I have one full bathroom in my house, so there is only one tub/shower. They worked fast for a job like this, which meant that I had little disruption in my schedule. They were efficient, prompt, and cleaned up each day. I can't say enough good things about them! In fact, they quickly stepped in to clean up the mess left by another contractor who had abandoned the job. Jonathan was great to work with when getting things scheduled and putting together an estimate, which came back at a more than fair price. I supplied a lot of the materials and did a lot of the demolition myself, and they stepped right in and took it from there. The tile job is fantastic, a truly professional job. I love it! Everything was done right the first time, and I couldn't be more pleased. I'll be calling them again when I'm ready to tackle my kitchen!

Jonathan and him team are ROCK STARS. We would hire him again to do any remodel job we have. Things started off really well with him... The thing that stuck out to me at the first was the amount of time he stayed at my house looking through things before providing the estimate. He spent over an hour at our house looking at every single detail (he went in the basement... went in the attict, etc...). Within a few days of the visit, he provided a very detailed estimate. We were very comfortable with selecting his company for the job. We live in a house built in the 1950s, so there were many surprises along the way, and every time we had one, Jonathan was there with a solution. Since we were living in the house during the remodel, Jonathan and his assistant did a really good job cleaning up their mess of the day. The house was livable because these guys took the time to clean up.... Also through the entire project, Jonathan did a great job communicating with the status with us. The result of the renovation is remarkable. We went with a kitchen that was outdated and had horrible flow to a modern kitchen. The project has been complete for 6 months now, and the level of quality in the work provided is top of the class.

Jonathan with Affordable remodeling is an awesome contractor. He is a type of guy who you would call, email, or text and boy you get a response fairly quickly. He is a great communicator in every aspect of this business. He works with Terry from Stock builder and what a team. After all the quotes that my husband and I got, they had the best quote and provided top notch service. Jonathan definitely has connections and knows where to get the best deal for granite, tiles, and faucets. We gave Jonathan a tight deadline, he literally had a month to do the job before we moved. Initially, he did say there is no way he can get it done in a month since he had other projects that he was currently on but after a few more discussions ? he did it! He and his team helped remodeled our kitchen on time and we love it. We couldn?t have asked for a better experience. Thanks Jonathan!!!!

Note that we are very late with this review. Sorry, we've been very busy. I bought all the materials (except the fan/light) and demolished the old built-in cabinet, removed oil toilet, and removed two layers of tile floor and the old mortar bed (circa 1950s), and then installed a subfloor. The rest of the job was completed by Jonathan's crew. Note that the remodel did not include redoing the shower, and the light fixtures remained the same, although one had to be moved a bit to make room for the medicine cabinet. They added one outlet above the new vanity (there was none there before) and provided and installed a new fan with light and night light (very nice). I think this was a relatively straightforward job, and I thought the price was just a little high for what was involved, but the quality of work was fantastic and well worth it. It took about a week, maybe a little more, with one guy working most of the time. Their material cost was minimal, except for the fan. The tile work was especially exceptional. He has a separate company and we'll try to get a review for him up here---tile is easy to screw up and a great job here makes the project shine. Jonathan came on site a few times and helped to trouble shoot a problem that came up with one of the old pipes. He had the simple solution to a seemingly complex problem--nice. The new bathroom looks fantastic. We're are very pleased and would hire Jonathan again.

Jonathan was prompt, responsive and provided a detailed estimate of the work. He was agreeable to let me do those things I was comfortable with (to save a little money). The project started and finished on time. What I especially appreciated was he communicated well, even sending pictures via email as the work was being done. Since I was in the house frequently I could see that he was careful and covered all furniture, etc. as he was working. We had cabinets removed, drywall installed, cabinets cleaned, repainted and reinstalled and finally new countertops and sink. He also installed a dishwasher and over the stove microwave. All and all a very good experience.

We had used Affordable Remodeling previously for some work in a small bathroom and were pleased with the work on the project. So we called him for a quote on the kitchen-den remodeling project. He came out in October or early November, we talked about the work we wanted and he made some suggestions for getting it done. He provided us with a quote a few days later and we agreed that we wanted to proceed but wanted to wait until after the holidays. The project started about Jan 8th and finished on January 31. Jonathan (the owner) had two subcontractors who worked with him - one who made and installed the 9 roll out shelves, made some decorative shelves that were added near the window, and repaired a kickplate area under the sink - and an electrician who did the electrical work mentioned above - both of whom proved to be great to work with and very good at what they did. Jonathan did all the prep, priming and painting of the walls, paneling and cabinets - and his biggest challenge was us, as we could not settle on the right color for the paneling. Jonathan was very patient and spent a lot of time going back and forth to the paint store trying to come up with a color we could accept. But the results are so worth it - we are extremely happy with what was a dark kitchen and den that now is light and bright. We changed the cabinets from being brown to white - and changed the walls to a pale pale green.The roll out shelves are wonderful - everyone should have them - and they make all the wasted space useable. Although we "lost" half of a double cabinet on the top, because I gained so much space with the rollout shelves, I don't seem to be missing any space. The den had been dark because of the paneling and grasscloth (probably 30 years old - from the original owner) - we had the bottom half (which was paneling) painted green and from the white chair rail up we removed the grasscloth and Jonathan painted the walls the pale pale green - as the kitchen and den walls meet at one point. Everyone who sees it comments on how much bigger the den seems now. We are getting lots of compliments on the remodel.

