They were fantastic. They were punctual. Their price was in range of other companies. The salesman was friendly.

Both new toilets are working fine; both bathrooms were left clean; also did complementary check and answered question about plumbing in the rest of the house.

The installation took approximatley 30 minutes. No issues.

ARS / Rescue Rooter Raleigh are professional and very knowledgeable. They work together as a big crew. They did a good job. They had their work coordinated and they had their timing down. It was good.

The company was amazing. I received a call to schedule an appointment the same day I purchased the deal. The technician that came to my home to install the toilet was extremely professional and very nice to work with. I would highly recommend this company.

Part 1 - I purchased the Big Deal from ARS-Rescue Rooter in Raleigh, $99.00 for $200.00 worth of plumbing work. While I was mostly pleased with the company, they were organized, professional and good to work with, I don't think the big deal was worth it. I also came to question the prices -- see part 2. This was an open ended Big Deal. It was not a fixed price for a fixed amount of work (like the big deal for window washing that I purchased previously). And I had no idea how much the going rates were for plumbing work. I thought $200 would cover the little stuff. I should have called around to get estimates of what I wanted done BEFORE I even bought the Big Deal. I will not buy an open ended Big Deal again without estimates first. This was my fault. Part 2 - Prices - I paid $99.00 for $200.00 of work but I was not warned about the $69.00 Diagnostic Charge. So all I really hadl left was $131.00. Once on site, I was quoted a price of $234.00 for "rebuilding" a leaky faucet. When asked if it would be cheaper if I just purchased a new one for the plumber to install, I was quoted a HIGHER price. I declined the leaky faucet fix but the plumber did try to tighten the lever to stop the leak. During the inspection of the water heater, the plumber found a defective expansion tank, which cost me $270.00 to replace. I later found out that a steel expansion tank costs $41.00 at Home Depot. I also had him flush the 50 gal. water heater for $89.00. So my Big Deal of $99.00 for $200 of work actually cost me a total of $99 + $225 =$324.00. Three weeks later, I discovered water dripping from the hot water tank. I called ARS to come and determine if the work they did caused the leak. We agreed that their work did not cause the leak but was due to corrosion on my 12 year old direct vent 50 gal. water heater. Even so, the technician did not charge me for the trip. I asked for an estimate for an exact replacement including necessary code work, $2990. I asked about installing a Tankless Water heater and was given a price of $4,000 - $4,400.00. I responded that I needed to get other estimates. I called the gas company, PSNC and received a quote of $2003.00+tax for a direct vent 50 gal. water heater and $3174.00 for a Rinnai Tankless water heater (including all necessary building code work). Needless to say, I will be going with the lower quotes.

The first two appointments were cancelled, once due to t storms, but otherwise it went very well. Techncian spent almost 3 hours cleaning and servicing my equipment.

ARS / Rescue Rooter Raleigh got out here fairly quickly and did what they were supposed to. It was a little more expensive than I originally thought but the service was fine.

The person who came out today – who I should have received yesterday – came out today and gave me an estimate of 3,000 dollars for a dehumidifier in my crawlspace. I asked him to give me the 5% coupon that they are offering Angie’s List members, and after calling to ask his supervisor, he let me know that they would not be able to offer that discount. I find this incredibly unprofessional and I was extremely frustrated by their behavior. I even let them know that I would likely be offering a negative review based on my experience, and they didn't seem fazed by that.

They were very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. It was expensive, but all-in-all it was probabably worth the price.

