I had just moved in, and my water heater and the flooring under it had been inspected and replaced before I did, so my main issue was that my water had started smelling. The plumber who came was really nice --I'm sorry, but I don't remember his name at the moment! -- very professional, courteous and prompt, showing up exactly when he was supposed to. He tested my water and explained that his testing of the water heater and the plumbing showed that everything was within the limits it needed to be -- I don't remember exactly which part of the testing showed him that I needed to chlorinate my well, but it was really good advice, because it stopped the smell (I'd always had city water before). I asked him what he'd do if he lived here, and he said, "Chlorinate the well every month or so" -- it was good advice!

I noticed water coming from the shutoff valve on a Sunday evening. I left voicemails for at least 5 different plumbers and Michael from A H Plumbing was the only one who even called back. He actually tried to walk me through fixing it myself over the phone and when that didn't work he had me Facetime with him so he could have a look at it. We ended up spending over 30 minutes on the phone/Facetime. In the end, the pipe needed to be replaced so he had to send someone out here the next morning, but it was a very nice gesture for him to first try to help me out at no cost. The employee that came by the next morning was on time, very nice and explained everything to me very clearly. He had to cut into my wall, replace part of the pipe and put on a new shutoff valve. When he finished, everything looked great, the toilet flushed without leaking, and I was only out 98 bucks. Without a doubt, the best plumbing experience I've had. I'll definitely be using them again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. It was okay. We ended up spending a lot more money than we had intended on something that, in hindsight, we're not sure we really needed. They looked at everything and then recommended other things that needed to be done. They did not charge more than what was planned but we went with some things that they recommended. The price was a little too expensive. There is only a one year warranty on the float safety device which bugged me a little. They were on time.

I originally had an appointment and they said they didn’t get the right time. We then rescheduled but they showed up at the original time of our first appointment. They said they were unable to come back at the scheduled time. I ended up canceling the deal due to scheduling issues

I was strongly encouraged to replace both toilets. I declined as there was nothing wrong with them.

They did fine installing the shut off valve, installed in about an hour.

He was extremely informative and very knowledgeable. He was so much so that I had a home inspector there that asked him questions and he was more than happy to answer. He was on time, called to check appointment time beforehand, and was extremely friendly.

They were very good. Michael and his crew did a great job. They not only honored the coupon but they also put in replacement parts in a second toilet that needed fixed, they had to come back for the repair. They were very professional and they were knowledgeable. They were very polite as well.

The plumber was prompt, knowledgeable, and willing to explain his findings. I initially hired the plumber to drain the hot water heater for $59 (an Angie's List "deal"). As part of the deal, the plumber checked all the toilets and sinks in the house for leaks. He found one leaky toilet. He also noticed the expansion tank for the hot water heater was no longer functional. He gave me quotes for fixing these additional items and repaired them to my satisfaction. Before leaving, he told me we should have hot water again in 30 minutes. I didn't pay attention to the hot water situation till that evening when my husband and I wanted to take our showers--and there was no hot water! We called the plumber's number at around 9 PM and thankfully there was someone on call who suggested that the pilot light was not lit and offered to send someone out early the next morning to relight it. Later, my husband figured out how to do it himself so we cancelled the appointment. Their responsiveness to solving the problem was excellent.

Lead plumber was thorough and not pressuring re: work. Left decisions up to me after discussion. Respectful of me and my knowledge.

That is where I felt like there was price gouging for sure. He did a great job but I think he was trying to recover for the money that he thought he was losing by offering that deal.

Mike did a good job. Since he had the waterheater empty, I had him change out the drain from plastic to brass.

I found AH Plumbing to be professional and competent. The technician was able to answer all my questions, and was eager to help. He immediately gave me multiple quotes to cover a variety of plumbing issues, but did not pressure me in any way to go with one option or another.

That was a really good experience. The guy pointed out a problem that I wasn't even aware of and he showed me the part that was defective and fixed it. I was pleased with the work. He's very professional but very personable. They seem reasonable.

It went well. They did the work that was on the coupon. Also, they did another task that we paid extra for. They were very appreciative of the fact that additional work could not be done, because of our budget at the time. They gave us estimates for those jobs to be done in the future.

