I would like to give Jose, Nathan and their staff a 10 of 5 stars! Jose was always extremely prompt with his proposals and as soon as the materials arrived, they started the work within a day or two. The hardwood floors and custom stairways look gorgeous and their workmanship is perfect. The installation of the travertine was impeccable. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company. Kind, professional, caring, perfect workmanship and very reasonable prices. Very highly recommended as you can see. Thanks Jose! You're the best.

I contacted J Wood Flooring through their website to request an estimate to install hardwood floors in my upstairs hallway. I promptly received a call the next morning to set up an appointment to have one of his guys come out and measure the space. The worker (I forget his name) showed up to measure at the agreed appointment time. He took measurements and we discussed the job. I even told him that I would also like an estimate to refinish my stairs and hand railing. We also discussed timing as I had expressed that I wanted to have this done before October 1. All went well and I was told that I should expect the estimate in a day or two. It has now been a week and I haven't heard a word from anyone...no calls, no emails...nothing. I know that I could call and check but I don't feel like I should have to be the one to follow up. I had high hopes for J Wood Flooring based on their reviews, but am very disappointed with their lack of communication. UPDATE: I am little offended that the response from J Wood tried to turn this around to make it look like I didn't listen or "heard what I wanted to hear". I walked up to Jose's car as he was leaving and specifically asked him when i could expect the estimate. He told me "probably sometime Friday". This was told to me on a Wednesday. I asked the question so I had some kind of expectation. I realize that it was Labor Day weekend, and I gave a couple of days beyond when I was told to "expect" the estimate before writing the review of my experience. Also, I used the word "worker" because I simply didn't remember Jose's name at the time. I never implied that he was subcontracted. And as far as these quotes: " Third, and most important, this is the only contact we have received from him since we did the measure (yes, I know I am repeating this line for emphasis and it is a bit cliché, but I think it works in this case)." I expected THEM to contact ME with an estimate. I didn't realize that getting an estimate required me to follow-up with them. "He didn?t mention anything about having a requirement to get the quote within a certain amount of time so we were still under the impression that as long as we were able to complete his project by 10/1 he would be happy." I feel like it was a little arrogant for them to say this. Yes...I said I would like to have the work completed by 10/1, but they were not the only estimate I was getting, as I wanted to get several in order to make an educated decision. Although J Wood Flooring wrote the expansive response to my review, they still never contacted me and I never did receive an estimate. I am not berating the work that they do, but just honestly reviewing based on my experience and the lack of communication.

The whole process was efficient and professional. Communication was great and the installers were very professional. The floor looks great!

Magnificent job from start to finish. Utmost attention to quality workmanship. The entire installation team was impressively focused and efficient plus a real pleasure to have in our home for the 7 days to complete the project. This company cares about delivering on their promises of high quality which is evident from everyone involved. Job site was left neat and orderly each day plus daily updates kept us fully informed. The team was always helpful explaining what they were doing and made several tremendously worthwhile suggestions that enhanced the final result. The full project was delivered as promised, on schedule and on budget. Would highly recommend J Wood Flooring.

From start to finish, I had a fantastic experience with J Wood Flooring. I visited their showroom in Pineville and met Nate, one of the owners, who was so knowledgeable about the flooring business. I am an extremely detail oriented person, and he answered all of my questions and provided me with the information I needed on the multiple occasions I visited the store. Nate also worked with me on price to get me into a more comfortable range. Jose, the other owner, came to my house to take measurements and give me design ideas. He is also fantastic. I felt very comfortable working with Jose and Nate and their whole family-run business. I usually never leave people alone in my house, and for 3 full days, I trusted them to work in my house without me being present. They were extremely professional, punctual, courteous and hard-working, and they took great care of my house. They did a great job cleaning and moving my furniture back into place after they completed the job. One thing I really liked about them was the level of professionalism and customer service they offered. If I needed anything, Jose was right there on the spot to help with the process. He also laid out the exact plans and how the entire project would flow from start to finish. The quality of the job is excellent. I've been living on my new floors for about 4 months and I love them. I'm so happy I chose J Wood. They warrant their work for 2 years which exceeds most other companies. I needed a small repair to one of the boards, which had a manufacturer's defect, and Jose sent Carlos to fix the board within a week. Great company, great people, great quality, great service. I would definitely use them again in the future.

