Kale Lawn Care

When reaching out to Kale Lawn Service Jeff was responsive and came out to give us an estimate within days. During our meeting, he did mention that he would want to get fertilizer down pretty quickly, so to let him know shortly after we got the estimate if we wanted this service. He provided estimates quickly, and we signed up with monthly service which seemed to be pretty comprehensive. They did not put down fertilizer as they said, we had to follow-up and ask for it which we shouldn't have to do since the service was supposed to include it. We were told they would put pine needles down but they were a no-show. After they didn't show we gave them some time thinking maybe they got behind, but never came or contacted us to let us know. I spoke with Jeff and informed him and requested that we change to mulch he said he would "bump us to the top of the list". We were told to wait 2 weeks for the mulch, no show, then an email saying we were bumped again, by the time we canceled service we still do not have mulch. The mowing, this was the big problem. The guys showed up every week and sped around our yard, but the mowing was very inconsistent. The results were really patchy areas of tall grass that didn't seem to have been even touched. Some cases the grass had grown so tall it sprouted, but when they were done it wasn't even touched. Also, they went the same direction every week and we could see tracks in our yard left from their machine. I don't mean striping or patterns in the grass, I mean tracks/ruts in our yard. My husband reached out to Jeff and sent pictures of the quality of work and the concerns. He said he would talk to the guys, but service never improved so we canceled. All in all service was pretty costly considering what we got.

I couldn't be happier. Jeff sent his crew out the day after I gave him a verbal confirmation to do the work. His crew cut my grass and sprayed weed killer. Just this past week his guys performed all the landscaping that I requested. I would't use anyone else. I highly recommend Jeff. Tops on Angie's List or any other list.

Jeff Kale met with us throughout the project, both for the driveway project and then for the larger backyard project. His crews were great and easy to work with. The quote was what the pricing was and no overage charges. Completely satisfied and very much would not only use them again, but highly recommend to friends and family.

I called Jeff Kale around 8:30am and heard back before 9:45am. He couldn't help me with what I needed for our service, but he was very professional, responsive, and provided me with another person who may be able to assist with what I need. I will certainly reach out to Kale Lawn Care for future services. Anyone that responsive with such a great customer service attitude deserves the business.

My wife and I were very pleased with Jeff's punctuality and professionalism right off the bat. Jeff returned my call within one hour of submitting an estimate request and was at my house within 48 hours to provide an estimate. His vision for our front yard matched exactly with what we were hoping to accomplish. The work was performed ahead of schedule as well, which was pretty amazing given the time of the year and how busy I'm sure these guys are. The crew onsite was very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend Kale Lawn Care to anyone looking to do some landscaping and we'll be using them again this fall as we work to convert our front yard from bermuda to fescue.

He did an absolutely spectacular job. There is no comparison between before and after -- we have improved our curb appeal about 1000%. His workers are professional, timely and friendly. His prices are reasonable. I would recommend him highly.

The need I had was a strong man or two to help me transport a large machine from my vehicle into my home. Although Jeff was short handed and very busy he made time to come over and help me out. Now how many people would be that caring of their customers that they will go out of their way to help someone in need even if it doesn't require their expertise? I love it that I have such caring people providing my lawn care. Thank you Jeff and staff!

Jeff and his guys are outstanding. He is prompt, professional, and provides excellent service. I would recommend Jeff and his company to anyone. We have been a customer for over a year now and are very happy with everything. Jeff is about the only contractor in Charlotte that we have had zero issues with.

Kale Lawn Service employed a sub-contractor for this commodity service. They were on time and cordial. A two man team had my 1/8 acre (@5,600 sq. ft. of theoretical lawn) including front, back and 2 side yard strips totally done in 20 minutes. The property has some funny spaces trapped by the driveway, sidewalk, and shared property line. These were accomplished thoroughly and without mishap. My review is eight weeks after the service was performed so I may include the 'so far' results, which are good. The first week of December the front yard is plush with new growth including 100 sq. ft. of new grass area. The backyard, which was virtually fallow, due to this years harsh summer, has at least sprouted 75-80%. The front I have already mowed twice since seeding. The back I have not mowed (not needed), but have blown leaves off and trying to avoid trampling during incubation. I was concerned that the aerator machine made holes in the turf but no 'turf plugs' or only stubby 'plugs' . This was the most I have spent on aeration/seeding at one go. I guess I can raise my review to all A's next spring when hopefully the back yard "comes in fully". Results are what I am judging by. Kale Lawn Service has provided some re-grading service for me previously. I selected the best commented company I could find on the "List". I have a high expectation.

EXCELLENT!!!!! Jeff and team came out to survey the area and give a price. It ended up being a bit more work than originally expected but they stayed with the quote and did all that they said they would do. They were prompt, courteous and professional. They even stayed in touch with me through all the rain we had in October/November which caused the project to be delayed a few times. This was not Jeff's fault it was just poor timing of the much needed rain in Charlotte. I would recommend these guys to anyone who want a job well done and service with a smile. Great team, Great work.

