Description of Work: Repaired a broken water main. Destroyed my driveway, plants, trees and lawn in the process. Cost me an additional $3000 to repair driveway

Description of Work: I was washing clothes and sewage came up from every pipe and they repaired the issues. The technicians were nice and polite.

Description of Work: They installed a mini-split (a type of heat pump) in my woodworking studio.

Description of Work: ARS installed my 2 Trane AC/furnace 3 yrs ago and I have had them back twice a year for maintenance. Always polite, honest, knowledgeable and thorough with their work. Would not trust anyone else to keep my systems tuned.

Description of Work: They performed the inspections as advertised. I got conflicting information about applying the inspection price to a twice a year service cost. Had I know I could do that with my first units, I would have taken the deal. I had 3 rental units that I would have converted. I notified the office manager of the missed opportunity and am working with them to see if I could still make that happen.

Description of Work: Replaced old cast iron drain in bathroom. Did not pass city inspection the first time. They had to come back and redo it before it passed. | |Tub faucet mysteriously developed a huge leak while They were here. Supposedly they hadn't fixed or touched that part of plumbing. They offered to fix it for $600 more. No deal. | |The company asked me to sign contract after first job didn't pass inspection. I refused, so noted on other side $0 & warranty.

Description of Work: Installed a new Gas Pack Heating and Cooling system. They did a good job, they were quick, did the job the next day after I got the estimate and beat the next lowest estimate by $400

Description of Work: We have used ARS for both HVAC and plumbing services for about 5-6 years and had an overall great experience with their professionalism in both scheduling and in the workers who have arrived on site in a timely fashion or if not, they communicated the need for any delay promptly and respectfully. They have backed up their work in minor instances when the problem was not resolved with the initial visit and performed regular maintenance on HVAC systems recommending upgrades that have aided with energy savings.

Description of Work: We had a new very efficient heat pump installed by ARS in Spring 2014. The experience was good and I wrote a favorable review at that time. The heat pump performed very well in summer 2014 but in the winter of 2014-15 it was clear that we were using way too much electricity. The evidence was from the fact that the auxiliary mode was on almost all the time and the customer usage reports that Duke Energy sends. The unit was still under one year warranty and ARS sent a technician to check it. He couldn't find anything and the problem persisted. A second technician came out and he couldn't find anything. He said he would arrange for a field supervisor to come out but he never did. Finally, after I made a number of phone calls a field supervisor did come out and made changes to the system setup and said that it should be OK now. However, because by this time (April) the heating season was basically over we really won't know if the problem has been fixed until the heating season starts again. On the positive side the techs are punctual and professional and the heat pump is a good one so I would continue to use ARS for HVAC. My sense, however, is that they are very high priced. For a while we were also using ARS for plumbing problems but we won't be calling them for plumbing any longer.

Description of Work: They ALWAYS find something that NEEDS to be done in addition to fixing the problem. I fell for it one time too many. I call them because they come promptly and are on time. I have learned to say no to the extras.

Description of Work: They forgot to knock out plug in new garbage disposal, so the dishwasher would not drain. They told me that I needed a repairman for my dishwasher...as it would not drain. Thank goodness I talked to a neighbor, told him about new garbage disposal being installed, and dishwasher would not drain. He immediately told me to make sure they knocked out plug in garbage disposal. I called ARS, spoke to the two technicians, they admitted that they forgot to do that. Unacceptable!
