Kale Lawn Care

I reached out to several highly recommended lawn services on Angie's list and Kale was the first to respond. I've been using this service for several weeks and really like the flexibility of being able to be taken off the weekly schedule if necessary. Jeff has responded to all questions and concerns immediately over email Overall, I'm very pleased with his service and plan on regularly using his company for work. This company has delivered on price, response time, quality, professionalism, and punctuality.

Our homeowner's association hired Kale Lawn Care for a one time cutting at our premises. Due to an unexpected emergency with our previous lawn care provider, our HOA needed to hire a new provider fairly quickly. We interviewed several vendors and each one had a one time opportunity to cut our grass so we could get an idea of the job they do and the price they charge. I cannot say enough good things about owner Jeff Kale - he is punctual, professional, and extremely customer driven. On very short notice, he was able to get his crew out to our property to cut our grass, which was well overgrown. After his crew completed their work, the premises looked great - very neat and well groomed, with no branches, litter or grass clippings to be found. Even though our HOA board did ultimately vote to hire a different provider (who had a lower annual price) for our landscaping needs, I would not hesitate to call Kale Lawn Care in the future. Jeff epitomizes customer service and professionalism and I appreciate the work their crew did for us during a difficult period for our HOA - thank you Jeff!

We have searched for over five years for a lawn care/maintenance company we could actually depend on to do the work they contracted to do in the way they contracted to do it. We had about given up when we found Jeff Kale at Kale Lawn Care. My husband and I own a roofing company - and three dogs. We take the dogs to work everyday with us, but try to keep the weekends free for family time, so it's pretty important to us that our yard guy does his work during the work week, like we do, instead of trying to work at our house on Saturday when we are home and our dogs want to be in the yard. Every other lawn company we have used has agreed to work at the house during the week, but has always ended up, unannounced, in the yard with the dogs barking or being let loose on a Saturday or, even worse in one case, on Sunday. Jeff's guys come during the week, as promised, when we are at work, so that when we come home the yard, drive, patio, walks all look great. I LOVE Wednesdays! Sadly, unlike many in Charlotte, our yard is mostly treed with pine and sweet gum trees, so there is all manner of tree garbage a lot of the time. Every other lawn company we have used has promised to remove the debris from the yard and beds and haul it away - for a price, of course, to which we have happily agreed because we mean to maintain our home and actually would like for our yard to look nice. Every one of these companies has ended up blowing all the debris into the beds, behind the garage or behind a shed. Jeff Kale is the only one who has ever fulfilled that part of the agreement. Nobody is perfect, of course, but when we have had questions or concerns about the way things were being done, we addressed them with Jeff directly and he has always been responsive. He returns phone calls in a reasonable time frame, which, itself, is something most contractors could (and should) certainly learn to do. In short, he runs his business like my husband and I try to run our own...like it IS his business, not a hobby, not some favor he's doing you, not a burden. We are happier with Kale Lawn Care than we have ever been with any other lawn care/maintenance company. We can't recommend Jeff Kale and his company highly enough.

I can't say enough good things about Jeff and I highly recommend him. His service has been wonderful and very consistent and our yard has never looked better. Grass is growing where it once would not and the weeds our previous service could not kill are now gone. He is very easy to get in contact with, very professional and very attentive to our needs. He has always gone above and beyond what we expected. If you want your lawn to look its best, then you can't go wrong with Kale Lawn Care.

Jeff was fantastic. He was very responsive and provided a very timely estimate. The work was scheduled promptly and completed in one day. The whole experience was great. I was so happy with the results. We decided to save some money by doing the pine needles ourselves and that is all that is missing from our lawn. Jeff listened to what I wanted (i.e. the Japanese maple was to provide some privacy in our screened in porch) and provided us the PERFECT tree! I am so happy that the horrible monkey grass and timbers are gone. My yard looks beautiful!!!!! I will definately use Jeff again!

Outstanding customer service and quality of work. Jeff is beyond responsive, typically responding to calls or emails in just a matter of minutes. He has been more than willing to spend the time with us, coming out to our house off hours and upon request, to make sure we are getting the type of service we want and to ensure that we are receiving the level of customer service that we expect. Jeff is very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. I couldn't provide a higher recommendation. Oh, and our lawn looks great as well.

They were thorough, on time & professional. It was a great experience.

I called and asked them to come out and give me an estimate on lawn care and maintenance. He said he would be there at 4:00 P.M. on thursday. he called 45 minutes before appointment and canceled saying that he does not do work in that area. I took off of work early to meet with him. This is not professional. He should have told me when I first called him.

Jeff was at our appointment promptly to go over our project. Turned around the quote fast. Started treatments. Did the install of Azaleas when he said. Cleaned up. After he finished we needed on azaleas moved and Jeff was there two hours later and took care of it. The whole process was painless and the results are fantastic!

