They did an excellent job of cleaning the ducts. Didn't pressure me into having other work done.

They arrive on time. Explained what they were going to do and how it would be accomplished. Performed the work in a professional manner. Told me about an additional item I could have done (additional cost also) but did not push it. It took them about 2.5 hours (1 heating/AC system) to complete the job. Left no mess. Removed shores before walking on new upstairs carpet without my asking them to do so. If I need additional work like this, I would call them.

Arrived on time, efficiently got the job done. They showed a video of the condition of the ducts, cleaned up after the procedure & were done in about an hour.

I have chronic/severe asthma, and had been putting off vent cleaning for years. I didn?t want just anyone to do the job because I wanted a THOROUGH cleaning, not just a simple vacuuming of the duct work. Thanks to the nearly half-off Angie?s List deal with Air Quality Concepts, I was able to afford to get the ?real deal? of a thorough cleaning. I couldn?t believe how CLEAN the air was to breathe after the team left. Also, because of my asthma, I was going to tell them not to use the fragrance they add while cleaning the ducts, but it didn?t bother my asthma at all and left the house smelling great, but with no discernible scent ? it just smelled FRESH. When I asked how often I needed the ducts cleaned, I was told every couple of years, which sort of disappointed me because I wanted it done every year it smelled so great and felt so ?light? in my house. It is such a relief to be able to really take a deep breath in my own house without fear of breathing in stale, possibly moldy air. Oh ? and they checked for mold, too. A heating company who made a minor repair told me I had some mold and to call ?their? choice of duct cleaners. I?m so glad I didn?t because I didn?t have mold and that company is one that does a bit of vacuuming in the duct work and calls it ?cleaning.? I will use Air Quality Concepts as long they are in business ? and I hope they continue to offer deals through Angie?s List so I have it done more often than not.

It went fantastic. I had expected a lot of dust but there was none when they finished.

They were very punctual, very professional and friendly. Were willing to do whatever was required to complete the job for us. All necessary cleaning work and cleanup were accomplished right on the schedule agreed upon when the job was scheduled. We will definitely hire these people again.

Air Quality Concepts did an excellent job. We have a two story two unit HVAC system. The previous owner was a smoker (legal and illegal smoking) so when we moved in we really had to scrub things down. The AQ guys came in and did an excellent job, they were on time, clean, polite and another special concern of mine is how they treated my wife...she was very happy. They were expensive but in a previous house we had a different company that was cheaper but not nearly as good. I would highly recommend the AQ guys. Expensive but worth it.

They worked well as a team and finished within thetime they had estimated. We would recomend them to anyone thinking about having their air ducts cleaned.

Professional and courteous. Clearly explained the process and left the house in better condition than they found it. I also had them sanitize our system, which is great with a 2 year warranty plus they'll come back in one year as part of the service and respray it. We are expecting a a baby so having clean air in the house was a top priority.

The owner and assistant arrived on time to service our system. They were courteous, professional, and thorough throughout the entire process that lasted approximately 3.5 hours. They took the time necessary to completely clean each segment of my system never rushing or overlooking potential issues. Their work-ethnic, performance, and quality are well-worth the very reasonable price charged. Do not be fooled by amateurs' specials in the newspaper for $60 duct cleaning as those are rip-offs and will probably result in a sinus infection from their sloppy techniques. Air Quality Concepts on the other hand are true professionals. I am very pleased with the results and know why so many recommend them on Angie's List. Do it right the first time and contact Air Quality Concepts.

We purchased the Big Deal for the whole house vent cleaning and deodorizing. The guys were great, and overall we were happy with the service, although I can't really tell any difference from before and after. We purchased this house about 6 months ago so I wasn't sure if and when this service had been done, so it was more of a preventative measure since I suppose it's a good thing to do every few years. My only complaint is that the blowback (small black dust-like particles) continued for longer than I anticipated, but after about a month it stopped. I liked how considerate they were in taking off their shoes, and in general were very kind and polite. I'm sure they did as good a job or better than others who perform the same service.

They were professional, punctual, and organized. I would use them again and would recommend them to others.

Their office person emailed me right after I purchased the Big Deal. I called her to set up the appt and she was pleasant and helpful, and accommodating to my schedule. I had been considering one of the low cost services that does a lot of advertising, but after some Google searches I decided it was probably a safer bet to use a company that charged more and had very good reviews. Apparently, some of the lower priced places try to add on lots of other charges for various things. The 2 workers came on schedule and in a short time I felt I could trust them. They were professional, knowledgeable, and good communicators. They looked at my vents and advised me the best way to proceed, so as not to harm the popcorn ceilings around the vents. They were very careful working in my home. They kept me informed of what they were finding and what they recommended. They did not try to sell me any extra services, except to offer to come back in a year to do the dryer vent again and check the furnace return area. I didn't want any lingering odor in their products and they respected my wishes. I had this done because I have a lot of allergies and there was a cat owned by the previous owner. Now I know I've done what I can to insure I don't have a lot of dander and other particles circulating through the air! I highly recommend this company and would use them again.

