Affordable Tile by Moses

He did not show, did not call. When I called him, he explained that we had emailed a long time ago (10 days) and he forgot. After seeing other people state the same problem on Angie's List, we did not reschedule.

Mr. Moses showed up on time and worked late on the first day. He worked for four days, even in the pouring rain for two days. You will not find a harder worker and the job was done beautifully. He even came back and fixed minor details to our satisfaction, including cutting the bottom of the door so it would close (owner responsibility). His prices are reasonable and his work is outstanding. We would use Affordable Tiles by Moses again.

Mr. Moses came to our home to look at the job we needed done. He recommended the kind of tile we needed and how much and gave a$900.00 quote on the job. We purchased the tiles and grout as recommended. We called him on Monday, Sept. 29 to verify that he would start work on Wednesday, October 1. Mr. Moses was on time (8:00AM) on Wednesday. The tiles and grout were ready for him. He removed the doors first, then the old flooring. He smoothed the floor and laid cement board. He measured everything very carefully before he cut. When he left after 5:00PM he had laid about 2/3 of the tile. He returned on Thursday about 8:15AM. He spent this day cutting tile to fit around toilets, door frames, and tubs. He was meticulous and precise in his cutting and laying the tile. Grouting was done. Very neat job. After cleaning the floor, he gave us instruction about further cleaning, when we could walk on the floor, etc. We gave him his check. Mr. Moses was very professional. He takes pride in his work. Pleasant to work with. We will call on him again.

Mr. Moses was prompt arriving on time both days it took him to complete the job. He worked diligently and completed the job with a professional manner. When I made a mistake by not informing Mr. Moses about a tile that would need to be cut for a piece of trim he made a special trip just to satisfy me, allowing the follow up contractors to do their jobs and complete their tasks. There are several places where there is not enough grout but Mr. Moses is going to correct that as soon as I can get time off to coordinate that appointment. I am a real estate professional and have seen both great tile jobs and poor tile jobs. I would gladly recommend Mr. Moses to other families and co-workers

Overall, Ken was very professional in the business aspect as well as doing the work. When Ken came to review our basement, he gave us a quote and a list of supplies the same eveningl; he even gave us a nice discount since we were Angie's list members. I wanted to look through everything first and research his website and things. I called him about two weeks later to set this job up. He did not pester me at all in this waiting time. I was very impressed with that. Once he started the work, he was very professional, prompt, and knowledgable. Any questions I had, he was always willing to answer and explain. He was done with this job in just two and half days. I had a great experience with him and would recommend his services. My husband and I were delighted with his beautiful work! He also let us know how to care for the tile in the future.

The project took four days. Mr Moses arrived when he said he would each day. On the first day he worked until late in the evening. He cleaned up each day. There were two extra cost items because of unforeseen problems. He explained the reason, gave me the option of what to do. I considered the costs reasonable and had him do the work. He warned me that once the grout dried it would need a scrubbing to get it off of the surface of the tiles. I used a car wash brush and a shop vacuum to clean the floors. I've gotten a couple of complements on the backsplash.

What I wanted to have done wasn’t covered by the deal. He came and gave me an estimate for the extra work but I am getting a refund. He was very nice, outlined some things for me, and knew what he was doing.

Ken was very punctual throughout the process. He did an excellent job of explaining the job and what was to be performed from start to finish. He took his time to ensure that everything was precise and stayed in close contact throughout the process to ensure that everything was done to our satisfaction. My wife and I are in the process of renovating a home that we just purchased and are please the most with how the tiling came out. I would highly recommend Ken to anyone as he was VERY fair in his price (least expensive we had quote) and did an exceptional job in a timely manner. A+ all around.

Moses did an amazing tile job on our shower. The shower is beautiful, and he did it all fast and efficient. Very happy we chose him and I would highly recommend using him for any tiling job needed in your home. It only took him two days for our large shower and this entailed demolition of the previous tile job and all new design and tile.

