Description of Work: The diagnosis was that if we just completely defrosted the freezer the ice maker would "heal itself." It did, but only for for a few weeks - then it froze up again. We have since relied on bags of ice. I will eventually call them back to do what they were supposed to do in the first place.

Well give us a call, we guarantee our work. Sometimes ice can buildup in the freezer (for whatever reason) and cause all kinds of problems. And sometimes a complete defrost is the best way to handle it. But there is as much art to appliance repair as science, especially when it comes to icemakers. [Member Name Removed] I can't find you on my calendar nor my accounting software. That tells me if we did come out we didn't charge you a cent. Now, if we did come out and declined the work it was because the job was not feasible for one reason or another. We don't like repairing worn out appliances, appliances that have a high failure rate regardless of how well they are repaired or very old appliances. We will if the customer insists but we make sure the customers knows their options. But for us to decline a job means either we were not qualified to do the job (for example cabinets needed cutting etc.) or the job was undoable period. So, in the interest of fairness just exactly what did we decline?

Description of Work: Several months ago I contacted Capital Appliance for a refrigerator repair. The repairman came and was unable to complete the repair. At the time I wrote a negative review. Greg, the owner of this company, called and he explained the problem. We resolved our issue and he asked me to remove the negative review. He said he would return the $80 fee when the review was removed. I removed the review and notified Greg. It has been weeks since I removed the review but I have not received the promised refund. I believe this showed bad faith and indicates a lack of honesty and professionalism.
