Description of Work: Inspected a GFI outlet in my garage that would not stay set. Turned out a couple of outside outlets were causing the issue. The electrician was friendly, honest, knocked out the work quickly, and did not try to sell me anything I didn't need. Being that electricians and plumbers don't come cheap, I felt the price was very fair.

Description of Work: Contacted several electricians on Angie's List to replace, repair and do some new work we wanted done. One company was an hour late for the initial estimate visit, took a week to get an estimate & when received it was extremely high for the work we had. When they called to follow up I voiced my opinion on the rates but they said they would work with me & try to match other estimates (Why not give me the best estimate up front???). Another company came out & didn't really act like he knew what he was doing, never wrote down what I wanted him to do, left & said he would send me an estimate but never received one. Arc Electric came out to review the work I needed done, gave me different options, & offered cost saving ideas. They really think "outside the box". They provided a complete and thorough estimate on the spot!!! They were able to put two pendants above our bar & one above our sink when the other companies said it could not be done. They even put in a switch that would work with three different items in our kitchen ~ pendants, eyeball lights, ceiling fan all have their own switch on the same outlet. Replaced/updated our smoke detectors, installed a new outlet on our bar, changed a 240 to 120 on an outside outlet, replaced all recessed lights with new LED lights, as well as many other tasks. We are extremely pleased with their work & will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, friendly & a cost efficient company!!! Don't hesitate to hire them.

He called back within the hour with estimate and we scheduled the work for two days later. Description of Work: We returned home from a weekend get away and found that the upstairs air conditioning and some of the power was off. The breaker switch would not reset so my husband uplugged everything and got out the DIY book. After checking some simple suggestions, we got the air conditioning working and decided to call an electrician on Monday morning for the breaker/power problem. When we did call the owner said he could be out in an hour and was actually early! As luck would have it, when the electrician tried throwing the switch it worked immediately! He wasn't going to charge us for a visit but asked us to call him back if the problem continued. Then we started talking about the many electrical storms that we have in NC so we decided to have him install a Home Surge Protector.

Description of Work: I had blown out a GFCI circuit in my kitchen and could not find a tripped fuse that would reset the circuit. Rich tested all outlets and found the problem rather quickly. Once he identified the outlet that had loose wiring, he had the circuit back in working order in no time. Also, he repaired a problem with one of my fluorescent lights in the laundry room. Rich had identified the problem with the light during a previous visit and was able to get the parts that were needed.

Description of Work: Four ceiling fans with fixtures were installed. I was extremely pleased with the installation, and excellent price. Very professional and a great attitude. I will definitely use his services to install additional fixtures in the near future and any other electrical work.
