They did a great job and they delivered it to my home. The salesperson who sold it to me was very patient and took her time with my questions. I would definitely buy from them again.
Description of Work: I purchased a dryer through them.

I took my hand drawn plans for a dog house and they helped me select materials for it.... from framing it out, to siding and asphalt shingles. The material list was correct and they insured I bought the right amount. They loaded it up and the rest was up to me. Dog house still under construction......

This new insulation is three times more expressive than the fiber glass insulation. Once I submitted the order for insulation, it went to the local Lowe's for them to order. I gave them a couple of days before I called them. Once I called them, they told me that they lost the order! They were pretty quick in getting the actual order to the store once they realized they lost it. After they got all of the insulation in from the manufacture, they shipped it to my house for free. I hired a local business to instal the insulation. Now that they insulation is up, it looks beautiful and it works fabulous.
Description of Work: I went there to buy new roxul insulation.

I had the refrigerator about 3 years when it began to make a strange noise. It got worse over time. Then one day, I noticed what looked like a little bit of mineral deposit in the seam, just below the water disperser in the door. I used my fingernail to remove it. The paint peeled off. It is unbelievable to me that one could possible peel off paint from a 3 year old refrigerater with a fingernail. I called Samsung about both problems. Since the refrigerator was more than 1 year old, they weren't liable. They suggested I get some touch up paint. They could send out a repaireman to check out the noise. The noise, they said, might be caused by a fan. (He would charge $130.00 just to come to my house.) I looked up the price of the fan on the internet. It was less than $50.00. I wandered if I might be able to change it myself. So, I pulled the refrigerator out from the wall to have a look. What I found was compacted dust from 3+ years of accumulation. (I looked in my manual to find no instructions as to cleaning the dust periodically) After vacuuming out the dust, the noise stopped. Prior to finding the solution to the noise, I talked to Lowe's about the possibility of their backing up their product. No such luck. I bought some touch up paint and now feel totally duped. I bought what I believed was a quality product from what should have been a reputable dealership. I am very disapointed.
Description of Work: I bought a new Samsung French Door Refrigerator at Lowe's in 2009. I was so very pleased with the design of the refrigerator, easy to use, and on and on, I recommended it so highly to my sister, who also bought one.

This can be very frustrating. The staff, however, is very nice and helpful. It's not the workers fault management's system they have to work under is so chaotic. Just wish they would put the items at a designated spot so this problem is eliminated.
Description of Work: I usually do online orders to pick up items at the Pittsboro store. Every time I go to pick up my items, I have to wait 30-60 minutes until they find my order or they have to pick the items off the shelves (while I wait) when I ordered it a day in advance.

Except for the heat, it went very smoothly. My advice for anyone about to have such work done is, respect that the guys know what they are doing. They don't need to be instructed. I, as a rule, stayed around the house in the event they needed information from me. These guys were so very considerate and courteous, the only do I can think of is just to be invisible. Lowe's kept in touch and stayed true to their word about any left over material. There was a little extra wood and such that was'n't needed. They came, picked it up and credited me for it. 12/28/11 Update: I ran into some issues with roofing nails. The contractor is where I am voicing some disatisfaction. Lowes has thus far done a fine job of correcting the problems. I had flat tires on my riding lawn mower. I requested the contractor come out and do a resweep of my lawn. I am less than pleased with his attitude. If I had not followed him around and asked him to widen his sweep, he would have stopped at the flower bed in the front yard, saying he didn't find any more. As it turned out, he found many more around the house including the driveway where I park my car. Another issue is the vent that is suppose to be connected to the exhaust above the kitchen stove. It seems they put the wrong type of vent on the roof. They installed an attic vent instead of the correct exhaust vent. It is not in code. My daughter who is an architect spotted this. Do to the holiday rush and other matters, I have not talked to Lowes as yet. Update 4/16/2012 All work has been complete to my satisfaction. Lowes has backed up their work very well.
Description of Work: I bought the roofing material from Lowe's . They sent someone out to estimate the amount of material needed. Meanwhile, I contacted the original builder of my house to see how much material he had used. Lowe's estimate was exactly the same. He was extremely courteous and professional. One of their contractors contacted me to set up a date for the job. The contractor was Reality Renovations. the names of the men who did the job were, Chris Daniels, Steve Dupree, Mike Dyson, and Kurtz Griffith. They traveled to Pittsboro from Smithfield. The job began during the time we had incredibly hot days. It was over 100 degrees most of the time. Those men refused to let the heat stop their work. Since it was so dangerously hot in the later part of the day, they began to come around 7:00. I had asked them to do that because I was concerned for their safety. Their travel time was about 2 hours. They came and worked beautifully together until they got it done. Then, they cleaned up everything - including all stray nails. I was so impressed with their work ethic.

