Kelly and Mike were very helpful and knowledgeable. I wasn't aware they no longer do floor refinishing, so that was my mistake from not checking their website beforehand. I really appreciated Mike telling me they were the right company for the job, instead of just taking my money and doing a bad job. He was very helpful and gave me some great advice.

They brought their carpet display to my house and help me select the colors and quality level I wanted. They measured all of the rooms and provided total cost installed. Their service was provided when scheduled. They moved all of the existing furniture out of the rooms and after the carpeting installation was completed they moved everything back to where it was located. There was no damage to wall or doors during the moving. The owner was there the day the work started and checked back to make sure I was happy with their work. I always get at least 3 quotations when I do any major work. Their price was not the lowest (close) but I felt more comfortable with them then the lowest price.

It was a one day job but he took two days. He was very slow but thorough.

The guy who came out for an estimate was very thorough in terms of talking to me about what kind of floor I wanted. I initially thought I might want to go with tile, but after talking with him, I decided to go with the hardwood floor. He wasn't trying to talk me out of tile, but gave me the pro's and con's for that space, and I think I made the better choice going with hardwood. The women who work at the office helped schedule the job in a very short time frame since they knew I wanted to have it completed prior to Christmas, and they got it done. They did a great job! I'm VERY picky about lines and small finishing details, and they did a great job. They came one afternoon about 2pm and got 9/10ths of the job done that day. There were 3 guys who each had a separate and distinct job/task. They worked together well, and worked efficiently. They came back the next morning for a few hours to finish the small details around the edges since my walls were not square. They had to trim slivers of hardwood to account for the walls not being square and you can't even tell. Even when you look really closely, they created these slivers of hardwood that were like really long triangles that fit the gaps. I have 2 other rooms that need the carpet ripped up and flooring put down and I will certainly call them when I have the funds to do those jobs.

My review is based on the idea that the difference between a ok job and a great job is the details. I can't say everything went perfectly, but I can say when there were small items these folks stepped up and took care of them. Everyone from our sales guy Drew to Kelly in the office was great throughout the entire process. The installer, Oscar and his crew were first class. The attention to detail was exactly what we hope for in a contractor. Oscar and his team moved a lot of very heavy furniture and put it back exactly the way it was before they started. They took obvious care to protect our things even in the middle of what looked like small planned disaster area. Everything was covered to protect it from the dust caused by pulling up all the old flooring. Unexpected things like installing felt pads on the legs of some of the furniture to protect the floors for the long terms are the kinds of details that separate an ok job from a great job. The quality of the workmanship is very good. The floors were installed over good quality padding. The floor boards are laid out to create a nice finished look. Even the miters on the molding are neat and tight with good finished corners. The guys did a nice job of cleaning up each day. They hauled off two or three van loads of old flooring and left our home neat and clean at the end of each workday. We are very happy with the new floors. We had a small punch list when the job was complete. Our sales guy, Drew was here the next day with Oscar. They looked at the couple of things we asked them about and promised to make it right. That's exactly what they did. If I had any suggestion on something to improve, I think the first day or two of communication around scheduling could have been better. We are very pleased with the job. I would recommend them to a friend and would certainly hire them again.

Expert installers on time, completed the work perfectly in 9 hours, cleaned up and left us smiling. Gave a $500 discount because of Angie's List referral.

The entire process was easy and went as smooth as can be. The most difficult part was selecting the carpet. They were always on time to discuss and demo the carpet. The actual installation went so smooth I really have nothing to say about it other then it was perfect. I almost did not know they came in the house and switched out the carpet. This is exactly as I wanted the job be done. Good work can almost be unnoticeable. In the end, all you are left with is a beautiful result.

An outstanding experience. Sale was straightforward, great counsel, many choices. Contracting happened in timely fashion, all transparent. Then I had a surprise home repair that required me to postpone the installation for longer than I would've liked, and Carolina In Home was unbelievably patient while I worked through that. Installation happened in a day. Team was efficient, nice, professional, for instance helping me move certain items I couldn't myself. Oscar and Jose were team leads; both were really great as were their teams. Office team also great to work with. Really, about the best experience with a contractor I've ever had. Wish I'd worked with them for an earlier project. Highly recommended.

Customer Service was amazing, selection was great. The convenience of having them come to your home can not be beat. 2 different crews came since I was receiving carpet and laminate floors. Both jobs completed in the same day and everything looks wonderful. Will use this company again

Showed up in the specified time window. A crew of 5 got my job done very quickly. Very easy to work with. Office staff were very responsive and stayed on top of the job. Recommended.

