We were very impressed with their knowledge of the different floors that we were looking at. Their installation team was very good.

My experience with them went fine. My husband decided to go with them. They were able to get the wood to match our current wood. They came very close to the work we already had.

They finished 440 square feet of flooring in one day. My schedule was a little tight and Nate and Hose was accommodating to try and work me in as soon as possible. Things worked out very well. My floor is beautiful and looks perfect around thresholds, fireplace, and door jams. Great experience!

Although we have hardwood on the rest of the first floor, we wanted something different for the master bedroom. We had checked into cork, which is beautiful, great on cushioning joint impact, and sustainable. Although many now offer it, few installers have experience with cork. We had several estimates, but as soon as I met the owners of J Wood, I knew I could trust them to do the work. I had a few very specific requests and they really listened to what I wanted. Their craftsmanship is EXCELLENT. The floor is beautiful. They also have many years of experience installing hardwoods. I highly recommend them. If I ever need any other services, which they offer, they will be the first ones I call.

J Wood Flooring recently installed engineered hardwood flooring in our entire downstairs, steps, and upstairs hallway. This is the first home my husband and I have owned and our first major project in the home. We didn't know a thing about flooring. The team at J Wood Flooring were helpful in every step of the project. Nate took all of the time in the world with my husband and I in their showroom to explain different products and installation selections. Then Jose and his team did a beautiful job installing our floors. We tried some of the larger name companies, but they didn't have the personal touch you get from J Wood Flooring. I would absolutely use them again, and I would recommend this company to my friends and family.

From start to finish, we were pleased with everything about the project. We found the company online and visited the showroom in Pineville. We immediately were made comfortable and welcomed by the personable co-owner, Nathan. He took all the time we needed to explain their products and show us a wide selection of finish choices. We already had a good idea of what wanted, placed our quote request and were scheduled quickly for a home visit. Co-owner Jose, showed on time and, with great energy and enthusiasm, answered our many questions with a good-natured attitude and thorough knowledge of his craft. The detailed quote came shortly after which was as expected. The products (laminate flooring, cork underlayment, transitions, composite white shoe, 6 mil poly vapor barrier, cleaning kit) were ordered and arrived within a week to acclimate to our interior conditions. We spent some time packing away special items and moving small items out of the way. On the morning of installation, Jose and his team arrived promptly and took over the heavy lifting. We left them to the project returning periodically - each time amazed at the speed and quality of the work. They continued tirelessly all day, tidying up before leaving. The second day, work continued at the same pace. We were surprised and pleased to see everything completed, furniture back in place and clean-up handled by the time we returned that late afternoon. All the trash was piled neatly according to city requirements and was picked up quickly within a day. We highly recommend this company. Note that we had conducted detailed research before we found J Wood Flooring and planned carefully, focusing on our own casual style and modest budget. We were particularly impressed with the craftsmanship, the attention to detail and the work ethic of the whole team. Nathan and Jose and the boys were wonderful to work with - taking extra steps where needed to complete the job well. Everyone who has visited since then has remarked on the new floors and complimented all the changes. The stairs are a special focal point - very clean and bright - such a change from the dull carpet. After a month, we are still very pleased. If you are searching for new flooring, we strongly suggest checking out both the showroom and website for this company.

They came in, I took their design advice, worked by sections, instead of doing a whole house demo, they went in very meticulously. They put plastic sheets up to contain the dust in the demo areas (as opposed to the rest of the house). I have 2 very young kids, and the team helped keep everything contained and keep the kids away from any potential dangers. They took 3 days, and at the end of each day, they cleaned up the areas, and made everything livable. I love the sweet nature of the crew, their charisma, their friendship. They are awesome!

They had an excellent service and they stood behind their word and more. We had this company install a new floor in our home. After the floor was installed we noticed that some parts were irregular. We had J Wood Flooring come back out and look at it. They found that there was water coming from somewhere and moving between the concrete and our new floors causing this problem. They removed portions of the flooring, dried the floor and re-laid the new floor. Three men did this over a three hour period at no additional charge. They had great attitudes and were extremely nice.

Selected company from Angie's List so I felt comfortable with the choice. Took a sample of flooring to Nathan at the Pineville store, who immediately identified the brand and color. Next day, Jose came to home and prepared a written estimate. Barely a week went by and product was delivered and installation begun. Jose and his two man team arrived at 9:00 am and work was done by 3:00 pm. I was amazed at the results. Quick, clean and efficient - so much so I had them come back and do a bonus room over the garage which required both a vapor barrier and cork float prior to wood going down. Again quick, clean and efficient. It's not very many people who come to their job and whistle and sing while doing it. It was the most pleasant experience I've had here in NC from start to finish of the two projects. Would highly recommend this company. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks to Nate, Jose, and Team for the outstanding job installing my floors. My wife and I appreciate the quality and put into our home. J-Wood is top shelf who wants to earn your business. Nate runs the storefront and is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating. He is very passionate about the business. It’s a little scary how much Nate knows about the products he sells, but the guy knows his stuff. If you need help figuring out what you want or getting ideas, J-Wood can help. If there is a brand/material you want, J-Wood will find it and source it for you. We told Nate what types and colors of floors we were interested in and he lead us in the right direction. We were able to keep a couple of samples of the wood in our house for a couple of days to decide what we liked the best. Another great thing about these guys is that they don’t nickel and dime you for every little thing, no surprise bills at the end of the job. We decided to use J-Wood to install the floors. J-Wood does not use any outside contractors, so you know exactly who is going to do the work. Jose led the install team (3 family members) and made sure everything was done to high standards. The crew arrived on time each day and finished the project early. Everyone was very polite and professional. The interior of the house and the work area were left clean. J-Wood made the process as painless as a construction project can be. We were not even halfway done with the floor install and I was already talking to Jose about our next project. Jose and his crew are very proud of their work and given the care they put into their work, they should be. Jose has lots of pictures to show off his work. After the job was done, we noticed a stain that had been unintentionally left on part of the floor. We called Nate at the store and scheduled Jose to come out. They were very accommodating to work around our schedule and get the floor cleaned up. It took a couple of tries to find the right product to get the stain up but Jose and crew are very proud of their work and were not satisfied until the floors were perfect and we were 100% satisfied. This extra work was not billed to us. J-Wood has done a great job and EARNED our business. We hope to use them again in the future.
