having to organize keys, and the moving timelines around based on when we could get them in the house. I was firm and a bit mean (In that I said it wasn't fair that I had to give someone my keys and that they weren't being clear when things would begin - I didn't use any insults, nor did I raise my voice or tell anyone they were bad.) In fact, I made one mistake with the timing and blamed Martha; I apologized for that, because I was wrong to blame her! This led to a call from Mike Nelson, the owner, who proceeded to read me the riot act - which he claimed I did to Martha, but Mike was raising his voice at me that I didn't understand the industry, and that they'd 'happily walk off the job' if I didn't give them a key. Because I wanted to move in and didn't have time to cancel a job mid-job (at this point the floors were down but not finished, the carpets were not in, and I had given them two deposits) I didn't fight back, but I did, however, feel utterly awful for the rest of the day. Seriously, I paid a company to organize my floors and they legitimately made me feel awful for hours. Mike repeatedly said how professional they were, how many jobs they did, how great the job would be when we saw it, how excellent their crews were, and how many fans they had. Regardless of how good the job is, it is beyond unprofessional how I was treated. I am yet to receive an apology, and doubt I ever will. However, Mike has been quick to ask for updates to the Angie's List review to reflect corrections made to the job, and they have been made. They finished the job in time, on schedule, and everything was installed. Today we entered the house. The carpet was/is nice - soft, bouncy, and beautifully-made. The wood was stained as agreed and finished properly.There were stains on the molding and some of the walls from the project, but someone came in and touched up the areas that needed to be painted. They have since returned to fix another spot that we identified and were quick to respond and deal with it.

We re-floored most of our house with hardwoods, a small carpeted area in the living room and the luxury vinyl tile in the kitchen. Martha brought the show room to us. We had an accident with a carpet cleaner and it leaked a large amount of water down through the carpet and into the sub-flooring (particle board). We wanted that fixed with plywood and opted to have most of the sub floor done with plywood. Martha took her time with us and answered all of our questions, even the ones the popped up after she left. Oscar and his crew were wonderful. Even though the weather didn?t cooperate, they didn?t let that hinder their work. They set up a tent outside the front door and went to work. They ripped up the sub-flooring and replaced it with the plywood the way we wanted, which meant sending one of the guys out to get the extra materials so this could be done. They finished the hardwoods and luxury tile on time. Our carpet was scheduled to be installed later that week. We were wonderfully surprised when they were able to install the carpet much sooner than scheduled. We were very impressed with Jose and his partner . They worked fast and cleaned up well when done. Our floors look GREAT!!!! We plan on having them do more work for us in the future and would highly recommend them.

Fantastic. Sales appointment on time, brought samples, discussed thoroughly product, good suggestions, knew his products and industry, installer was Oscar and team, arrived on time, called ahead and said would be delayed 2 hours due to another job, started with 2 guys then after lunch, 4 guys. Finished entire job in 9 hours. Very professional, friendly, cleaned up!! Still love the floor, no problems, coming up onto 2 months later. I have already recommended to a friend.

We found our entire experience with Carolina In Home Flooring to be excellent at every step: from Martha the salesperson, to Oscar who did the removal of a section of existing hardwood floor, to Jose who inlaid the carpeting. We now have a plush and cozy floor in our family room that looks high end yet is very cozy and inviting. The entire team is highly professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We certainly will not hesitate to use Carolina In Home Flooring again!

Consultation for the measurement and review of the sample hardwoods went well and I greatly appreciated the sales associate effort to help me match up the new hardwood with what I currently had install. The installation crew were great also, very professional and well skilled in the installation of the hardwood floor. Well definitely use them again when the need arises.

They were great! We were moving into a previously owned house and wanted to have the floors refinished before we moved in. Unfortunately our closing date kept getting pushed back and we had to reschedule three times. They worked around our schedule and still got all the work done before we moved in. The carpet and the hardwoods look great and we were really pleased with the result. I would highly reccommend them to anyone!

This is a great company! It keeps and even exceeds its promises. I wanted to replace my entire second floor with engineered hardwood. Mike responded within a day of my email request, came to visit and helped me navigate the choices of woods or laminates. I selected my wood (a nice engineered hardwood) and they install premium padding with it, so it doesn't have that hollow sound when you walk on it. The installers, Oscar and Pepe, were outstanding They arrived on time and worked fast and well. We encountered a bump in the subfloor that had to be leveled, and they couldn't get a sander because so many companies were closed to the holiday weekend. But they found one and came back early Saturday -- especially early because I had a mattress and bed delivery scheduled for that morning. They got the floor done in record time. They helped me move a few pieces of furniture back into the rooms and left not one speck of dust or trash. This was a great experience! Oh, and the floors look awesome!