I was pleased with the outcome. They gave me an option to upgrade, but did not push it when I said we were selling the house. Real-estate agent advised against it, so we went with the basic grade. There were some unfortunate mishaps with installation. The installers put some gouges in a sofa bed that they dragged across the floor instead of carrying it, snagging it on screws that secured a threshold between the carpet and a tiled area. They opened a door too quickly, knocking out a patch that had just been placed in the drywall by another workman. They knocked two chunks out of a door jamb. They got white paint on the dining-room table, evidently by scraping it against something. The owner was reasonably attentive to the problems. He said that nothing like that had ever happened before. We settled for a discount on the installation price, since we were going to get rid of the sofa bed when we moved anyway.

The salesman, Drew Propes, arrived on time and was knowledgeable about the products. He provided samples of the products and took measurements. He informed us about the hardness rating of the laminate flooring, the warranty, the best way to protect the floor from scratches (by putting felt pads underneath furniture legs) and even the best way to clean the floor (Bona Floor Care System). The estimate we received was comparable to other estimates. Drew came back for a second visit so my wife could pick out the colors. He didn't mind the dogs, even when the puppy chewed up his sunglasses case! He responded quickly to any questions or concerns and Kelly at their office was very helpful getting the contract together and squared away. When the installation was finished we received a follow up card in the mail from Drew. They were very flexible with installation times and accommodated our request to have it done on a Saturday. The lead installer, Oscar, called the morning of and gave an accurate time of arrival. Oscar and his crew worked hard and got the entire house finished in no time. This was no easy task considering all the furniture that needed to be moved around since we were having the entire house done. Oscar is certainly an asset to the company and based on my discussion with Drew, he is the lead installer on all flooring projects. This is the guy you want installing your floor! I admit I'm a picky customer, especially when I spend a lot of money. When I did my inspection I found a couple areas where the shoe molding wasn't nailed or glued down properly. Sometimes the pieces didn't line up quite right and had to be filled in with wood putty. There were some spots where the nail didn't penetrate fully and resulted in a sharp piece protruding. When I called them and let them know, Oscar came back out and resolved all the issues to my satisfaction. They are definitely very prompt and customer service oriented. If you aren't happy, they will make it right. If I could offer some constructive advice, it would be to slow down a bit during the install and pay more attention to the details. I can tell this crew works and works hard, maybe too hard! There was a lot of prep work we had to do ahead of the install. Because we were doing the whole house, we had to get things off the floor, books off the shelves so they could be moved, items off desks, etc. It took several hours to get things ready and even longer to put it all back in place. On the bright side it gave us the opportunity to donate, sell, or trash a bunch of things we had stashed away that we never used. This is by no means criticism of Carolina In Home Flooring, because it is just the nature of the replacing your entire floor but it is something to keep in mind when you make the decision. There are also little things that you don't expect. For example the hanging blinds on the patio door are now too long (new floor is a bit higher than the old one). Easy fix, just had to raise the mounting bracket. Something else I didn't expect but makes sense is the dogs barking now sounds a lot louder (no carpet to dampen the noise) and of course the sound of their little paws running and sliding across the floor! All in all it was well worth the price and the hard work and these guys did a great job. The new floors look great and it is so much easier to keep the house clean. The amount of dirt that works its way into carpet is unbelievable. Laminate flooring was definitely a good replacement and we are very happy that we chose Carolina In Home Flooring to do the job!

This was the final part of a 3-part job done by Carolina In-Home Flooring. PART ONE- - 3- second floor bedroom carpets were thoroughly cleaned by Mike and Kelly PART TWO- carpet on stairwell and second floor hallway was removed and replaced with wood flooring. Carpet runner installed on the stairs. PART THREE- 3rd floor bonus room carpets were cleaned. All work was done in a professional and timely manner. Extra care was taken to avoid damages/ soiling by workers and equipment. All work areas/equipment/tools were cleaned and removed upon completion I highly recommend Carolina In-Home Flooring and Carpet Cleaning, and plan to use them myself again in the future when the need arises.

Very good experience from the beginning-Martha came to my house and brought carpet samples. She very quickly sent me an estimate, and the price was much better than other estimates I had been given. The installers were prompt, and had to disassemble a very large oriental bed. They worked nonstop, and were finished by 3:00. The company provided excellent customer service-following up with phone calls several times.

