It was actually pretty good. I was happy and would use them again.

Everything was great. They were very efficient and they did a good job. The boss was there all the time supervising, and we would use them again.

They did everything I asked for them to do. When they finished the work, they cleaned up very well. I couldn't find any fault with them whatsoever and the work they did is still in good shape. If I ever need concrete work done in the future, I'll use them.

It worked out very well, I have no complaints whatsoever. I would use them again.

I contacted the company in early October, 2008. When the representative arrived on October 14, I indicated that I wanted to improve the appearance and function of my concrete driveway by replacing the most damaged and unattractive sections. He and I examined the drive, and he recommended those areas that most needed replacing. At no time did we discuss replacing the entire drive. Within a few days I received an estimate. I immediately signed the contract, and I requested that the job be done right away before freezing weather might become a problem. The work was delayed until November 24. I was told this was a result of illness on the part of a key employee. While the workers were replacing the damaged sections, their equipment cracked and destroyed a large previously sound section. I insisted, and they agreed to replace the section they had destroyed. After the workers left, I discovered that the heavy concrete truck had parked on another section and created extensive cracks in a section that was not to be replaced. I called and requested that someone come and examine this additional damage. Meanwhile, when workers came to remove the forms and plastic covers, they tracked red mud foot prints all over my drive. This unsightly mess remains even today. The representative who came out was argumentative saying that the damage was already there, and that he had given me an estimate on repaving the entire drive. This is not the case. He also made unprofessional remarks. For example, he said, "You probably stayed up all night worrying about it..." I contacted the owner, who was more professional. The owner acknowledged in a letter that the company may have caused new cracks in the drive, but stated that their contract absolved them of liability. He refused to negotiate with me on finding a solution.

He was very nice, but their estimate for my driveway was around $10,000, while other companies gave me estimates that were half that price. He seemed very honest, and if I had a lot of money, I would probably use him, but it is far out of my price range.

Blalock completed the job to our satisfaction. They were very careful not to tear-up the grass next to the area and they left the area very neat looking. They were very responsive in meeting my specific requests to get the area as level and flat as possible since we would be parking a motor home there. I would definitely recommend them for this type of work.

Estimator arrived as scheduled. Written estimate arrived a few days later. Upon acceptance work was scheduled within a week and started on time. Crew was professional and performed the task well except for the placement of excess concrete by the workers and concrete delivery man. After mentioning the excess concrete it was removed. Driveway was scored and expansion joints installed to provide for future expansion and contraction. Lack of backfill and the drying out of sod removed to install forms, left wide spaces at edge of driveway. I had to obtain top soil and sod to accommodate these spaces.

The driveway looks good, but I was bit upset that when they were installing the driveway, they ended up cutting the cable for our Internet. We had to send them home, get the Internet fixed, and then call them back. They did still finish the job in 3 days.
