Affordable Tile by Moses

Ken was awesome! He had the best price and craftsmanship didn't suffer as a result. Showed up on time everyday, completed the project within the time frame, and cleaned up after himself everyday before leaving. Already recommended Ken to one of neighbors and to my parents. Will use Ken when we re do our bathroom in the new house!

Ken was prompt, organized and friendly. He gave me a lot of information about the particular tile I chose for the backsplash and pro/cons of using certain types of tiles. The estimate was fast and easy to schedule. He did a wonderful job and layed out the pattern prior to installing. The job took about 6.5 hours to complete. He also gave me instructions for how to clean it in the future. I would recommend him to friends.

The job went well. Moses did a great job. He was very prompt and responsive and the custom back-splash looks really nice.

Ken Moses is great! He arrived right on time to provide the estimate and arrived exactly when he said he would when performing the work. The estimate he provided was in line with another we'd gotten, and it was very affordable:-) The tile surround he installed around our new tub looks fantastic. He also "rejuvenated" the worn out, discolored grout in our 25 year old shower. The shower looks new again! I highly recommend Ken Moses; you won't be disappointed!

Moses did an EXCELLENT job for us at a reasonable price. He arrived early each day as promised--completed the work professionally and beautifully. Tile and grout look terrific. He took care to lay down towels to prevent tracking in of dust/tile chips, left workspace clean each day and completed everything on time and on budget. Thank you so much, Moses--next tile job we have, we are definitely calling you!

Mr. Moses did an exceptional job in installing porcelain tile in two of my bathrooms. He removed and disposed of the old carpet, installed two under layers, and professionally installed the tile. He was punctual, friendly, and provided useful advice. I would not hire anyone else for tile installation in the future.

Ken Moses did a great job communicating how he was going to perform the work to ensure the best end result. Unlike other contractors we've hired we were the only clients he worked for during the duration of the project, so he was completely focused on our work. He offered some suggestions on how to ensure the tile transitioned smoothly from the bedrooms to the other rooms. He was responsive, prompt and professional. The floors of those three rooms look great!

Mr. Moses is not only the best both in ability, price, and workmanship, he also became my friend. He came for the estimate, told me what I needed to do to prepare for the installation if I could do that work myself, (which I could) wrote down EVERY detail of what materials we needed to get and what he would supply, and wrote the price out. His pricing is better than any of the others I called, by upwards of $2,000.00. He also is very careful about your property, i.e., he covers all the area he has to walk through with plastic and places towels at the work site door, and at the entrance to my home, so he tracks nothing in or out. He cleans up everything before he leaves each day. I have never had this sort of work done by anyone, but, I will tell everyone and anyone I run into who needs tile work, to contact Mr. Moses, "Affordable Tile by Moses." We are going to have a new tile floor put in the bathroom in the not to distant future, to replace vinyl, and Mr. Moses will do that work also.

This is not the first time I have hired him to do work for me. I have been using Affordable Tiles for years now. He is one of the best in this business. If you want it done RIGHT call him!!

Amazingly well... Mr Moses was top notch. I made an error in ordering the tile and did not order enough, delaying completion. I was not charged extra even though he had to return on another day to complete the floor. Beyond that Mr Moses was very informative regarding some potential issues with the natural stone tile that I had not considered. He was on time, professional, and friendly! I could not ask for more. Very pleased with both his work and his professionalism.

The job seemed rushed through. There were many uneven cuts, spacing issues and even gaps in the grout. The corners were not uniform and I asked him to come out twice to repair. Each time there were still issues and finally he refused to come back stating that the job was complete and that we were being too particular. We had another tile company perform the repairs and are now finally satisfied with work. I hired him to tile my kitchen floor 1 year prior and felt the job was competent enough to offer him the backsplash job. Reading other reviews it would appear that Mr. Moses is good with floor tile but not when it comes to walls. I wish that I had read those reviews before hiring him. I would not hire this individual for anything other than the most basic floor tile work.