As soon as I purchased the $50 tune-up special and contacted the provider, I got a reply. After a series of email exchanges, we settled on a date and time for the service. My impression so far was positive. On the date of the service, Michael Price showed up, right on time. Throughout the entire process, he was thorough, professional, and informative without being patronizing. (I sometimes have this problem with service providers.) One of the toilets was malfunctioning, so this was the one that got further attention. About a year and a half ago, I had paid another local plumber $265 (!) to replace the entire flush kit on that toilet, and it was already malfunctioning. I couldn't replace it myself because the bolts were rusted in place and I couldn't get them out. It turns out that the other plumber not only had done an inferior job with the replacement, but had replaced the rusty bolts with a set of bolts that were already starting to rust. (They weren't solid brass.) Mr. Price pointed out all the problems, made the necessary repairs, and recommended follow-up for me. While he was in my home, I also got some estimates for other jobs I need to do - all very reasonable prices. I'm pleased with every aspect of the service - Michael Price is my new plumber!

Mike Price was extremely professional and did the work in a timely manner. He explained everything I should look for as it pertains to my toilets potential future leaks. My water heater is 13 years old and although working now, he discussed options (without any pressure to buy) should the water heater stop working in the future. We will definitely use AH Plumbing Services for future plumbing needs

First, the on-site technician, Mike, was very courteous and in general just a really pleasant person to interact with. He gets an A+ for professionalism! The deal I purchased was for the 3 toilets to be checked out and for the installation of a new quiet valve. (I really bought the deal for the quiet valve installation as 1 toilet was leaking but the other 2 were brand new.) Service was performed as expected except the flapper was replaced to address the leaking toilet, instead of the valve. Which is what needed to be done and it fixed the problem! For those that know the cost of a valve vs. a flapper, you'll understand the B rating for the cost. Overall a great experience.

VERY pleased with service. Bought a coupon for a toilet tune-up. Knew I had 2 that needed service. Upon arrival he checked all toilets and then presented me with an itemized list of things that needed to be done. We discussed the ones I would like to do and went from there. No pressure to do all items. Mike was very professional and even took his shoes off before he came into the house!!! Will definitely use again.

I took advantage of a coupon several weeks ago and decided to use A H Plumbing to install a new toilet in the guest bedroom about a week later. Junior was efficient, focus and did not rush through the job. Once again very satisfied with service received from this company.

I will say that it was the actual owner (I believe his name is Mike) who came and did the work - he was very nice, polite, punctual, etc. He also took the time to discuss solutions to other toilet issues, including offering information on products to purchase that could solve my issues.

First, the technician checked all of the toilets to see if there were any problems. One of the upstairs toilets needed a new fill valve and this was installed. Another upstairs toilet needed a replacement flap and this was also installed. The basement toilet was filling up too slowly after flushing and it needed a new fill valve as well. The plumber did not have this on his truck but came back early the next week and installed the valve. We were not charged for a return visit. All went well and the toilets are functioning well. The experience as a whole was very good and the plumbing technician was a pleasant and professional worker.

I received a quote over the phone for the repair 10 days before the repair was to be made. The quote was $300 less than the best quote I had up to then. I found AH Plumbing by searching for a highly rated provider on Angie's List. During that 10 days, on a late Sunday afternoon, the pilot light on the old heater went out and Mr. Price responded to my call the same day by phone and came to relight it before his other jobs the next morning, by 7:30am. I was very happy about this. The job started on time today. It took about 7hours of hard work. Both he and his employee were courteous, respectful and professional. The work-site was left clean. He has to come back yet another time to do a temperature calibration. When the job was done, the bill was exactly as quoted, with no extra fees added on for the emergency call, the extra trip or the extra time it took to install. I am duly impressed, and AH Plumbing is at the top of my list of people to call for any plumbing issues in the future.

They quoted me $1583. I needed it done, so I signed the contract. They said they would install the tub when it was delivered. However, the tub was delivered 4 days early and it sat outside the entire time, unsecured. They were supposed to let me know when the tub was delivered and did not. Once I discovered the tub was delivered, I asked them to come out and install the tub before it was stolen; the owner said they didn't have time. He did come out and look at it, but they left it sit. They didn’t finish the installation of the tub – there was a 2" gap around the tub and now I have to find someone to come out and finish the job. I even received a citation for a violation from Raleigh; my tenant called the city on me and I received a citation for $325. I would use them again to do a small job, not to fix large things.

Went fine. Plumber had suggestions to have city check water content and discussed replacement of water heater. Also suggested we could add a device in house so we have access to hot water more quickly.
