Had a good initial in-person consultation where some legitimate problems I didn't notice were picked up by Allgard. That's a good thing. When I got the quote, it was missing several items we discussed. I listed them all out in an email, got another quote back and... items were still missing. This went back-and-forth until everything I initially discussed with them, and repeated several times, ended up on a quote that was contract-worthy - and at a higher price. I signed the contract and sent the check. The check was cashed, then I heard nothing back for over a week - when I contacted them, they became available immediately, as though I fell off their radar. The handyman was very competent, but asked to use my bathroom so he didn't have to relieve himself outside. In the grand scheme of things, I was thankful for that, as were my shrubs. But he worked very hard, was very focused and very professional overall. I'd hire him independently if I could. The painters did a decent job painting and caulking but missed a few things. Like removing the doorbell to re-seal/paint - the split in the wood was clearly visible. I removed it myself, sealed the cracked wood, and painted it myself. After they were done, the sealing work they did around the door didn't work - the house still leaked. They came back and applied more sealant. It is still leaking. They said they would work on getting someone out to look at it and it would probably be an additional charge. That was nearly a month ago and I've not heard back. I'm mostly satisfied with what went right, but the ball was dropped on too many occasions for me to use them again or recommend them to friends and family.

We had a terrible experience. To be fair, the plumber and electrician were great-- timely, pleasant, and did good work. However, the handymen that came out to do a variety of jobs were rushed and incomplete. Nearly all of the handymen jobs needed to be re-done by other people. E-mails were often unanswered, billing was not transparent, and information regarding delays was not regularly communicated. I would not work with them again.
Description of Work: Needed several small items and one large item completed around the house including a small plumbing job and electrical grounding.