I contacted J Wood flooring to give me an estimate to install hardwood floors kitchen hallway and bathroom after a terrible tile installation done by another contractor 3 years ago. Jose came out, took measurement and gave several options for doing the work. After much reservations on my part, I agreed to the floating tile method. I was pressed for time and concerned about how the floor would look using this method. Jose assured me that I would be very happy with the work but he did not want to "rush the job". He was aware of the anxiousness on my part but gave me the details of the what , whenand how of the schedule. His guys came in on friday morning at the excat time they said the would. Carlos was the lead man on the job and was very professional. He realized that I wanted the eork completed the dame day but he reitterated what Jose indicated. The work was completed by noon the next day. I can say without any hesitation, that Jose and his crew are the best in the business. teh finished product esd of high quality and the workmanship was superb. Here are the word to describe their work: OUTSTANDING, PROFESSIONAL, HIGH QUALITY, TIMELY.

That turned out excellent. They did the living room and they completed it in one day. They worked with me due to scheduling. They made sure that it was comfortable with me and when I came back from being out of town, it looked like nothing had changed, but the floor. It looked outstanding. We discussed the difference and they made some good points. I ended up switching from laminate to hardwood flooring. They also had outstanding professionalism.

J Wood was one time, the showroom employees were very helpful in determining the family of products that would be best for our desires. Jose was very informative in helping us determine the specific pattern and color of flooring that would look best in our home. Workers were on time, the site was kept neat and tidy. We did have some warranty issues due to existing conditions and high humidity from a duct that had been covered up since the house was built 10 years ago that no one knew about. J Wood fixed the issue even though it was created by something that was out of their control. They gave me know hassles. I think that most providers of this service would have balked at fixing this without additional compensation.

Jose gave me a written estimate and explained exactly what would happen. I selected the flooring I wanted. After giving 50% deposit, the materials were ordered. They were delivered to my home to acclimate to my environment. The work was scheduled. Carlos and two other men came to install the floor and remove the old carpet and padding. They moved the furniture to one side of the room and began working. They replaced the furniture and cleaned up. The floor is beautiful. Jose and his family members were very polite and careful with my furniture.

They did an excellent job. Everything was good.

Everything went great. They estimated that the work would take 4 days and it only took 2. They were punctual and professional once the work began. We were originally only going to do our living/dining room but after speaking with Jose decided it would be a good idea to do the hallway too. They were honest about the price from the beginning. If a new expense presented itself they spoke to us about it before moving forward. They are a bit more expensive but it is worth the price. We would definitely hire again. My only minor complaint is that when my husband and I went to the store during business hours no one was there. We called and left a message which was promptly returned that afternoon. We made an appointment to come by at a later time. They were there! I liked how professional they were in how they handled this minor mistake. They did not make excuses but apologized and quickly made up for it.