Job went great! Moses was very professional and always on time. He was detailed and very courteous.

A dreadful experience! Moses is pleasant until asked to do something. Then he becomes argumentative and uncooperative. Even with our simple request to put aside the dark travertine tiles and use the lightest ones. The bull nose molding in the bathroom was not straight. He went into an angry rage when asked to fix it. He used a dull saw blade. The tiles have jagged edges where cuts were made. The tile lines are not straight or grouted correctly. Another tile company is coming to re-grout the bathroom. We do not want water getting the walls wet where it would leak through the tiles. We do not trust Moses to do this correctly, nor do does my husband want to tolerate his terrible temper if we asked him to correct the work. The kitchen floor was unlike anything imaginable. None of the tiles were level. One of them looked like a sinking ship, half in and half out. Moses argued with my husband in a most unpleasant manner, screaming and nasty. "Nothing is wrong with the unevenness of the titles. No one else ever complained." He continued arguing that we were wrong about the uneven tiles being a hazard. Believe me, someone would certainly trip on these tiles. (We put thick rugs down so we would not trip and fall.) My husband did not give up. Finally, Moses came back to replaced some of the tiles. What a mess!!! Dust all over everything, again. Although better, the floor tiles are still not level. Another company is coming with a diamond headed sander to level the floor, grinding the tiles down to make them level. Then it must be resealed. This is very expensive and another dusty mess. But this will finally be nightmare will finally be over!

Very well. Moses showed up on time and worked long hours to get it done under a quick deadline. His abilities are very good. He is very meticulous. And he's a kind person to boot! Would highly recommend.

I paid $375 for the work and would do it again. He made very clear during the quoting process how much tile to buy - we only had two extra pieces so I don't feel like I wasted money - and what kind of grout to get. It took one full day and an hour the next day for him to finish. Whenever we get around to our other bathroom we'll call him again.

Went very well. Moses went above original scope of work for continuity without up-charging. Recommend highly.

Ok but plumber and Moses did not communicate well. Work was done on time but Moses did not clean up grout on tile and floor, put door back on, put vent cover back on. He forgot to tell me to get a built in soap and shampoo shelf so it could be installed into the wall while he was putting in tile. I never got a real bill or receipt for work done. Tile was not installed flush but that is not a big deal. You can feel it to the touch but it is not noticable. Floor is ok. Looks nice.

The floors do look nice, he could of cleaned up more, as in taking out the empty tile boxes and wiping the walls and floor around outside of shower.

It has always been good! I give him a 10. He originally came and gave me an estimate and I chose him out of 3 different people. He came right away and there were 3 layers of linoleum that he had to take up but he got the job done beautifully and when people come into my home give compliments all the time!

The shower stall was not exactly square, but instead of fixing that or letting us know so that we could have it repaired, the floor tile was put in out of square and is quite obvious. The whole job gives the impression of being done by an amateur. Some of the tiles are not level. There were big globs of uneven grout left in edges and corners. Fortunately we notice before it dried and were able to smooth and remove some of the excess grout. He also was to regrout the floor of a 2nd bathroom which looked no different after it was finish. He kept mentioning that he was in a hurry because he had a big job.

Super nice guy. He does good work, not perfect work because that doesn't exist. Very affordable. Easy to talk to and very kind.

Very nice guy and does know what he is doing. Biggest issue is quality of his work, especially when he hurries. Fit of tiles could have been much better and quite a bit of grout cleanup was left for us. Some tiles on the floor and shower wall are not completely flush even though new wall board or floor board was put down. None on the floor were enough to cause us to stub our feet but a couple on the shower wall were bigger. One was right in line with the shower glass enclosure but the person installing the shower glass was able to make it look okay. Some tiles on the floor did not line up which he said was due to slight differences in the tile sizes. Which I could see but taking a moment to try a different tile would have improved the look. He said he didn't know that was important to me. After we discussed it he did a much better job on the shower wall. This was an expensive investment for us so I was hoping for top quality work.
