Aspire Transitions

Description of Work: Unpacking 180 cartons, packed by movers placing contents in closets, cabinets, pantry, laundry room and garage, hanging approximately 50 pictures.

Description of Work: Aspire Transitions was hired to move an elderly client from a two bedroom, two bath home to a two room apartment. I can't say enough about this company, the owner, Vicki Parks and all of the crew. Vicki has a gift for working with older clients and that was evident as she helped my mother through a stressful, downsizing move. She offered advice about furniture choices and placement in the new living situation in a non-judgemental and respectful way, never insisting but only suggesting. As a result my mother was able to more easily let go of things that did not fit on move day (which Vicki's crew cheerfully put back on the truck) and the experience was very much easier than she expected. In addition Vicki was able to schedule a drop off of items for a sibling who lives locally and to come back a week later and help pack two trucks carrying items to my home and that of another sibling. Although my siblings and I chose to do most of the packing, Vicki supplied all packing materials and boxes and came several days before the move to help pack the most fragile items. The costs varied as there were essentially three clients each requiring slightly different services. Having hired movers a number of other times I felt that the charges were fair and competitive. Vicki and her crew are cheerful, polite and exceeding careful. For example, when I cautioned one of the crew about taking care of a fragile box, the reply was "we treat everything as if it were fragile." And they do!