The issue is that the contracted repair service only comes out during the week between 9am and 4pm. For those of us that work, it is hard to take time off work to be at home. It has taken 5 different attempts to coordinate the repair apointments and now 4 days off from work because the contract service will only give us a range of available times to come. On 2 occasions the contract service called Lowes to cancel, but Lowe's did not call us to let us know. So...we sat at home waiting, missing a day of work, only to find out that the contractor had cancelled. When we called Lowes to complain about the contactor cancelling and no one contacting us to let us know, no one, even up many levels of managers cared about our dilemma. So, tommorrow I will be sitting waiting at home, leaving work early again, hoping the repair man shows up, hoping that he will finally fix the refrigerator, and then going back to work again. Both my husband and I work in medicine and it is not easy taking time away from patients. We will NEVER ever buy anything again from Lowes. They are uncaring and have a management team that is not in touch with the American family. They should provide appliance repair contractors that work off hours and on Saturdays for those of us (more than half of America) that have 2 people that have to work and can't afford to take the days off waiting hours for repair men to arrive. From what I understand from talking to friends and family, this is routine practice for Lowes.
Description of Work: We bought a Whirlpool refrigerator at Lowe's. Since the day we bought it (February 2011) water has been leaking from the water dispenser. it is a lsow leak but requires us to place paper towels underneath the dispenser to keep it from leaking onto the floor. We notified Lowes about one month after the purchase when we realized that it wasn't our fault that water kept accumulating in the small tray below the dispenser. The refrigertor is still under warranty for one year from purchase. My husband called a plumber to make sure that the water line that was connected that served the refrigerator was not at fault. The plumber cost us $200 to come out, get under the crawl space and check the line. It was fine and working correctly according to the plumber. He made a few adjustments which he said may work to correct the problem, but it did not. Since April we have had a contracted company hired by Lowes come and change filters inside the refrigerator and check the water supply line. The water supply line was fine as the previous plumber discovered also. The contracted repair man is coming out once more to change another filter tommorrow.

The quote was reasonable. It included the door and installation. One guy told us one thing and another guy told us another. We were charged $35.00 for the guy to come and make sure we had a certain step. He had to make sure he didn't have extra materials. They charged us the $35.00 and then said that would come off the price of the door. When my husband bought the door, they never took the $35.00. They also told us they wouldn't charge any taxes, which they didn't.
Description of Work: I went to Lowe's for a quote to have a front storm door installed.

We had checked other stores and we found that Lowe’s offered a competitive price. The salesperson was good. He was very helpful at explaining the units and stuff. Pittsboro is about 25 miles from our house and I asked him if Lowe’s would deliver it for us, and it was within their delivery area. They delivered as per schedule. We were in Pittsboro on a Saturday and they delivered the product on a Monday. The cost of delivery was included in the price. We were just very happy with them. It was one of those things that you stumble on - I would probably use them again. I would rate them highly.
Description of Work: We were having lunch during a tour of the brewery in Pittsboro, and right next door was a Lowe’s store. We walked in and bought a washer/dryer which was mid-sized and top-loading and not a bottom-of-the-line product.
