+ 0 moreI sold my house in Huntersville, NC and decided to us 1-800-Pack-Rat instead of a mover since we had to store our belongings for at least 4 months. The two PODS were delivered promptly in Huntersville - we packed them and again promptly picked up. We paid a reason monthly storage fee for our two PODS. When we had a date for move into our new house, I called Customer Service to advise them to move to a storage location in Raleigh. Again they were great to work with and the PODS were shipped to Raleigh. I had the PODS delivered to my new home on 12/3/2013. I cannot say enough about all the people I worked with at Pack Rat - they were so helpful and considerate - plus we saved a lot of money by moving this way. I would recommend Pack Rat to anyone over paying the high price to moving companies. ,
Description of Work: Delivered two PODS on 8/8/13 and 8/12/13, we used their recommended packing and handling service Hire-A-Helper, picked PODS up and took to the Charlotte climate controlled warehouse until we gave them the word to deliver to the Raleigh climate controlled warehouse. We then called them for delivery of the two PODS to our new home on 12/3/13. They delivered the PODS when they told me they would. Great and courteous service by all involved!!

Description of Work: We spoke on the phone and were given a quote on 3 containers to move our household goods to another state. As it turned out we needed more containers than we thought and decided to go with a van line to get everything in one haul. We had to cancel the order and apologized for having to do so. They credited out card and were very gracious and said they understood. If our needs met the criteria, I would definitely use them in a move. When we downsize I would consider them. I will tell people to use them if asked.

+ 0 moreThey brought a storage container and parked it in the driveway and we had our own lock. It is a sealed unit and you can pack it up with your stuff. When you move to your new location they come pick it up and drop it and let you unpack the stuff. They were great. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. The guy who came out dropped that at exactly the right spot. It was great and he was reasonably priced. We could get a lot of things in it and we could lock it every night. We had it for months and so you can take time to move in it. I would use them again. If you want them to store it they would take it to their storage and keep it. I had seen on TV that they have a wall with all this storage units. They came when they said; they picked it up and delivered it. They were prompt in their delivery and pick up.
