Blanton's Air, Plumbing & Electric

My blower motor on my AC went out August 9, 2013. I checked Angie's List for highly rated heating and air companies in Fayetteville, N.C. Blanton's was one of the first companies on the list. I called Blanton's Friday morning to see if a technician could come to my house. Tanya, the office dispatch, told me all technicians were booked for Friday but she had her technicians ask any customers with routine maintenance whether or not they would reschedule in order to free up a slot for me. Tanya also went ahead to schedule me for a Monday appointment in case no customers would reschedule their routine maintenance. I want to point out that I also called other companies in the area, and those other companies did not offer to check whether their technicians could reschedule their routine maintenance customers in order to put me on their schedule. One of Blanton's technicians John was able to reschedule a customer and come to my house and check the AC unit. John did all the necessary tests and found that the blower motor was bad. He gave the name and serial number of the motor to Tanya so she could search for the availability of the part. Tanya searched very extensively for the availability of this motor and discovered there was anywhere from a two to three week wait on the replacement part. I was also given the option to replace the motor with another brand. I chose to replace the motor with another brand because last summer I waited two weeks to resolve the same problem. This is a variable speed motor and apparently there are quality control issues with this model. I was originally scheduled for Monday but decided to call the office for after hours service today August 10, 2013. John scheduled me for a 2 to 4 o'clock time frame. He finished earlier with other customers and actually showed up early to my house. John went ahead and installed the new blower motor. He also had to install a new 12.5 capacitor and relay. I also asked John to install a surge protector on my unit. I once had a thunderstorm take out an older unit. I believe the time the labor took was at most an hour and a half. John did all the necessary tests on the unit to make sure that it was operating properly. He also checked for proper freon levels. John is an excellent technician. He is very courteous and professional. He spoke to me in a very pleasant manner, and I really felt as a customer I was important to him. As I'm typing this review my house is cooling down and I'm feeling much better than I was feeling yesterday. Blanton's is a heating and air company that really values its customers. I feel the company's staff really takes pride in customer service and does not take for granted the business they get from people in the surrounding area. I really believe Tanya made me a priority customer Friday because of the nature of my problem. I honestly felt that I was pushed to the front of the line in order to take care of my problem. Tanya called me about three times Friday to keep me posted about the availability of the motor and what other options I could take. I am a first time customer and I received A+ treatment. Blanton's pricing is right within the range of the market. All of your reputable companies are going to be in the same ballpark concerning costs of parts and labor. I use to use an independent guy to do my heating and air and I can tell you that Blanton's pricing is in the same range as his costs. The advantages of choosing Blanton's over the independent guy are you can use a credit card if you don't have cash on hand or in your bank account for check writing and you get a technician out to your house much quicker than the independent guy I use to use because he is just overbooked for a one man operation. It is customary that people get three or four quotes when searching for contractors. I highly recommend that Blanton's be one of those companies you consult with. I believe their customer service is top notch. The technician who did work at my house was very skilled in his field of work. The pricing is not gonna be some bottom of the barrel quote, but you will get a fair market price on the parts and labor. I can say in closing that I would not hesitate at all in recommending Blanton's for your heating and air services.

Everything went great! They took the time to explain to me what had broken and gave me an immediate quote for repairs (no surprise costs!). After the repair he noticed the freon was low and was able to top it up. It's not a fix but hopefully the leak is slow enough that we won't have to fix it immediately. They were extremely professional and prompt. And the best part, great service! Highly recommended!

They are very pleasant. They were quick. They installed it very quickly and they didn't leave any trash. They have pleasant people. They left and you couldn't tell they were there.

Good. Not much to report. They had to replace one capacitor in one of the units and that was about it. Units were and are still working fine. I was pleased with what they did and how they did it. P. S. There is no Eutaw, NC. I live in Fayetteville, NC 28303.

Everything was wonderful. We homeschool so the technicians worked around us quietly and kept everything neat and clean. They even allowed themselves to be nerf gun targets! System is still working great, the communication was wonderful, and we HIGHLY recommend them over anyone else in and around Faytteville. From the initial consultation to the last goodbye, we have never felt more comfortable having someone else do this work for us, and we like to do everything ourselves, usually!

The installation occurred over 2 phases. At each phase, the technicians were courteous and professional. We couldn't be more please with the HVAC units we purchased or the professional service we received from Blanton's staff and crew.

Competitive pricing,.Very professional and organized. Was onsite early and completed job in one day. The crew was courteous, efficient and worked well as a team to complete job. In addition, the company provided us with a portable AC for use since our unit had stopped. The Crew was mindful of cleaning up during and after job. Most definitely would recommend this company!