Bought an Angie's List Big Deal to get my air vents cleaned after I started to suspect that there might be a mold problem (sinus infections started occurring out of the blue). Shortly after buying the Big Deal, the company contacted me to schedule my vent cleaning. The team arrived promptly on time, proceeded to explain exactly what they were going to do, and then went about cleaning my vents quickly and efficiently. Sure enough, there was mold in the ducts and air handlers (they showed me a video of the ducts...I couldn't believe I was breathing the black mold that was all over the vents that I was very familiar with--I've been doing renovations for the past three years)...after they were done, they showed me a video of the "after" view, and I was surprised at how clean they were able to get the vents--I doubt the ducts had been cleaned since the house was built in '83. It's been a month since the cleaning, and my allergies have abated, my sinus infection cleared up and I've not had any respiratory problems since. Even my perpetually blood shot eyes have cleared up! On top of everything else, the owner was very upfront and transparent re: the bill. In short, I couldn't be happier--and I heartily recommend this company and their services for anyone who has any concern about their ducts, airhandlers, etc., or who may be experiencing respiratory issues that they suspect might be related to their HVAC system.

They called me to schedule it, which I appreciated, but I was too busy with other house related projects at the time, so I told them I'd have to call back. I scheduled it some time later. They were prompt, courteous, and did a great job! I already added an event to my calendar to have them back in 1 year to clean the dryer vent again, and 3 years for the air ducts. Out of 11 companies, I have had two really outstanding experiences from Angie's List deals. This was one of the two. I highly recommend them.

From the moment I spoke to Debbie and Charles on the phone, I knew this was the company that I was going to hire for the job. Kind, caring and professional, they calmly assured me that everything was going to be 100% OK. They did not take any of my health concerns for granted, and for that I am truly thankful. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.

They started the cleaning process at 9am and finished at Noon. Great job.

Phone contact was easy, and when I had questions that the person on the phone couldn't answer, she promptly connected me to the owner. They seem very well organized and very responsive. Information that I gave them on one call was kept, so I didn't have to repeat things . Their phone estimate was consistent with other reputable services, and there were no other charges except for some remediation of mold found in the gaspack structure, which was something unknown and therefore not specified in the phone estimate. The charge for the crawlspace-cleanup part of the job was less than the sight-unseen phone estimate. The owner (Charles Edwards) and his associate Tony did the work, working carefully and thoroughly, especially in the difficult crawlspace job. Both were personable and happy to explain their work and other HVAC and home maintenance questions that came up as we walked around the house. They were very clear in their explanations and made sure that I understood their answers. They always wondered if I had more questions. They pointed out some crawlspace mold that had been overlooked by previous workers and some access points for rodents that I hadn't seen. They also complemented much of the HVAC work that had been done in the past. Overall, I would say that they did very good work for a good price and took pride in their work and in the new relationship with me. I could not have asked for a better home maintenance experience. I will have them return for some minor mold remediation in the future.

The best way to describe our experience is to compare it to a previous experience. Our ABSOLUTELY PERFECT experience with Air Quality Concepts:There was absolutely no negative aspects to my experience with Air Quality concepts: I was impressed that the owner of the company came out to do the estimate and that's exactly what I was charged. The technicians that worked on my system arrived on time - the owner actually helped do the work on my system. The owner explained to me typical problems with duct work and ways to repair or avoid such problems. The technicians were personable & clean, down to shoe covers, and they kept my house as clean as they found it. They explained each task they performed and what it accomplished (even showed me the results from one vent - YUCK) The technician was even observant to ask about my dog going outside while they were going in and out with equipment - so they wouldn't accidentally let her out (but we have an invisible fence so it was okay) What we did NOT experience with Air Quality Concepts (but did with a national chain): AQC did NOT send scary looking technicians who looked like they were hired off the street handed a shop vac. AQC did NOT cut a hole in the actual HVAC unit to "access" it with their equipment and then covered it with DUCT TAPE! AQC did NOT leave scuffs on the walls where they carried equipment upstairs. AQC did NOT break a floor vent cover. AQC did NOT spilled the stuff they vacuumed out of the ducts all over the living room carpet and then leave streaks because they just used their "shop vac" to get it up. AQC did NOT do everything in a rush and did NOT seem to be trying to get all their jobs for that day finished early. AQC did NOT provide quotes or scheduling only by phone. I WILL use Air Quality Concepts again for future duct cleaning and recommend them to friends and family (& Angie's List)!

We have two HVAC systems, one which we knew had mold based on an outside assessment. Our HVAC contractor recommended Charles ("Rock") Edwards at Air Quality Concepts for duct cleaning. I was skeptical of duct cleaning services, having read horror stories of shoddy work and outrageous fees, but I knew we had a problem so I called him. To start, the office manager quoted a price over the phone (based on the number of systems, ducts, and return vents we have) with no hidden charges later so I knew exactly what I was paying. When Rock and his technician were at the house I quizzed him on what he was doing, how his equipment worked, his guarantee, and why his service is better than the other guys. Rock patiently answered all of my questions and explained why his equipment and technique is more comprehensive than the cheap guys in the newspaper (who jack up the price when they get to your house). They spent several hours cleaning the ducts one by one and left everything cleaner than they found it. I recommend Air Quality Concepts without reservation.
