David did a great job with the install. He was professional, detailed oriented, and very accommodating to our requests. It's great to have a cabinet co go a great job at a fair price.

We had a great experience with David! I have no idea what the previous poster's problem is, but it's very rare to find someone as professional, friendly, and accommodating as David for a remodel. He installed new cabinets for us in February of 2012. A number of little issues came up because we were keeping the existing backsplash and granite. He came up with great suggestions to solve the problems and implemented them promptly and and courteously. When we noticed a small change that we wanted to make to the cabinets (AFTER he had already packed up his tools and left), he came back the very next day to help us. Keep in mind that this was on a SATURDAY. We got a return call within an hour on a Saturday morning, and he came out within a couple of hours after that. I was really amazed by that level of dedication. We've had mediocre experiences with contractors in the past, so we were thrilled to find David and will use him again whenever we need woodworking. I really can't recommend him highly enough. Please ignore the first review on this site--it is the exact opposite of the very positive experience that we had. One of the problems with a site like Angie's list is that people with grievances that may have been completely out of the control of the service provider have a chance to ruin his good name.

Most communication was via email, which simplified things and made it easier for passing photos. Scheduling a particular day for installation (working around other contractors) was simple. David and his coworker were courteous and pleasant and finished the install with no problems. I am very pleased. I showed David some future work I am considering and he was able to offer me a few new ideas. I expect to be using him again.
Description of Work: I needed a 7 foot vanity for remodeling a bathroom. David was able to offer me a couple choices in my price range, with different styles and finish. The old vanity had been force fit to the plumbing, but the new vanity was designed to fit the plumbing.

We wanted a permanent island installed in our kitchen but had a space limitation that required us to purchase 2 base bathroom/vanity cabinets. David built two drawers to convert the false drawer fronts into functional drawers. I was impressed with the quality of his craftsmanship, the attention to detail & quality components he used. David Reyna has been nothing but a true professional. I will not hesitate to call him again for future projects. My experience with Cabinics Custom Cabinets was nothing but simple & seamless.

Looking for high quality custom cabinets in Raleigh? Want your job done right, done on time, and done by a professional? I can tell you who not to use. I can tell you without question who to stay as far away from as possible: David Reyna and Cabinics Custom Cabinets. The guy is anything but professional. His work is passable, when he does it, but so far on my job he's more than 4 months late. You read that right, 4 months. He's got excuses for it, and how it's not really his fault, but I'm no longer buying them. But it's not just that he's so late. It's that he's unprofessional and untrustworthy. He showed up in my house the first of January apologetic and sounding sincere for the delays, and promised me he'd have the rest of my cabinets done "within 2 weeks." He also promised that he'd have the shelves for the cabinets he had delivered (but cut to the wrong sizes) fixed and returned right away. It was February before we saw the shelves, and when they finally showed up they were still wrong. Some of them still didn't fit, and had to be re-worked again (not by him this time. The last thing I was going to do was to send them back into the black hole of his shop). So here we are at almost the first of April, and still no delivery on the cabinets he promised me in January. Still missing 2 sets of cabinet doors that he failed to order with the rest, and no delivery date set. So I finally bypassed my wonderful contractor and called him directly (since he'd come to my house and asked me for patience and seemed sincere). That's when his true nature came out. "I did this job as a favor." And "you'll get your cabinets when you get them. If you get them." Then "I've got other jobs. I'll get to yours when I get to it." were his responses. Seriously? Is that a professional response? Hardly. "I'm already losing money on this job, so I'll get to it when I get to it." Right. As if his financial problems are mine. As if his failure to deliver on his promises is now my fault? I don't think so. As I said, if you're looking for high quality, professionally done custom cabinets, don't use him. I've worked with lots of contractors and their subs. This is not one you want to work with. This is not one you want working on or in your house. I'm happy to give recommendations for professionals. For people who do quality work and stand behind their work. For people who deliver what they say they will deliver when they say they will deliver it. But this guy is not on any of those lists.
