Description of Work: I looked the reviews before ordering through your site. When the workmen arrived, they went right to work. Within 15 minutes he comes to tell it will cost additional $274.00 for cleaning fan. The unit is not that old. Once I told him I couldn't afford it right now. He seemed upset with me and said he would be finished in another ten minutes. The reviews had said that the workman was great and that he was there for more than 2 hours. He did not complete all tasks on checklist I printed off from your website. I was very disappointed with his hurry to leave. I will not use this again. He mentioned that the service usually cost $139.00 and I got a great deal. If they are going to advertise they are doing the same service for $69.00, I shouldn't feel guilty for being upset because it wasn't the same.

Description of Work: A technician came out, said he knew it was the motor as soon as he looked at the unit. He checked the motor, not the voltage or anything else. He said he would call me with the estimate the next day, which he did, citing that the motor in my unit was one of the most expensive. I'm so glad I got a second opinion, because a technician checked my breaker box, which had melted inside. |The first thing he checked was voltage, and he was correct. The technician from Cape Fear told me he was on his way home when he received the call, so most likely wanting to go home. Needless to say, my repair was way less than the estimate from Cape Fear. |I feel the $79.00 service fee was a waste of money.

He recharged the system, checked the electrical components, pressure readings and thoroughly cleaned the coils. Probably the best service I have received for my system. CFAC&H was prompt and the service person presented their credentials as they were introducing themselves. The service person was thorough as well as professional. As important the service person was courteous and kept me fully aware of what the issues were with my AC. I would definitely recommend CFAC&H.