My wife and I have a second home in Indian Land, SC . We experienced a small water leak from the refrigerator that damaged the glued down engineered wood flooring. We contacted insurance and they sent out an adjuster that wrote up an estimate. It seemed really extreme, so we called in J Wood to give us a free estimate. First contact was with Nate. He was professional, knowledgeable and ready to help. Since we were in FL they set up an appointment with our neighbor to gain access to the property. They set up an appointment and a few days later Jose came by to inspect the damage. He suggested a game plan that was much more pleasant for my wife and I to handle. His was much less costly, eliminating much of the dreaded and unnecessary demolition. The pricing was well within the budget offered to us by our insurance carrier so we made the decision to go with them. Before beginning the job we added some additional work,.ie baseboards from 3" to 5" and the stair railings and balusters. They adjusted the estimate and off we went. Before the final decision was made we had a plethora of questions, some of which I am sure were unnecessary, but they were all answered to our full satisfaction. And I am glad we did..... The wood was ordered and the delivery was scheduled. They unloaded the wood into our home for it to acclimate and four days later , Allendy and his crew arrived right on time and started the job. He went over the process and let me know how things would proceed. He also introduced me to entire crew and they were really good guys. Pleasant, friendly and they all had great attitudes. In no time the house buzzing with action. The flooring went down fairly quickly and the next step was the stairs. It turned out to be a work of art. The job super ( Allendy ) worked on this part of the project himself and he is an artist. I was truly impressed with the finished product, it was a work of art and became the focal point of the room. Angel was the flooring expert and the other guys, Kevin, Martin were great help in the overall job. Not to mention that all of this was done a few days shy of the initial time frame. We had a final walk thru with Jose and I mentioned one issue that I had and he immediately called his son Carlos and within a few hours he was there to correct the issue. Our experience with J Wood Flooring was fantastic. The entire process was exactly what we had hoped for but hardly ever receive from contractors we have used in the past., with the exception of J Wood. We have already set up additional work with them, ( master bath renovation ) and are looking forward to getting started on that project knowing that we will get the professional results we desire. I would highly recommend this company for any of your renovation projects. Thank you J Wood Flooring...

From the beginning part of the process when Jose the owner arrived at my home to measure for the estimates, he got here a little late but not because of his negligence but because the incorrect time was put on my folder, but immediately when he arrived he apologized for the mistake and he was very nice and very professional. He did my measurements as well as explained to me what would be good for or what would look good in my room, he also showed me some floors from his laptop just so that I could see some the work the company has done. I must mention, which were all very beautiful. After that process, then I would begin dealing with Nate in the office, who was also very nice, very professional. I picked out my sample and then we scheduled the installation. I got my floors put in on this past Saturday, I had an appointment set for 9am, Martin arrived at my home exactly at 9am, he greeted me with a smile and the same professionalism that all the others had as well. Angel arrived also minutes later. They did my floors and they turned out beautiful. I am in love with the work they did, I will tell all of my friends about this company, they are family owned and run and I knew from the beginning that they made me feel important as a customer and normally when I spend money I "always" get a second quote but this time I really felt I was in good hands and I can say for the first time I did not get a second opinion or quote. Jose, Nate, Martin, and Angle Job well done!!!

If you are having any wood flooring or tile work done, this is the company to do it. From the office to the installation, everyone involved was extremely knowledgeable, professional, talented, and unbelievably courteous. Several members of the J Wood staff worked for over a week making sure that everything was done perfectly and that we were 100% satisfied. Probably two days were spent just in preparing the subfloor getting it even and assuring that all squeaks were eliminated before beginning installation of the hardwood. The floors look terrific and the stairs are unbelievable. Stairs and railings were stained to match the floor perfectly. Absolutely beautiful workmanship. The fireplace was nothing special originally but now it is a real focal point in the family room and again goes so well with the new floors. My wife and I enjoyed meeting all the folks from J Wood who worked on these projects, felt blessed and honored to have them in our home.

Quick and responsive with all questions. We had to delay the project but will definitely consider when we are ready.

The one thing I suspect most would agree upon regarding J Wood Floor, is that its staff is always professional and their workmanship unparalleled. As to the latter, co-owner Jose Nunez is far more than a craftsman, though that alone is an achievement worth noting in today's world of high prices and low value. Knowledgeable of every recent trend, while a firm practictioner of a honored tradition that takes pride in a job perfectly done, he also has a keen sense of style. In our case (and I imagine many others) his view of how to complete our project was vastly superior to our own. If you are wise you will profit by listening to him. Equally impressive are the young men who work for J Wood. Martine, Oscar, and, Jose's son, Carlos, are workers of the highest order. Punctual and hard-working, my wife and I grew to consider them as highly talented and trustworthy friends more than workers we had hired to do a job. We were lucky to have them.