He was very helpful, polite, and kind. He was also conscientious in keeping the area as clean as possible throughout, and in cleanup. The finished tiles looked really nice. The shower in the other bathroom looked like new (and it's actually about 30 years old). I would definitely call him again. Overall, his service is A+++.

Working with Ken was fantastic. He was easily reachable during the bidding process and we had great communication through completion of the job. We made a change in wanting diagonal pattern to our tile and he was very accommodating and demonstrated his knowledge and experience by minimizing waste in the cuts and pattern since I underestimated the amount of tile I needed. He was punctual, friendly, and professional, and the job was completed when promised. Ken did great work and the result is fantastic!! We have no hesitation recommending him.

Mr. Moses was fabulous. He provided me with a sample of large square tiles and I took that to Home Depot and picked out the rest of the tiles necessary to complete the job, I picked out the color grout and caulking as well. Mr. Moses was consistently on time, cleaned up after himself nicely and was very good at fixing any little thing I pointed out.

Ken was great, on time, and finished ahead of schedule. Very pleased with the quality of the work. I did most of the demolition myself to save money. Ken is honest and good at what he does. We would recommend him to anyone.

We were extremely satisfied with our experience with Affordable Tiles by Moses. We were specifically looking for someone with expertise in tiles and grout (as opposed to someone who does it along with a lot of other general contracting work.) Mr. Moses was very knowledgeable and was able to answer our questions and address the concerns we had about the condition of our tile shower (installed by another contractor). He fixed the problems we had, and it looks and works great now!

Everything was excellent and smooth going. He is professional, courteous and prompt. I've had bad customer service this past year and it was s joy to find someone who can do something correctly. I was very happy with the service and he was so polite. He had to come back the next morning to smooth out grout and he cleaned up nicely. I would definitely use him again and highly recommend him.

Ken Moses came to my property on the 6th of February 2014. After meeting with Mr. Moses and discussing the project, I did not get the sense that he had any real experience with marble. Having had marble installed in many other homes of mine, I have developed an understanding in the technique and process involved with a proper install. Mr. Moses seemed to be unaware that the installation technique and materials necessary to properly install marble differ from those of ceramic and porcelain tile. The estimate itself was very low, which was also a red flag. I was also slightly put off by his marketing pitch both prior to and following the estimate. While, Affordable Tile by Moses may be the right fit for one person, this company was not the right one for my job.

Ken Moses did a great job for us! His pricing was incredibly fair. He was able to clean out and regrout a very old shower. This saved us thousands of dollars because we did not have to replace the entire shower. We also had two reschedule twice due to a medical emergency and an asbestos abatement. Ken still managed to fit us into his busy schedule. He was very gracious.

Ken Moses is a true craftsman/artisan. He works methodically, creatively, and carefully. He is also flexible and informative. He includes you in the creative process in terms helping you decide what options you want. He works by himself, which is nice because the guy who gives you the estimate, also does the work to completion. He is super busy and has many clients, but it is definitively worth the wait, because once he is on your property, he is singularly focused on your job.

Provider oversold services and cannot confirm schedule.

Ken Moses is a civil engineer and a true artisan. Each step of the work was thoughtfully planned and executed. Ken was punctual, polite, and worked without a break from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm for four and a half days until our bathroom was completed. He handled any problems that arose with grace and inventiveness. We are beyond pleased with our beautiful new bathroom!

Ken was on time every day. Arrived at 8:00 and left at 7:00. He never took a lunch and was always on time. We had a few items to fix once he was finished and he was very responsive to our calls. Over all I would recommend Ken to anyone who does not need a one service provider shower stall installation. As he told me many times "I am not a plumber"

Good experience, but the provider is scheduled through late July, so we need it done sooner.

I work a factory job every weekday. This is a single bath, 1100 sq. ft. frame house and I sense that the tile floor in the shower was not enough of a moneymaker for this craftsman. A friend will wait for Ken to call or show up on Monday. No call/no show at this point doesn't make us feel all warm and fuzzy.