Mike Nelson came out to our home a couple weeks prior with the floor samples we requested, went over the details (very thorough), and set up the appt. They were to call prior to coming out, our window was from 8-10am. Oscar (foreman) did call and said he was running late, had some unfinished business from previous job....it would be another half-hour. We understood, that was okay, but then it got to be after 11am. So my husband called the office. Trust me, this is our only complaint! It's not really a complaint, just a suggestion to keep the customer better informed. Having said that...I can't say enough good things about the job that Oscar and his crew did! We had the Quickstep Quadra tile put down, love it! It has the look and feel of real tile, with out having to mess with grout lines. They do recommend using a special cleaner (Bona), but that is no big deal. Inexpensive, just spray it on and go over it with a micro-fiber mop...your done! Even after getting started later than planned, the guy's worked straight through till 8:30pm. All completed except for the molding that had to be stained to match the cabinets. No problem there either really, Oscar was back out here the next morning. Measured and had the pieces stained to our liking in no time!! Everyone we had to deal with at Carolina In Home Flooring is "A's" in my book, even Kelly in the office!! Thanks to all...and we'll have them do our hard wood flooring in the near future, no questions asked!

They were amazing. They were professional, they were done before they said they were going to be. They gave us an estimate of four days, they were done in two. They were in contact with us the entire way through because we actually moved out for a couple of days because we had a baby at the time. They were done before they said they were going to be and everything was exactly how they said. It was an "A" experience all the way.

I called Carolina In Home Flooring due to the number of good reviews from Angie's List. When I called to set up an appointment, I was able to get one right away. Martha was punctual, prepared with all the samples, professional, and gave honest feedback as I compared the different options. She was very quick with the estimates and answered my many questions. Once I made the selection, Martha worked with me on scheduling the hardwood floor installation (they had to wait until I was ready). The installer (Oscar) arrived as scheduled a few days ahead of the job to drop off the wood and inspect the areas. The crew arrived on time on the scheduled day. They were very careful when moving my furniture. They continually cleaned up as they worked in order to minimize the (inevitable) dust that flies around when old carpet/wood are pulled up and new floors are put down. They worked very well as a team ? this crew has definitely worked together many times before. They also had to replace a piece of subfloor that had been (water) damaged in the past. They did a nice job on the shoe molding. What was supposed to be a day-and-a-half job was finished in just one day! My floors are beautiful and I am very happy with the entire experience.

We are so impressed with the small town service, thorough review of options and excellent service. The company's communication was superb. We were informed about everything. Drew and Mike are top notch with wonderful experience. We have no complaints!

While I couldn't afford to have Mike install hardwood in my house, I felt that I couldn't afford not to have him handle the tile. I had four quotes and he was the only one to see the issues with the existing flooring that would then require a different installation. I was very impressed with the expertise that Mike shared with me that enabled me to make good decisions. The only thing that I do not love are the style of the transition piece between the new tile and the existing floor, but I never even thought to ask about them and I couldn't be at home with they installed the tile. They did a great job.

To start with I had to reshedule my original appointment, so Kelly at there office was very helpful and worked with me on the new appointment. The representative that came to my house Drew Propes did an excellent job in presenting different laminate options as well answering questions about matching existing hardwood we had. Oscar and his crew arrived on time, they remove the furniture in both rooms (living room and dining room). They started by removing the old carpet from both rooms and work quickly on the installation on the new flooring. The old carpet taken away as well as any left over trash, the crew made sure both rooms where left clean. The furniture was replace with great care, they even made sure the location of the furniture was where I wanted. Additional Oscar took the time to answer several questions my wife had about the caring for the new floor. Both my wife and I are very happy with the look and the installation of the new flooring.

Mr. Nelson gave us a lot of information during his sales visit. It took a while for us to choose a product (8 weeks) because of our renovation schedule but we chose Carolina In Home Flooring based on Mr. Nelson's product knowledge. He told us he would do us "a favor" and honor the price he gave us at the estimate. We chose a commercial grade laminate that Mr. Nelson recommended for durability in high traffic areas, including dogs. There were some measurement issues that could have been avoided and the floor was easily scratched--not as durable as we hoped and paid for. One factor in choosing the product was that Mr. Nelson said replacing damaged sections would be easy because the flooring company had a specialized tool available to easily remove certain areas without removing large sections of the floor. When I called him for a repair he told me yes, the tool was available but he didn't own one. So the repair wouldn't be easy after all. Instead of returning to our home to accurately estimate the repair, he made assumptions on what we needed which were incorrect. As a result, it took two more weeks to get the repair completed. The installation team was excellent. They were professional, efficient, and accurate. It was a pleasure to have them in my home and I was never concerned about being home alone with them in the house. Definitely the best part of the experience.