The floor looks good. They had to put down trim and they had started putting it down unstained and I told the sales person that I wanted it stained. They got to a point where they were not excited to work with me. It is not nailed down and it is coming off. The communication between the sales person and the team did not happen. The sales person kept making objections to the price. It was not fitting into my budget. The sales person kept lowering the price, but when the owner came out to check the work, he made a snide comment on how I was paying so little for a big job. I thought that was inappropriate. The price was good and they were very professional. I do not know if I would use them again.

Very good work. I bought this off of a big deal and the floors were down within 2 weeks of the initial call. Good quality work and very customer friendly.

They came and gave an estimate to remove carpeting and replace it with laminate flooring in 4 rooms & 2 hallways. |For the actual job they came on time everyday. The moved the furniture room by room and ripped up the carpeting and laid the laminate floors. The crew as very business-like, courteous and cleaned up after themselves every day. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends.

They did a great job. This group of guys is the best kept secret in Pineville. Their floor installation went very well and the recommendations they provided around final finish were spot on. In addition to claim they also built chair rail molding along our stairway. All came out looking great. There were 2 situations that involved some re-work and in both situations they handled it with a can do customer friendly style. This team is prompt. This team is very professional. They are excellent for turn key provider services as we were required to move out of our house for a week. J Wood team moved our furniture out of the house and packed a pod for us. They in turn moved us back in while applying felt strips to our furniture to ensure no scratches or dings on our new hardwood surface. The floor is extremely smooth and has a very natural finish to it. They also installed white shoe mould which made the rooms and flooring stand out in a nicer way versus stained shoe moulding. None of the furniture was damaged and they really know how to pack a storage container. I would strongly recommend these guys for insurance work/ water damage restoration or any new install. They are very good.

Appreciated much the punctuality and the end result which were beautiful floors. Young men worked hard and long hours and job was finished on projected time line. Would DEFINITELY do business again with them. Refreshing to simply get the desired results. No problems whatsoever. GREAT GREAT JOB. A pleasure to do business with these people.

Very helpful and professional in the showroom. Came out to the house and was very professional and gave an estimate. Didn't use the company because there price was out of line with two other estimates for the same product and installation.

In short, J Wood is exceptional. Jose (owner) was over to do measurements within a few days after I contacted the company; he is someone who truly knows his craft and passionately shares examples of his team's work. While I had been researching flooring for quite a while (and had a few estimates already, including a home department store), I had a major concern on how to integrate my existing floor with the new floor (if that could even be done well), and after Jose's explanation of how they would feather, sand, and stain, I felt significantly better about it. Most other providers said they'd just rip it up and replace it. Jose's team (note: they are not sub-contractors, they are actual employees/family) was prompt, organized, and professional throughout the entire install. A few key points: + very prompt each day in arriving + Jose checked in frequently (didn't just seem him at the beginning and end) + for a rather messy process (sanding, staining), I thought they were very, very tidy + managed to create a custom stain based on another piece of furniture + came in right on budget As for cost, the install/sand/stain was in the middle of the other quotes I had (albeit services were similar, not exactly the same). The custom detail work (feathering, the stairs, custom stain) was, I felt, an exceptional value for how well it turned out. I think this is where J Wood really shines.

Jose came to our house and thoroughly explained how they demo and install their floors. Explained different options and what he recommends. We met with Nate at the showroom and found the floor we liked. Nate is extremely knowlegeable about the products. Jose is a guru when it comes to installation. Together, they are the perfect team. Installation was amazing. Jose's crew (his family) is extrememly professional and polite. They are very courteous and worked to make your home as livable as possible during the construction. Its was a great experience and our new floors look simply amazing. The house looks and feels like a new house! Thanks J-Wood!