Abount a month before our family was coming for a viait, the floor in our original-to-the-house shower surround broke through due to a leak that had rotted the shower floor. We were pretty sure we needed a new shower, so we sent out "emergency" requests for contractors specifying that our time was very short. Jonathan, the principal at Affordable Remodeling, contacted us right away indicating he thought he could do it in time. He came out the next day and gave us a provisional estimate. He was very organized. He gave us a list of things we needed to get done immediately (pick out tile & fixtures, etc.) so he could start as soon as posssible. He told us up front that we might not be able to get the glass doors installed in the new shower before our guests arrived, but, that was easy to work around with a temporary shower curtain. He and his subcontractor Matt were meticulous. They kept a portable HEPA A/C unit running during demolition and each day before they left our house, they cleaned up all dust and debris. They were very quiet and neat even during demolition. The quality of their work was excellent. We asked them to put in two shower niches and to tile them in register with the shower tile and Matt did it beautifully. Jonathan is a master at logistics, which in my opinion is an absolute must if you want to be a good contractor. He had everything where it needed to be when it needed to be there. One more thing we appreciated about Jonathan is that he was easy to get in touch with by email and phone. He orchestrated everything expertly and kept us informed, frequently seeking our feedback. He always had his smartphone in hand and used it to maintain access to whatever information he needed to keep the job moving along. When we asked a question, he answered it immediately. It has been almost six months since the work was done and we are still very happy with our shower--it is beautiful. We highly recommend Affordable Remodeling.

Complete tear out of 1970's gold tiled bathroom with tub. Installed new tile walk in shower and tile floor and baseboard. The contractor went to the extra effort to research three vendors who could supply the exact shower door I wanted, from which I made my choice. I was really impressed that he would go to this extent to provide exactly what I wanted. The contractor took a table I had purchased and converted it to a double sink vanity with a marble top. The contractor removed a linen closet that was in the bathroom with a custom built cabinet including shelves, drawer and cabinet with doors. The contractor was at all times very prompt, courteous and professional. The quality of the workmanship was excellent. The end result is a really wonderful bathroom that I now enjoy using. I originally got three quotes for this remodel and am very pleased with the quality of workmanship. I have recommended Affordable Remodeling Solutions already to several friends and would not hesitate for a minute to have them do additional work on my home.

We hired Jonathan to install a bunch of sheet rock on our ceiling and a couple of small bonus room crawl space doors. First of all Jonathan is very professional, punctual, and a good communicator. The job the did on the sheet rock turned out great but unfortunately the guys he hired to do the work didn't not cover up our floors. We ended up hving drywall dust everywhere, and it completely ruined our hardwood floors! The floors will have to be resanded and refinished. The two garage doors were done OK, although when I first looked at Jonathan's work the doors had silver hinges and gold door knobs. Even though this was a small mistake I thought it highlighted how Jonathan wasn't paying attention to the details, and that is important to me with a contractor. Jonathan did do some work for free, to make up for his guys drywall dust mishap. He hung cabinets and cut our hardwood floor in a straight line where we removed a wall but unfortunately the cabinets were rehung crooked. We barely got our fridge underneath, one side. One side cleared the fridge by less than a quarter of an inch the other side cleared by an inch. Again, the attention to deatail was not there.

He met expectations in the time frame I needed. He was able to take a credit card payment.

I am very happy with his work. There are a few tiny imperfections, but most people probably wouldn't even notice them. I would definitely use his services again. All other estimates for this job were at least $500 more.

These guys did a great job. Very good communicators from estimate to completion. Tile work was flawless and Jonathan and Chris were professional and polite. Never felt upsold or pressured to do costly upgrades or work that wasn't needed (have had that happen with past contractors). Site was left clean every night and Chris even did his best not to be too loud during our baby's nap time every day. Would highly recommend.

I hired Jonathan with Affordable Remodeling Solutions after a very bad experience. I had just paid someone else to remodel my entire master bath. The work was fraught with serious problems, and the whole bathroom was going to have to be gutted and re-built from the studs. After doing my due diligence, I saw the many positive reviews for ARS, and contacted Jonathan. I explained my situation and he came out and looked the bathroom over and gave me a quote, keeping in consideration what I had just gone through and the money I had already paid for a faulty bathroom. Jonathan is very approachable, friendly, fair, and professional. It was a very negative situation I was dealing with, and Jonathan made me feel at ease that he would make it right. The other thing that appealed to me is that he works with a tile guy who does all tile work; he doesn't do it himself. Knowing a real tile expert would be re-doing the job made me feel confident it was going to be done correctly the second time around. The project was completed yesterday, and what I have is the dream bathroom I should have gotten the first time. All of the tile work is meticulous, as is the wainscoting, chair rail, and moldings. The vanity, sink, toilet, and shower system are all installed properly. There is nothing left of the original bathroom, and it's a real delight to walk into my new master bath. It is truly beautiful and Jonathan indeed "made it right", and went beyond to give me exactly what I wanted. If you are waffling on who to hire to remodel your master bath, I can tell you that Affordable Remodeling Solutions is the company to contract with. The quality of their work is unparalleled, and Jonathan makes the entire process painless. You will be very happy with the results you get.

