The guys that came to do the work were super friendly and did a great job. They arrived as scheduled and on time to start the job. They completed the work within 3 days. The chimney was in poor shape, but they competely worked with me on only doing necessary repairs only. We're aiming to redo the entire house, so really just needed repairs to get me to the point when we're ready to start the larger project. I did go over my original quote, which i expected to due to he condition of the chimney, but Adam worked to not exceed my budgeted amount. I would call again next time I have more work to do.

We contacted AJT Construction to obtain an estimate to perform the above mentioned work on our house, We did this after reviewing general contractors on Angie's List . Upon meeting with Adam Terracina, president of AJT Construction, we found him to be very personable and professional. He provided us with a detailed estimate. After our second meeting with Adam, we decided to use the services of AJT Construction. I should mention that their estimate was in line with other contractors we had reviewed. We set a date for them to start. They started in a timely fashion and worked around our schedule on more than one occasion. The siding was replaced first, the house power washed and painted. The next task was to replace all of the existing gutters and add gutter guards then on to replacing all of the downstairs windows. interior painting was worked in at the same time by a separate crew. Adam's workers were always punctual and professional. They even did a few side jobs that were not in the contract. We had a very good repiore with Adam and his workers. We would recommend them to anyone and when we have work to do in the future, we will have AJT Construction perform the services.

We contacted a large number of contractors (8 to 10) and had in-person interviews with many of them. Adam, the president of AJT construction, Inc. is a very professional person to deal with. We had a number of opportunities to interact with him in person as we solicited a rough estimate, and then a final estimate for the renovation work that we wanted to do. We were highly impressed with the detailed final bid that he provided. We narrowed our short list down to two contractors and we felt confident that AJT would provide good service and were seriously considering using them for our renovation. For the final decision, we did use one of the other contractors that had more experience with the type of renovation that we ended up doing. We feel very good about AJT and will definitely consider them for doing any of future work.

The contractor showed up on time, was pleasant as he surveyed the work to be done. However, I was contacted later via email and told they would not give me an estimate unless I paid money upfront. They'd never mentioned it when I contacted them by phone. As of the date of this review neither their Angie's list page nor their website said they charge for estimates. This was disappointing, especially since after the experience with contractor looking at the work to be done, and how professional and knowledgable he was, I was actually looking forward to working with them.

We were impressed the first time we met Adam (owner) and Rich (foreman). They were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. We liked that we got to meet with the primary person working on our job (Rich) and not just the owner. It made us feel more comfortable with having strangers in our home for a few months. During the initial meeting, we showed them our plans (we had a family member draw up plans for us), they offered helpful suggestions, listened intently when we told them what we did and did not want and took notes during the whole meeting. Overall, we just got a really good vibe from them. While Adam was working on the estimate, we emailed over a few questions and he was quick and thorough with his responses. The estimate they came back with was around what we were thinking it would be (not the lowest estimate we received from the five contractors we interviewed, but not the highest either - by far!). The tornado damage estimate was right at what our insurance company had quoted us as well. AJT first sends the total estimate, then if you want to get an itemized estimate, they will make that up for a $250 deposit (which is credited back if they do your work). They started work on the tornado damage while we were waiting for our loan to come through for the addition. They worked on that from July 28th through August 3rd. We were very pleased with how quickly they got it all done and how much everything looked like new when they finished. Meanwhile, their structural engineer stamped the plans and they were ready to start construction. They began on our addition on August 5th. Rich and the other guy (I can't remember his name right now) would get here at about 8am (or sooner) and would work until after 5pm, most days. They were here every weekday until it was time for their subcontractors to hang the sheetrock. We were pleased with how quickly the building was coming together. We had some major issues with our roofing company and through it all, AJT was ready, willing and able to help whenever we needed it. Rich and the other guy even came back to our house at around 7pm the night hurricane Irene came through to throw and secure tarps over the entire structure since the roofers had not started on the new roof yet. Also, Adam was ready to call his roofing subcontractor in the event we had to fire our roofing guy. We really appreciated their willingness to help out. (Not to mention the fact that they commiserated with us on the unprofessionalism and ineptitude of our roofer.) Once the structure was complete, the tile guy (Leo, I think) came in and did the shower and floor tile in the bathroom. He was very friendly and, although hard to understand sometimes, listened to what we wanted and did a beautiful job. Meanwhile, Rich worked on the moldings, the closet shelving and the painting. Once that was finished, we had to wait on the special order carpet and the special order countertop. Adam worked with us to find us the best deal on both the carpet and the countertops, checking multiple suppliers until we got what we wanted at the best price. Rich installed our custom vanity (made by my father-in-law) so it would be ready for guys to make the template for the countertop. The electrician came in in the meantime and hooked up the electrical in the bedroom and closet, so we could move in to the new master bedroom while we were waiting on the countertop to complete the bathroom. The carpet was installed in about 3 hours and they did a great job. The countertop came in about a week and a half later and once that was in, the tile guy came back to finish up the flooring and backsplash, Rich finished the painting, the electrician finished up and the plumber hooked everything up. Once everything was completed, we had the final inspections and the rooms were complete. We couldn't be happier with our new master bedroom, closet and bath! AJT made the process as painless as possible and we would recommend them to anyone needing a contractor. They are fantastic!

My overall experience with Atj construction inc. is a pleasant and less stress full experience. I haven't dealt with many contractors but i figure if i am paying for a service I better not get worry over the work or have to make many calls when I'm not there. oh and one thing that stuck out the most was that I had called another contractor to talk about doing the repairs with them but they never return my call. however ATJ construction inc. always return my calls or text on time. hope this helps someone else!

The estimator was on time. I feel the price was fair. The installers showed up on time. Re-did my roof in a day & half just as promised. They lift the yard clean...no nails or debris was lift behind. They have performed different types work for my neighbors & everyone has always been pleased.

Overall, it was an excellent experience despite the only caveat which was rainy fall weather which slightly slowed down the final completion date. That however, was an unavoidable part of this project. Adam met with me initially to go over my goals and objectives and to explain the organized way his projects flow which included the permitting process (which was included in the price). He later presented me with a professional drawing showing me what to expect if I were to select his firm for the work. When I asked him for references, he willingly and cheerfully provided those to me. Upon my following up with each of them, he and his company received glowing reviews. I was well pleased and impressed with Adam's reviews, professionalism and courtesy so opted to hire AJT. Now I am especially glad that I did. Adam's crew were all hard workers and came prepared to put in an honest day's work. They were all respectful, courteous and diligent workers. If the weather was inclement, Adam kept me informed of the schedule changes. He also kept in constant email reach so that I was well aware of what was going on since I was still working. He also promptly responded to any of my calls or emails. I was most impressed with that day to day contact throughout the project. And he never sounded anything less than enthused each time we talked. He sounded happy to hear from me which was beyond what one would expect in such a relationship! And he is a very sincere person clearly possessing professional skills mixed in with lots of integrity. The quality of the work performed was superior from start to finish. And as an added plus, I had a fun time getting to know the various team workers. They all had great attitudes, good senses of humor and only high regard for Adam and his company. Overall, it was an excellent experience working with AJT Construction. And my carport is proof of what fine work they create. I LOVE my new carport!! Their motto is "serve, build and create". They live that motto by the type of dedication that they show in their building projects as well as in their personal manner. Should I ever opt to make any further changes to my home, I know who I will hire--AJT Construction, a company who says what they mean and mean what they say. Their promises are as solid as their work which is so very refreshing in this day and age!
