FRY NURSERY & LANDSCAPING SVC

For landscaping services and mulching and stuff like that, we go to Fry Nursery. During last Fall, they did landscaping for us. My wife probably would speak better to that, but I know that she is absolutely in love with them. So, an A straight through. If somebody doesn't deserve an A all the way down, there's plenty of other providers, so then we go to somebody else. Yes, we plan to use them again in the future.

Owner and designer Richard Fry walked around my property with me, listening attentively, taking notes, and giving expert advice to help me think through the possibilities for establishing a wildlife-friendly, privacy-creating, neighbors-screening, mountain-view maintaining arrangement of native trees and shrubs. I had used the extension service's web resources to research native and Southern plants, and we used my list of desired plants as a starting point: he was able to clarify which would work in particular parts of my property and tell me, when some were proving troublesome for our area, what would be better alternatives. Because of his extensive knowledge, this multi-functioning installation also includes four-season interest (flowers, berries and nuts, bark textures, aromatic blooms and aromatic seedpods). The physical design he provided me included a large, panoramic photograph of my property, clearly marking the locations of the proposed plantings. I found this presentation made it much easier to envision the final result than would a traditional landscape plan's birds-eye view. After the planning phase, I opted to order and purchase the plants from the Fry Nursery, and I further opted to have them install them rather than install them myself. On the first day of no rain (it seemed like monsoon season!) after the plant arrived at the nursery, the crew delivered the plants and the various soil amendments. While they were unloading, Mr. Fry arrived to direct the precise positioning of the plants in their location as indicated on the design, making aesthetic and practical adjustments along the way according to the natural irregularities of the actual terrain and the relative sizes of the actual plants. The after-installation care and watering instructions are very clear, and two weeks have passed since the installation. Things look great! I can't wait to see how the plants respond and grow when spring comes.