I have recently had my lawn aerated, seeded, and fertilized by this company. First of all, Jeff and his staff were courteous and polite. If there were delays due to weather etc, they were prompt in advising us of changes in schedule. Finally, the job they did for us-was done with care and excellence. I would highly reccomend giving this company a call for any services.

I contacted Jeff for a quote and some suggestions of how to get my yard back into good shape after a summer of trying to maintain it by myself and he sent someone out within a couple of days to look at everything and speak with me about. We agreed on a monthly service contract for the essentials and extras for pine needles, aerating and seeding. Jeff's guys have come out when promised and done an excellent job. He has also been very responsive to questions and concerns and great to work with. Highly recommended if you don't want the hassle of keeping your yard up!

My yard looks amazing! People have been stopping to compliment us on how beautiful it looks! What a huge difference! Jeff is great! He came up with a great design and when I was not sure about a certain plant he gave me other options. So easy to work with and so knowledgeable. He and his crew show up when they say they will and are polite and courteous. After the project was done, Jeff came back and walked the project and when he saw something that he didn't think was perfect, he pointed it out and is having his crew come back and fix it! We will be using Kale again. Once you start beautifying you just want to keep going!

Three men arrived Friday morning as agreed and came prepared with 3 machines to core aerate our .6 acre lot. The plug size was good and they were in and out in 30 minutes. Compared to our neighbor's aerating and the last company we used, Jeff's crew did a MUCH better job. We are very pleased and will use them again next year for sure!

Contacted Jeff and scheduled tree trimming. Trees were way too high for me to climb, so contacted Kale Lawn Care and was easy as 123. Fast scheduling, great work and awesome communication. Arrived on scheduled day and time (1/2 hr early). Got right to work. Crew verified work to be performed and before I got back into the house they were already at it. They removed all the branches that were discussed, plus a few more that we thought needed to be trimmed. Fast , reliable company. Will use again.

They are attentive, work hard to make our yard look great! We just moved here and the yard was more dead spots and weeds than grass. Jeff came to the house,laid out options and we chose sod. Now our yard is beautiful!

Jeff's crew did a fantastic job even though they were stung by yellow jackets lurking in the ground. They had to come back a 2nd time after the yellow jackets were eradicated. All the wood was removed and hauled away. The creek area looks 100% better!

A couple years ago Jeff Kale's company bull-dozed my weedy lawn and planted zoysia turf. After two harsh winters and ultra hot summers I was not very happy with the results. Last year and this year I consulted (and I admit, complained) to Jeff about the yard's unsightly condition. Jeff was always available to answer the call or promptly returned my call. He continued to work with me and gave the lawn a "micro-nutrient" blast. Lately, the turf looks nice and green and in nice shape for another very hot summer. Jeff is a man of his word and will do what needs to be done to make things right even though nature isn't always on his side.

Nice work - reasonable pricing

It went really well. It was a big job and Jeff was personally involved to make sure it went off without a hitch. We had our share of challenges with weather, material, etc but he was able to deliver a finished product that we're extremely happy with. We look forward to using Jeff and his again for all of our landscaping needs.

Jeff Kale's crew is always dependable and professional. They maintain our yard beautifully. We've used Kale Lawn Care for 3 1/2 years and have never been displeased. On top of that Jeff and his dad (who does some handy work) are wonderful people! They call you back right away if you have a question or concern and are extremely helpful. We just bought a home and called Jeff for some referrals on jobs we needed helped with. I was very pleased that he could help us with most of what we needed. Best of all Jeff cares about saving you money which you don't find very often in a business owner. I give Jeff an A+++++++++++++++

I couldn't be happier with Kale Lawn Care!! We have used them for about a year and I have NEVER had a problem with their service...They are professional and highly skilled...our lawn has NEVER looked better...We have used other lawn services in the past and they pale in comparison to Kale Lawn Care. I am in no way related to them, nor was I asked to write this review. I would HIGHLY recommend them for lawn care. They have applied mulch, aerated, fertilized and overseeded our lawn, trimmed bushes...all with incredible results. They have even recommended lower priced services when i requested higher priced services due to the season and the intended results...I can't say it enough...HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Called Jeff, he came over on time, and took a look at what we had. He recommended we go with Zoysia turf and got us on the schedule. Installers came by, on schedule and installed the sod. We kept it watered and it grew in nicely. Jeff came by to check it gave us some additional thoughts on maintenance. They will be doing the weed and feed for us through out the year to keep it looking great. Would absolutely use Kale Lawn Service for anything in the future. Our neighbors were impressed and will most likely use them in the future as well. Thanks Jeff!