This company was responsive, called me back, came out made recommendations and made it all too affordable for me to say no. I typically do most of the lawn maintenance myself. When I found out they were using the same professional grade products I purchase (Lesco) and were charging me less for the product and the application, I got excited because I was dealing with knowledgeable professionals who didn't try to steer me into something I didn't need or want. The provided an excellent service. Told me what to purchase, when and how much to apply and also allowed me to call them if I want them to come and treat my lawn when I don't have the time. I sent Jeff an email on Sunday night and he responded within a few minutes. He came over to our home the next day and provided a detailed quote by email that afternoon. Jeff patiently answered all of our questions and walked us through our options. His crew was very professional and worked hard to finish the job, which included lots of leaf removal and trimming all shrubs. Jeff came by later that day to inspect the work and called us in the evening to make sure that we were happy. We let Jeff know that some areas had been missed and Jeff and his crew came back the next morning to finish cleaning up. Our yard looked great and it saved us countless hours of work. We have hired him to do more work for us and highly recommend Jeff Kae.

just a few days later his people showed up exactly when Jeff said they would and performed the work to my satisfaction. When Jeff came back that night to reinspect he found items he wanted done even more (more mulch) in certain areas - he brought the crew back in a day to add the extra mulch to my landscaping. He really went above and beyond what I would have EVER expected from his team. Things went so well I am having him work up additional pricing for my Masonic Lodge - and Kale will also be servicing my lawn during the summer for its regular seeding/fertilizer/mowing.

I emailed Jeff some basic info through the Angie's List website on a Saturday evening. He responded within a few minutes and said he would like to come by and look at the yard and provide an estimate. I called him on Mon morning, and he came out Monday afternoon. He provided a throrough quote, and was professional to deal with. We set up work for the following Monday. A 3 person team showed up Monday morning and spoke with my husband about the specifics and worked about 3 hours straight to finish the job - no slacking off or smoke breaks. Most importantly, they did a good job.

As we have bigger yard I wanted to find a lawn care vendor who could help me with my yard from A to Z. I narrowed my selection of vendors to call to about 5 from Angies List and contacted them. As I have found in the past with lawn care vendors, I only recieved a call back from 2 of the 5 vendors. This surprised me because the 3 who did not call me back were rated high on Angies List. At worst the other vendors should of contacted me to let me know they were busy at the time. JEFF KALE called me back promptly and set up a visit to go thru services he could provide from A to Z and he was totally flexible in helping me get my yard looking great. His prices are reasonable and his service is fantastic. I have used him for moving, leaf removal, mulching and landscaping and his work is prompt, price reasonable and they do a great job! A great combination. I would recommend KALE LAWN CARE to anyone. Great job!

I found Jeff Kale on Angie's List and was very impressed with his responsiveness. He called me right back on a Sunday to let me know he would give me a call on Monday when he was back in the office. He came out right away to take a look at the yard and gave me an estimate and I decided to hire his company for biweekly lawn service. I had some problems with the second service, it was a very windy day and some leaves had blown back into the yard. The workers had misunderstood the services that were to be preformed. I sent Jeff and email and he got back to me right away and had his crew out the next day to straighten things out. The lawn looks great and I can throw my rake away! I am so impressed with Jeff's responsiveness, it's a pleasure to deal with Kale Lawn Care.

I found Kale Lawn Service on Angie's List and called. Jeff was out the next day to discuss the job and we had a price by the afternoon. He was very helpful as we discussed plants, what we could do with the existing ones and new ones to fit into the landscape. The crew came out on the scheduled day right on time. They worked with us as we talked about making minor adjustments. No problems. They did the job quickly and professionally. We are extremely happy with the work, the price and the professional work ethic displayed by the entire crew. I would recommend Kale Lawn Service and plan to continue using this company.

I engaged Jeff in late August to initiate regular weekly yard maintenance services. My yard was not in great shape to start. I had maintained it myself over the past two years and let it deteriorate to poor condition. Jeff assured me that he and his team would be able to turn it around as well as provide me timely, highly responsive customer service. To paraphrase his words, he said he would do anything to make us happy. Although his quote came in as the highest I received, I was more concerned about quality and liked his enthusiasm and promised dedication. He has since come by and performed many services as a part of my "all-in" monthly agreement, including (but not limited to) pruning my bushes, edging my beds and paths, spraying for weeks, aerating and seeding my yard for new grass, blowing leaves, and picking up trash. His guys are thorough and if I need extra attention, they always come back out within 24 to 48 hours. Long story short, we have pushed him aggressively to get our yard into decent shape as we have a party approaching soon for our two year old son where lots of family and friends will be at our house. He has gone the extra mile and even re-scheduled our normal service from Wednesday to Friday this week so we could see less leaves on the ground for the party. For what he provides, the price is good. I would rate him among the best and top of his competitors for service and quality.

I called and spoke with Mr. Kale about doing some work for me and he came out within a few days. He was very nice and professional and gave me a quote of around $600 for the work I needed to have done. He told me that at the time (mid-September), he had about a 3 week wait time and I understood as it was right in the middle of aeration and overseeding season. I killed bermuda grass on the side of the house where Kale Landscaping was to do the work and needed to wait anyway for it to take but I wanted the work done before we aerated and seeded our property. It is now November 2nd and I am still waiting for Mr. Kale to contact me to schedule the work....needless to say, he either forgot me or my work was just not important enough to schedule.

It went well. Jeff is very professional and easy to work with. I would use them again and would recommend them to friends or neighbors.