We were really pleased with him. The interaction was good. We don’t have any complaints at all. He was very helpful. He gave us a lot of creative ideas. He went beyond what we had initially envisioned for the space. He was very prompt with the quote and he was very responsive. We got quotes from others. There is a definite possibility that we would work with him.

Overall, it went extremely well. The project was delayed several weeks longer than originally planned because the new vanities did not arrive when we had been told they would. Once they were on hand, however, work began within a week. Jonathan oversaw the work which Michael largely performed on his own. Jonathan was very responsive to requests for other work to be done "while they were already on site" and we felt was very fair in his estimates of cost. Michael made sure to answer all our questions as the work proceeded and to let us know how things were going, what problems he might have encountered, etc. When it came time to address our punch list of things we thought still needed to be addressed (a grouting spot on the tile floor, touch up of some areas of paint on the linen cabinet, etc.), the problems were quickly taken care of. Very professional, hardworking young men who clearly want to make sure their customers are satisfied with their work. Would definitely use again!

This was our third bathroom re-model with Jonathan. The other two were done in a timely, professional manner. However, I was not really happy with the amount of time it took to complete this re-model. We signed the contract on April 12, 2012 (I don't think we actually started until a couple weeks later) and what was supposed to take 15-20 days (written on contract) turned into almost 3 months. This was our smallest bathroom. We had a small leak under the toilet, but that was taken care of quickly and other than that it was probably a typical re-model with no other issues. I feel like Jonathan had over-extended himself with other projects and our bathroom got lost in the shuffle. When Matt (tile guy) finished tiling, the shower door should have been measured and ordered, but, instead it wasn't ordered until 5 weeks later and then we had to wait 2 additional weeks for it to be made. But, overall, the 3 bathrooms turned out beautifully and we're very pleased with them, and we would probably work with Jonathan again.

Jonathan answered all of my questions and referred me to vendors for the tile and fixtures. Matt was GREAT! and was such a perfectionist! Matt was always on time and took time with me to discuss how I wanted the tile laid and bench built. Matt cleaned up every day and even kept a smile on his face after my cat walked through the wet cement on the shower floor! I will certainly call upon Jonathan and Matt again when I'm ready to remodel my second bathroom.

Our experience with Jonathan from Affordable Remodeling Solutions was excellent. Before we even signed the contract with him, Jonathan was very accessible and helpful with my multiple questions. I really appreciated this a lot! His quote was also quite a bit less than other contractors we had bidding on the same job. The final cost of the remodel was very close to the original quote Jonathan gave us. Throughout the entire process, he was professional, responsive, communicative, very positive, and friendly. If any minor problems developed, he addressed it quickly. The "crew" of people he had working here were all very professional, did their jobs well, cleaned up at the end of each day, and were also very pleasant to deal with. All provided good quality work, especially the person who did the tile. We are thrilled with the result and I already have two other jobs in mind that when we are ready, we will most certainly be calling Jonathan and Affordable Remodeling Solutions!

Jonathan was very responsive. The first time I contacted him he explained what he could do for me and was pleasant to talk to. When he arrived to work on my projects he realized he didnt have all of the necessary tools with him that would make the job so much quicker, cleaner, and professional. Most of his tools were with his crews doing other various jobs or in his work truck which was in the shop. He did let me know in advance his truck was in the shop so I was aware of the situation. He tried to remember to bring all of the tools he thought would be needed for the job but after he arrived he realized he was missing a couple things that wouldve made the work so much easier but wouldve probably not had resulted in as good of an outcome. So he apologized, checked through everything that I wanted him to work on for me and we rescheduled the following week for him to come back. He was very genuine about it and wanted to make sure it was done right and I had no problem doing it another day because it was no rush for me and he was willing to work with my schedule during the week. After he came back again he knocked out all of the projects he had promised he would get done even though it took a little bit longer than he expected. Everything looked great. If I ever need additional work done with my house I would certainly give him a call back. He is a very honest guy and was certainly a good choice for my needs.

I’ve been very happy with what they did. I’m going to have them come back and do some more work. They were willing to listen and gave me advice as a professional. I would use them again in the future.

Overall, I would highly recommend Affordable Remodeling. I was anxious about having so much done, however, Jonathan (owner) put me at ease from day 1. He and his team were very professional and the work was done in a very timely manner. If i ever had any questions or concerns, they were addressed immediately. I was never uncomfortable about leaving them here while I ran errands. We were very pleased with the end result! We are planning one more bathroom re-model in April and Jonathan and his team will be here once again. This time I'm not anxious, but excited!!

They just came out looked at the project and gave me a quote. I thought the quote was kind of high. They were nice. I might possible use them in the future.
