They were very efficient and completed the work in a timely manner. They cleaned up after themselves. It was worth every penny that I spent.

They are really professional. He came right away and the estimate came when he said it would.

They had a good rating on Angie's List. I thought they did a good job. They showed up on time. They did good work. The pad cracked within a year. I showed them, and they referenced their warranty. Their warranty is written in such a manner that it covers nothing. It's not a large crack. He didn't compact the material underneath the crack. I called them back, and the salesman came. He didn't understand what the problem was. There was no action.

They are probably the best in the area.

The salesman that came out was really good. I really had problems with the crew that came out. The cement started cracking and they had to come out and did it over in spots. It is cracking again now and the pricing was high so I am not that pleased. They were on time when they came out. I would not recommend them to anyone else.

The representative arrived on time and had already taken the measurements before he rang my front door. We discussed the probloem and he answered all of my questions. The proposal was sent within 24 hours of the on-site visit and was very, very fairly priced. I haven't decided whether to go ahead with the repair, but if/when I do, it will certainly be with Blalock. Carol J. Barbieri

Overall, the service was good. We did not get any other quotes. I'm not sure about the price but it seemed kind of expensive for what they were doing in my opinion but my husband was good with it. They were very punctual and we chose them because they were on Angie's List and had a really good rating.

Work was done over two days with minimal disruption to home owners daily routine. There was minimal damage to landscaping and site was left clean.

I did not use them as their price was out of range. The gentleman that came to give the estimate was very kind. He did give me suggestions for my other part of the driveway which was helpful. He was very pleasant and the estimate came through as he promised. The only problem I had was the cost of the work.

My experience was seamless, easy and the did an incredible job. I called them a couple of months ago and told them I wanted a black concrete driveway (Asphalt has a tendency to melt in the NC sun). I was quoted a price of $10,960.00. They began work on 5/24/11 and it took them 2 days to complete my driveway. The driveway looks incredible...the black concrete was a good decision.... They did a perfect job from beginning to end.

Blalock offered an Angies Big Deal to seal asphalt driveways. The deal involved cleaning the driveway and seal coating a specific square footage. The cost for additional square footage was clearly stated in the ad. When I contacted the office I was connected with the estimator local to Chapel Hill. He was available to come by and provide an estimate later the same morning. The proposal for work was emailed to me the following day. The estimator offered to provide options and costs associated with the original simple seal job, as well as for two other options to deal with an area of the driveway that has more serious disintegration issues. We decided this year to only seal, and will address the repair work in the future. When I returned the accepted proposal, the work was scheduled at the end of the week. The crew arrived at the scheduled time to do the work. The senior man appeared very experienced and ensured the two other crew members were doing their work to his satisfaction. He was very pleasant and it seemed important to him they did a good job. They blocked the driveway and gave me instructions for how long before it saw any traffic. The only issue I had involved the original quoted price. It appeared the estimator was not familiar with the Angies List Big Deal, as he quoted the normal work fee. When I made him aware of the pricing in the Deal, he contacted Phil Cervi and they immediately returned a quote that was in accord with the terms of the Deal. I do not believe this was anything other than incomplete communication about the Deal within their office. Based on the response of the receptionist when I called, it is entirely possible that I was the first person to contact them to schedule work based on the Deal. All of my communications with them were clear and very timely. I found them a good company to work with. My husband's comment was that the final job looked to be superior to the last seal we had performed by another company. He felt the depth of sealer applied and the method used to apply it were much better than the other company. So ... we're very happy with the work and the Big Deal pricing! We'll definitely schedule our future repair work with Blalock.

Used a different company that did the job for less than half Blalock's estimate.

The work was done well and they were able to work with the city for permissions quickly. However, after city gave permission, it took a long time to get on their schedule and they did not always communicate delays. However, the work, workmen, and supervisors did it quickly and precisely once they started.

They had to take out the concrete and take out the tree roots and put the concrete back. They did a good job and were here on time when they said they would be here. They also cleaned up nicely after themselves. I would use them again.

I know that they do good work but I haven?t had any direct contact with them. The quote was a little bit higher than what we were looking for. It involved a lot of concrete and a lot of work along with a lot of time. I knew that it was going to cost more than what we wanted to pay at that time. I was aware that they were highly thought of in the paving business both for asphalt and concrete. So I decided to call them for a quote. The sales representative who came out was very pleasant and looked at what we had. He then gave me the quote within a week like he said he was going to. I would highly recommend them to other people and there is no question about that.

They did a great job, they were on time and did the price they quoted. Our driveway is long and the gravel had eroded from years of wear and tear. I was concerned about getting the grading and water drainage corrected. They graded the driveway perfectly and laid a nice thick layer of stone before putting down the asphalt. The driveway is nice and smooth and drainage works great.

They were fine. They were very responsive and did a thorough job of checking out what we needed. They gave us a quote in a reasonable amount of time. We did not end up going with them.

They did what I asked and sent me an email with the estimate.

Blalock's did a great job turning my long gravel driveway into a smooth asphalt drive. They worked fast, cleaned up the area afterwards, came back to reseal 8 months later (for an additional cost) and were very professional. I would definitely use them again.

The only reason we went with someone else is because Blalock did not offer all of the services that we needed. I was very tempted to go with Blalock because I felt the employee was very professional and his quote was well defined. It was itemized so that is showed how he would do each thing. The two quotes were almost identical.

Blalock did what they said they would do in there quote when they said they would do it for the price quoted. They were professional and the quality of the work was excellent. I would not hesitate to use them again for any concrete work.

They did the work exactly as promised and the bill was exactly as they had estimated. The driveway is perfect without a single crack in it. The tree roots have not affected the new driveway at all, and we couldn?t be happier. The asphalt repairs I have observed in my neighborhood have all looked great as well, and they are just a good company