I called ARS because my AC had been out for several days and the service I had been using lately was taking a long time to do anything about it. ARS installed the Carrier heat pump for me years ago when they were called Tillman, and I have been delighted with its performance and my electric bills are consistently low. Their maintenance and repair service was very good but I hate the way their office books service calls so much, I have tried other providers over the years. This last time was a good example. I talked to a nice, professional man named Bill who was very familiar with my system and the parts it needed, and told me he would explain it to the appointment makers so they could call me and set up a service call. I didn't hear from them (because I was at work and they called my home number), so after a couple of hours I called and Debbie made my day by saying they'd be there the next morning at 8:00. At 8:30 the next morning I called to make sure i really did have an 8:00 appointment and Debbie said actually my appointment was for 8-10 and the tech was in a meeting but he would be there in 20 minutes. I knew that wasn't going to happen because I live half an hour from their place which he hadn't left yet, but I waited till 9:30 to call again. At that time she said he was five minutes from my house. At 10:05 I called and she said according to his GPS he would get here in 11 minutes. He got here sometime around 10:30, and did not seem to be aware that I had had an 8:00 appointment. He was very pleasant and got my AC going again. I truly am grateful how quickly they got on this and got the part and fixed my AC even though I no longer have a contract with them, I just don't understand why they can't be more straightforward in the scheduling. I cancelled a 9:00 dr. appt I could have gone ahead and gone to, or I could even have gone to work and come home when they really were on the way to my house, instead of waiting around wondering what was going on for two and a half hours. The way they manage appointments takes away from the good products and services they offer.

Purchased a Big Deal through Angie's List. The provider was extremely prompt and responsive when I asked a question and when I wanted to schedule the service. They were able to schedule the work within days. Installer was polite and professional and completed the work in about 2.5 hours.

Very professional and knowledgeable. Noticed the first bulb installed was bad and installed a working bulb before leaving.

The A/C went out upstairs where my daughter sleeps. Since it was hot all of the other A/C repair people could not come out for a week. ARS was able to come out for an emergency (double the price). When they got there they diagnosed that the coolant was low, but that it had a leak and may not last long. They recommended a new system. After some fast talking with the repair guy, I had a bill for $900.00 to just add 5 ibs of coolant. In their defense I definitely agreed to the additional $90.00 emergency fee, so $180.00 was the service charge. They then said they would credit the $900.00 towards a new unit which they quoted at $10,400.00 but with the credit would be $9300.00. They also pushed to have it done the next day. I told them I would discuss this with my wife. I called Bohr Brothers for a quote and they could do it for $5700.00. I went with Bohr Brothers and they did an excellent job for exactly what they quoted me and my A/C has run better than ever.

ARS also installed a new water heater and it went very well.

They are wonderful. He was very polite and checked everything out properly.

I have been very satisfied. Their service techs are pretty well trained. We have used them for 18 years and they have always done well.

They did very well with the installation. We had a coil that wasn’t working properly and they showed up the same day to fix it, which was covered under warranty. All the technicians have been great. The original installers were wonderful and improved our duct work as well. I have been really happy with them.

The service has been the good. They are good people and we find them dependable.

On time arrival, technician explained and answered all questions, carried out job well as well as some extra with a coil clean, technician revisited the job after completing it because he felt it needed a modification to improve operation and resistance to accidental damage in the future, that was done and all was completed tidily and efficiently

First off, don't buy this special at 9:30 at night !!! They called me within 5 mintues of placing the order to come and install. Never expected that. Incredible service. They were prompt, Terence was fantastic. Personable, efficient, polite and knowledgable. No attempt to sell me anthing except the special I bought. I did ask for service plan information for which they gave me. I do plan to purchase service plans for my units from them mainly due to the promptness and politeness of the service staff (Terence)/ I highly recommend.

Tech had to cut a small hole in the wall in order to access the pipe. His work was neat and he cleaned up after himself before leaving. Very courteous young man. Did very nice, clean job.

We contacted ARS to repair two leaky bath tub faucets. In order for them to assess your issue they must complete a diagnostic which cost $69. Although I wasnt happy about I wanted to have the faucets repaired. There assessment turned up other issues of course; the thermal expansion tank and the pressure reduction valve (PRV). Although the diagnostic signaled additional repairs, we felt the assessment was honest and accurate; it was completed by Ben whom I highly recommend. Unfortunately we ended up having the repairs completed by a different plumber who then said we did need to replace the PRV. After the repairs we were still having issues with one of the showers however this time it was a pressure issue. In the end the PRV did need to be replaced and ARS had to come back out to make that repair. Thankfully this was scheduled quickly and now all issues are resolved. Honestly the additional repairs have made a significance difference in our water pressure in the house and we are thankful that the repairs were made. I thought the price was a bit much but the services are covered by a one year warranty. Overall both plumbers were friendly and courteous. I would definitely call them again for plumbing issues. In the future, I will have the plumber who does the diagnostic complete the repairs to avoid the second guessing of another plumber.
