Went as planned. Car was ready on time. Work looked good. They called me to ask timely questions during the repair and when the work was complete.

Work is excellent. Can't tell it was done. Match is very close. Work was done on time and price was fair.

1. First visit and top installation seemed to go very well. Very nice staff. 2. Instructed to not put top down for 3 weeks - I complied 3. Dropped top for first time and when I put the top up I noticed 2 small punctures through the top just behind drivers window. 4. Called Auto Tops and Interiors the next day and sent photos 5. Was told to bring it back to them - OK 60 miles drive back to shop 6. Punctures reviewed - no comment yet on why or what happened 7. I called them back a couple of days later and was told that they found 2 offending screws that caused damage, but they did not know why since they used the OEM screws 8. I called back a day or two later and was told the owner authorized replacing the top for half price. (I had just paid almost $1,600) I said No that this issue was a workmanship issue even if you used the original screws that as professionals the shop should have noticed, or found, or tested the installation for sharp objects. 9. 2 days later I called and was told they would replace for free. 10. All in all, the shop is professional acting and I think they desire to do fine work, but telling me that I would have to pay half the cost of a new top when I had just paid them to do what they are professionals at doing was not right. 11. Oh, and a month later my drivers window is rubbing hard against the corner of the new top - I think the installation should have included adjusting the window, or making sure the top and window did not have contact - which will end up destroying the top fabric and the contact point in the future with repeated contact.

Everything went as planned. The seat cover colors were as ordered and matched the colors I chose. The expected order and shipment of the seat covers was two weeks and they were delivered on time. The covers were installed in a very professional manner and I was very pleased with the workmanship. I delivered the car at 8:00AM on a Tuesday and the car was ready on Wednesday ay 3:30PM, as expected. I inspected the car for any defects and found none. I would have preferred to do a walkthrough with the original salesperson but he was not in the office. Nevertheless, I was satisfied with the work. I thought the cost was steep but the results were worth it. The location is two blocks from downtown Raleigh, NC so good traffic planning is required to get in and out of the city without too many traffic problems.

The estimate was very expansive I thought, but it seems there is only one other similar shop in the Raleigh area that is about 40 miles away. I felt assured i would get the car back with the top replaced, looking good and functioning properly. When I picked up the car at the end of the day before a holiday weekend, the person I spoke too was unconcerned that my truck had not been reassembled after the work, there was insulation from the old top sticking out of the new top, that the top compartment did not close poroperly and that a broken mechanical part (a cable compartment cover) I had provided at the time of the estimate was not replaced. Within two months of the work several repaired parts such at the header were coming apart. I worked with the owner to have many of these problems fixed but come away unsatisfied that a number of questions, including the aforementioned item, suddenly became "extra" if I wanted them fixed. Not being an expert on convertable tops I would have expected the estimator to clearly define what was not included in the extimate. Overall it was a time consuming and frustrating experience that will prevent me from recommending this company or using them again.