Met with Mike originally who came to do an estimate and tell us what choices we had in terms of colors, flooring, etc. Answered all our questions and explained the process and timeline to be expected. Had an estimate within a couple days as promised. The job started on time and although finished a day or so later than we had hoped, Mike and Kelly were excellent at communicating to us every step of the way. Upon finishing the job, Oscar and his team were there to replace all Furniture and were very pleasant and professional. The most important part of this process was the fact that i felt they were always available to discuss and i felt they were very much on top of this job. We love our new floors and they look superb. The match between old and new is perfect. I would recommend them to my neighbors..

This is the second time we used this company to install carpet in a bedroom. They were very professional/nice, responsive, and the quality of the carpet and service is the best. I will use them again.

I called Carolina In Home Flooring for an estimate on installing hardwood in my house. Mike Nelson came on Tuesday, June 4. Today is Friday, June 14 and I still have not received my estimate. When I called to leave a message, I received an email saying Mike was out of town and would respond when he returned. That was Tuesday, June 11. I still have no response, no estimate. I guess business must be pretty good for them.

The installation went very well. The work was completed in about 3 hours. The installers moved some pretty heavy furniture from the bedroom in order to install the carpet in the master bedroom, Prior to the installation, the company was contacted for a free in home estimate. They called us quickly and had someone out within the next couple days to take measurements and to select the carpet. The estimate was later emailed to us and we were given approximately 30 days to make a decision. Upon making a decision, the installation was scheduled in no time. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

Everything went extremely well. The project took just over 3 weeks to complete including the estimate, ordering of materials and the actual installation work. Both Mike and Kelly were very professional and able to answer all of my questions about the products and everything that was to be done during installation. I was very impressed with the quality of all of the work that was performed. Two things stood out the most; first the job done to match the wood that was finished on site to my existing wood floor was excellent, it is very difficult to tell where the transition is. The second is that all of the work is very tight, no gaps or sloppy edges. Overall I am very happy and would recommend Carolina In Home Flooring to anyone who is looking to have similar work done.

Great service! Mike came to our home with his van with samples and explained all of our choices and took all the measurements and quickly turned around a quote. His team did a great job on installation, and gave us a great price on high end carpet. Would highly recommend Carolina In home flooring to anyone who needs carpet, wood floors, or tile. We are planning to have them do our basement next.

The carpet team showed up within the timeframe specified. They did a good job of moving my furniture without damaging and it and cleaning up after themselves. The only problem was not having enough carpet to finish the steps and the master closet. Apparently Martha forgot to include these measurements in the order. So, Jose had to come back the next week to finish the job. This pushed my listing date out. Although I received an apology, I was inconvenienced and a little disappointed that such an oversight occurred.

Received quotes for hardwood flooring installation in a 150 sq ft upstairs hallway. Prices ranged from $1800 from others to $899 with Carolina In Home Flooring Inc. thanks to their Angie's List special of $899 for $150 sq ft of pre-finished real oak flooring installed. Timely quote from an extremely friendly and pleasant agent, samples shown at your home, supplies arrived quickly, installation was done promptly and professionally, and the flooring seems excellent. Have now hired them for carpet in a bedroom and stairs, will leave a review there after we've had the carpet for a few weeks to ensure there's no immediate issues.

We've used Carolina In-Home flooring the prior year to install bamboo in our three 2nd floor bedrooms and landing. They are so thorough, reasonably priced, and hard-working that we didn't hesitate to work with them for a second time. So, this time, Martha came out to take measurements on our first floor. She emailed us an estimate (with discount for Angie's List subscribers!) and we requested Oscar and crew to come back and work. We scheduled work to be done in late November and Oscar offered to work on Thanksgiving day, but of course we would never have him or his crew working on a holiday, so they started the day after and finished up the next Monday, which worked fantastic for us! The floors were put in professionally and with flair (they even built a nice angled edge along our fireplace hearth for no extra charge! Really stylish) and after they finished and cleaned up it was as if they were never there! I can't recommend Carolina In-Home flooring enough. They are all-stars!

As Angie's List members we settled on Carolina In Home Flooring after researching various vendors and chose to go with this company because of the many reviews that spoke so highly of the quality of the work, materials and customer service. Mike came to our house with his mobile van that contained so many samples of flooring. When we settled on a style/color he arranged to have some large samples shipped to us. These were not the usual 5"x 5" examples that you find at the big box stores but rather 10"x24' size that made it so much easier to see how it looked with our cabinets, counter tops, carpeting etc. We settled on a choice and arranged for the installation. When the crew arrived, Oscar who was the lead installer did a walk through to see what was involved and then set to work. The crew worked quickly and efficiently and it was clear that they knew what they were doing and had done this many times before. When they were finished (total time less than two days) we couldn't have been more pleased. I would not hesitate to use Carolina In Home Flooring again and would recommend them to family, friends and neighbors. Mike (owner) and Oscar and his crew are true professionals in every sense of the word.

Other than some timing issues, which was really no fault of anyone's, since we had closing delays that changed it up some, we were very pleased with the results. The crew was very polite. Four guys came and quickly took out the old and installed the new. I think it took them 3, maybe 4 hours tops to do it all. We're hoping to finish off an attic space next year, and we would definitely call this company again. Thank you.
