Description of Work: No work was performed, but a quote was provided and numerous friendly emails were exchanged leading up to a decision to use another company. The initial meeting went well, and their quoted price was consistent with other companies. We've used ARS for HVAC servicing for years, but took the opportunity to give someone else this business.

Description of Work: I was told that my ac unit had been leaking because there was some rust. They sent an estimator who gave me an estimate of about $7,000 and wanted me to let them start work the next day. The man was very pushy and nearly insisted I let them get right to work. I got two other estimates and both said the system has a couple of years left on it, but to watch it for leaks. They both said the rust was most likely due to a little condensation instead of a leak.

Description of Work: Got proposal from 3 companies. They promised the "very best" of service and equipment. Not so. Unit was put in and didn't work right from the very first day. Found out from one of their own technicians that this problem is well known to them. They did not stock the part that fails the most. They NEVER should have put this unit in at all, but being the week before X-mas when everyone was going on vacation was not right. I tried to call their customer service person, who all of their people tout as "wonderful". She never returned any one of my calls. With service like this, I'm sure that she is quite busy. Have not recommended ARS to my friends and probably will not. Terrible service. We now keep the thermostat at 76 degrees, which is way higher than the old system. Can't wait to see my electric bill. Don't use these people for a new system.

Description of Work: ARS replaced a complete HVAC system that had given us nothing but trouble for 5 years in a new townhouse. As part of the installation, they checked every inch of the original ductwork, finding and correcting several hidden mistakes. The new system has been completely satisfactory for several years. You can count on them.

Description of Work: I want to begin by saying if you need service DO NOT USE ARS Resuce Rounter! Do yourself a favor -read and believe the negative reviews that are posted on line about this company. I only wish I had --- instead of allowing them to perform services they were clearly unqualified to do! Thank you Angies List for giving customers a place to share their concerns - as the company does not want to hear your concerns....nor will they respond to them. Last December (2014), they sent two totally inexperienced techs to respond to a water problem I was having. When they couldn't find the problem inside....they assumed it was in the well. So they attempted to pull the pump from the well but accidentally dropped it to the bottom of well. The response I got from ARS was crazy...."they weren't responsible" and they only thing they could do was pull a hose from my neighbors house for me to get water.....(get this'''') until I could call a real WELL COMPANY to come fix the problem....because they didn't have that type of equipment! They didn't nothing to fix the problem and the response from their office was absolutely unbelievable. Could never get anyone to call me ----but later got a call from a woman with a heavy accent.....that took two weeks to decipher! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! As one of the tech's declared..."at least you don't have to pay for the service call!"

Description of Work: They were going to flush out the water heater but it had never been maintained by previous owners, was in bad shape so we got a new hot water heater. So far, so good!

Description of Work: Installed UV air sanitizer in air handler. It was a quick install. No problems, so far. At this point I am unable to tell a difference so cannot make a judgement.

Description of Work: Replaced two outside faucets, pressure regulator and household cut-off valve. The plumber was professional, courteous and arrived at appointment time. The work took less time than I expected and I was very pleased with the results.

Description of Work: We noticed a pipe leaking in a wall on a Sunday evening. There are not a lot of options for plumbing emergencies late on a Sunday, but luckily ARS provides 24 hour service. They aren't the cheapest, especially with the $149 service charge just to show up outside of regular business hours. The plumber arrived as promised, fixed the leak and an additional urgent issue that was noticed during their work. For after hours work I would definitely use them again. The extra cost is worth it when your alternatives are either letting water leak longer or going with no water until a plumber can come.

Description of Work: Through a special offer, ARS preformed water heater maintenance and inside plumbing inspection. Service person arrived on time. He was professional and friendly. He provided specifics about his findings on the water heater as he performed the maintenance. When finished, he did the plumbing inspection and reviewed his finds with us. I would use them again.

Description of Work: Had a couple of small repairs needed around the house. They took care of them, but frankly, I'm not sure if I got my full money's worth of the Angie's List deal. Have used ARS before and they're generally good to work with.