All service technicians called ahead of time to confirm and to state they were in route. All were on time, courteous and professional. The salesman did a thorough work-up before he presented 4 options, rather than assuming the current unit was appropriately sized. I could pick and chose among the various options. Installation was scheduled on the 2nd business day and went smoothly. The installers picked up after themselves. The salesman returned 3 days after installation to go over rebates, tax credits, answer questions and to pick up the remaining half of bill. I paid by cash and received a 3% credit. I am entirely satisfied with my new unit and with Blanton's.

They are local and it's a family owned business. They're pretty responsive to long-term customers.

The outside heating/cooling unit was thickly iced over - the person on the phone said to turn off the unit and they would be there first thing the next morning. The next morning, the repairman arrived on time and found the problem right away. He refilled the freon, which was very low and then he answered a bunch of questions. Very friendly and helpful!

They came back today and they will back again tomorrow. We have a maintenance agreement with them, which is about $500 a year for two systems that we have. I don’t know exactly what we are paying for this service. Their official house call rate is $79. They are friendly and they know what they are doing. They are reliable that is why I call them. I didn’t really compare prices with anybody.

Our air conditioning died at a very bad time and Blanton's was able to get to us fairly quickly and provided excellent and professional service. We have used them for years for all of our heating and AC needs and the service and professionalism is always excellent. We will not use anyone else.

They were so awesome! The receptionist was extremely polite and efficient. Our repair man, Laxavier could not have been nicer and more professional. He made sure that we had set everything up correctly on the Nest and then checked our units. Turns out, it just needed more freon. I have used another heating and air guy in the past and I can say that Blanton's easily saved me over $100. Laxavier was here for 2 hours (even came an hour before my appointment time!) and everything is perfect! I really cannot say enough good things about this company. They made the whole process less stressful and at least for me, less costly.

A couple months before our unit broke we gathered estimates from different companies together, to see what a new unit would be. Blanton Heating & Air response was quick, fair and professional. Unlike other companies in our area. So when the time came and the unit broke, we knew we wanted to go with them. A quick call and and the Representative was back, we went over everything again and bought the unit. He explained everything to us, walked us through the process of what would be done and is needed to make the switch. I don't feel that he sold us anything or tried to talk us into anything that was not necessary , for which i am grateful. On the day of installation, they came on time and started right away. We had multiple people here at once, but i can't complain about noise, damages or trash while they worked. After a couple of hours they were done and cleaned up. You couldn't tell work had been done. LOVE IT!!!! He showed me how to us my new unit, on what i have to pay attention, etc. Overall very pleasant, and we are going to us them again on our other unit upstairs!!!

They are very prompt. If they were running behind they would give me a call. They didn't try to over-sell anything. They got everything done quickly and efficiently. They cleaned up after themselves very well.

This company was awesome! I called them because of the reviews I read on Angie's List. The receptionist was very nice, the person who takes the information and schedules things was busy, so the receptionist took my information and gave me an estimated time frame for the same day and explained the service call fee. An hour later the repair guy called and said he was on his way. I told him the house wasn't getting heated like it should, no air was coming through the vents, and there was a burnt electrical smell. He got under the house and in a few minutes came back out and told me the capacitor was bad, the fan was fine, and the smell was from it trying to push the air and not being able to. He told me how much it would cost to replace the part, then replaced it. He checked the temp coming from the vents and explained how everything was working fine now. He also explained that the problem we were having may lead to the motor going out sooner. He also explained their maintenance program and gave me a brochure with products they offered. He was not pushy, very pleasant and informative. From the time I called to the time everything was working again was only two and a half hours. I'm so thankful. ,

When I called them, they came out pretty quick. They did a great job. They are awesome and they did very good. Their service agreement allowed me to get my heater fixed on Christmas day with no charges to me.

We spent about $7800 for their services. The workmen were very friendly and helpful. They were on time as well. They were not the cheapest, but they did an awesome job.

I cannot say enough of how well this company treated me! I had another company scam me, and Blanton's came to save the day. They installed a brand new unit that has been working wonderfully. The customer sevrice was phenominal. I could really go on and on. They are so worth the price and knowing that I won't have to worry about a thing for the next 10 years takes a load off my mind. Thank you Blanton's!!!

They were very helpful and fixed the problem for us for a while. They did not attempt to repair the leak. They gave us a quote for about $4000 to change the unit because the one that we have is an old model. We didn't have them do the work because it was more than what we wanted to spend. They were very professional and very knowledgeable. They knew exactly what needed to be done. They didn't try to sell us the most expensive unit but gave us other options. They wanted to help us and they gave us the other option of just adding a little Freon. They weren't pushy and that was reassuring. They came out fairly quickly. They were very professional. We would have gone with them if we had the money. They were very good.

I've never seen it but as far as I know it went great. I haven't heard any complaints. I haven't needed to call them back. They completed the job on time.

He was 20 minutes late, but called me 15 minutes prior to the appointment to let me know. They explianed everything they did. My last company that I had a service agreement with went out ot business, so I signed up with them. No pressure from them to do so.
