They came out and cleaned and inspected the chimney of a rental house we own. The fireplace had not been used in years, and we wanted to make sure it was safe. This chimney did not have an internal damper, and they quoted us a stainless top cap that could be open and closed via a chain. This would prevent heat from going out the flue when not in use. Also protect from entrance of critters, etc. They came out as scheduled, and installed the cap for the price quoted. I was satisfied with their professionalism and promptness.

The guys showed up on time as planned and performed work. Actually had them clean two additional chimneys (total of 3) while here and they were able to accommodate the request. They were very professional and did a good job. On a separate note I wanted some additional work done like a new crown and top-mount damper and asked for a quote. I went through two revisions of the quote. Then I asked for line item detail for pricing and specifics for what sizes were going to be used and never received a response. Overall they did a very good job with the chimney cleaning.

I think that they did a great job. They were very punctual, and they protected our floors whenever they came through and did the work. They got on the roof and were very good about taking a look of our issues. Their receptionist was very realistic about when we could get a good appointment, and I had no issues with anything. They said that they would be there at the time they were there. Their price was comparable.

I had these guys come out and do an inspection on my chimney and firebox before using the fireplace. They showed up on time, did a thorough inspection, and made some safety recommendations. I would definitely use Chimneys Plus again.

Very professional from the admin person at the office to the guys that came out for the repair. It took two trips because they had to order a part. They kept their appointments and confirmed prior to coming out.

The two gentlemen who came were extremely careful about keeping our home clean while they cleaned the chimney. They were on time and were very polite. They explained what they saw with the camera to us. We were very pleased with the service from start to finish.

The service men arrived right on schedule. They completely covered the working area around the fireplace with drop cloths. The wore shoe covers at all time while in our home. They did a very thorough job of cleaning the chimney. They also used a video camera to inspect the chimney for any damage. When they were finished they provided a a written summary of the condition of the chimney. Chimney cleaning has the potential to create a mess in the house. This didn't happen at all--they did a outstanding job and there was no trace any grime from their work. In addition the two young men who did the work were courteous and professional. I plan to use Chimney Plus on a regular basis.

It went very well. They kept the area they were working in covered so our furniture and carpet did not get dirty. Very professional. the only glitch we had was the chimney cap was not ready on time but when it was ready they came back and installed it.

The sweep was scheduled for 10 am, but the workers were running a bit late, so they called well ahead of time to let me know their expected arrival time. They put down drop clothes to catch any soot, wrestled the stove out of position and cleaned the chimney from the top and the bottom. No muss. No fuss. They cleaned up so well that you would never have known they had been there. Very satisfied!

Before servicing my fireplace had all the charm of looking at your broiler. Afterwards the look was much better.

The company was professional and friendly on the phone, gave a precise date and time for the service, and called one day prior to confirm the appointment. The two employees who came out to our house were friendly, careful with our furniture, clean and considerate. They explained in detail what they had done and provided me with images of damage they found and an estimate and honest opinion of future repairs and improvements.

I spoke with Charlie on the phone and he was very informative and patient at describing my chimneys issues, the repair process, and answering my questions. The entire team at Chimneys Plus is very knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend them as a reliable and trusted company.

I have a large stucco chimney about 2 ft by 6 ft at the top. The original chase cover did not extend over the stucco and was allowing some water penetration. The chimney is in the middle of a steeply pitched roof, and extends about 12 feet above the roof. I contacted several contractors and most were reluctant to tackle the job because of the risk factor. GuttersPlus offered to install a stainless steel cover at a very fair price. I was in the process of having the roof re-shingled and was working on a tight schedule to get the chimney cover installed. Charlie Quaile, the owner of GuttersPlus in Pittsboro, NC, took it upon himself to come out and measure the chimney, order the new cover and install the cover before the roofer completed his work. He also repainted the existing flue cover which was starting to rust. It was a pleasure to work with Charlie, and to see him walking around on top of the chimney as he did his job. I would recommend GuttersPlus for any chimney work you might need. If Charlie can’t do it, I’m sure he would tell you and recommend someone who could.

Overall work, employees and total experience was EXCELLENT.

Called to schedule and Debbie was able to schedule next day. Alex and Clarence arrived promptly at scheduled time and were very cordial and professional. They wore booties in the house and used protective floor covers which resulted in absolutely no residual dirt or dust once the job was done. They cleaned and inspected stove and chimney and provided a summary report. The service also included a dryer vent check which was most reassuring as we had cleaned the vent pipe ourselves recently but had no way to assess the flow rate. We have used this company for years and the service is always excellent from scheduling to job completion.

It went great. The people were on time, very friendly, informative, knew exactly what they needed to do. They also got back to me promptly regarding the second job. They are overall great communicators.

.I haven't had the work done yet but I think we will move forward with it within the next month or so. They did a nice job explaining what they were going to do and had a reasonable price.

Charlie Quaile was very professional and helped determine a good stove for my home without pressuring me to buy. After several months of comparing stoves I decided to go with Charlie's company, Chimneys Plus. Fire safety was my biggest concern. I had never used the older Majestic prefab as a wood burning fireplace and decided to install LP gas logs after we built over 20 yrs ago. The older unit was not efficient and I was always concerned about using the prefab as a wood burning fireplace even though it was rated for wood burning use. I wanted the unit installed by experienced chimney sweeps to ensure proper safety of unit and performance. ChimneysPlus had the most experience in the industry and had a good track record locally. I have been enjoying my stove now for over 3 months. The unit performs well as a supplement to my HVAC system but is too low in BTUs to be used as a stand alone heat source on those 3 dog nights when the temp drops in the low 20s. Charlie addressed this concern during the selection and wanted me to know that the expectations of a smaller stove should be considered. The installation in an existing prefab limited my selection and BTU output. Buck Stove is North Carolina company and the quality of construction is very good. Unfortunately the model selected did not qualify for the energy tax credit, but the unit is still considered a high efficiency stove by the EPA and Wood Stove Industry.

I recently purchased my house and needed the chimney inspection. After having Chimney Plus come out I feel much better about not only using my chimney but the future life of my chimney. The gentlemen that performed the work were honest, courteous and completed the job quickly. I should also mention they were very clean, right from the get-go they were wearing covers on their shoes and laying down sheets to make sure my floors and carpets stayed clean. One of the things I liked most about their service was the fact that they weren't trying to upsell me on services I don't need. One of the gentlemen informed me the top-most metal portion of my chimney was rusting a bit, but instead of trying to get me pay an replace it immediately, he was honest and told me it was causing no real risk at the moment. I would highly recommend chimney plus if you need your chimney to be cleaned and/or inspected.

They were very quick to respond and very professional. They quickly sent us the estimate through e-mail. We got it within a day or two. It was for $200 for one chimney sweep. We ended up going with a different company that was less expensive and higher rated on Angie's List.
