We have been very happy with Benjamin's work. The yard always looks good and the landscaping can only be described as crisp. Benjamin provided ideas that we used on specific areas of the yard to very good effect. Since we began using Hampton Scape, our overall contentment with our property has increased greatly.

Working with Hampton Scape was easy. I corresponded with Benjamin by both email and phone to obtain an estimate and to schedule time to perform the work. He was quick to reply and was very straightforward. The crew showed up when promised, and everything was done professionally. The job was performed quickly, and all clippings were cleaned up around the bushes. The holly trees were extremely overgrown and rubbing against the house, but they shaped them nicely. The bush on the side of the house was trimmed nicely as well. And Benjamin also trimmed an extra shrub while he waited on the crew to finish, so that saved me some work too. I'm sure the job was simple from their perspective, but they accomplished in an hour what would have taken me all weekend.

Ben is knowledgeable, friendly and always on time. He answered my emails or calls very quickly and consistently offered a wonderful service. I highly recommend him and will always use him for lawn work and landscaping.

He is courteous and punctual. I never have to worry that he won't show up and he leaves the yard clean when he is done. So far this company has worked out well for me and I do plan on continuing with the services.

While waiting for the topsoil to arrive, the crew picked up sticks and raked and tended to the areas around trees and bushes in the yard. They were busy the whole time. Benjamin kept in touch by email before the job, and followed up with emailed instructions afterward.

I decided to give Benjamin a call after reading some reports on Angie's List. I had been scammed by a previous landscape company and was ready to find a good company. Benjamin responded to my email right away and from our in-depth discussion I could tell that he knew what he was doing and that he had a stable, long-term crew (very important). He came by to walk the yard with me and spent over an hour going over everything I wanted, answering all my questions and giving input about what he thought would be best in certain situations. He was booked almost a month out, but about a week later, he called to tell me of a potential cancellation, if I wanted the spot. I was very happy to start earlier. We talked a couple of more times and he estimated the amount of top soil I would need. He allowed me to order it directly from the supplier, thus saving me the mark-up for his time. He was scheduled to start the job on Sunday at 8-8:30am. He called to tell me they would be a little late because they had such a rough job the day before and have been working long, long days. In my mind, I thought, "Oh no, they're not going to show, or they're going to get here late and drag this job out." They were there by 9am. Only a half hour late! It was refreshing to actually get a phone call from a contractor to say they're going to be late. Benjamin was there the whole day with his crew. He promised five guys and actually gave me the option of bringing an extra guy for the price of pizza. They were so organized and hard working and really took pride in how they did their work. My yard was truly a big mess and they did an immense amount of work, completely done in 8 hours! My neighbors were coming by for days to tell me how great it all looks and that they couldn't believe it was done in one day. One last amazing thing. Benjamin doesn't require any payment up front, except for a nominal deposit. He expects payment when the job is done and the customer is happy. He owns all his own equipment and knows his crews strengths. It was a job well done from beginning to end. He's coming back in three weeks to do my back yard. I can't wait.

Painless! Benjamin was prompt and communicative at all times. He provided detailed instructions on how and when to prepare the yard ahead of time (kill weeds, cut grass at intervals, etc.) and arrived right on schedule. Benjamin was quick to respond to my initial phone call, then came out to provide an estimate. They arrived on time the day of the work. Benjamin and his crew worked all day without really much disruption to our day. They are neat, quite, nice and I think worked through the day without a break. After I told him what I wanted done, Benjamin would make helpful suggestions regarding location of shrubs, types, future maintenance, etc. He offered to come back in several weeks and spray again and also trim a holly tree. Benjamin is professional and easy to work with. I would definitely refer him to a friend.

Everything went fine. Benjamin was able to schedule me within a week of contacting him. They came during the day while I was at work and completed the job as requested. If I had to nitpick, the only issue would be that some of the plugs from the lawn were thrown up onto my sidewalk and driveway and they might have gone the extra mile to sweep those back onto the lawn... but that's a nitpick and nothing that would stop me from using them again.

The job went great. I am pleased with all of the work done. Benjamin and his crew worked quickly to remove shrubs that in some cases were probably present since the house was built (1952!). In all, they worked about 7 hours and were happy to take care of some extra things I asked about on the day they did their work. It had rained a few days before, so they came back at no charge to spray weed killer again. All of the weeds and ivy were pulled out by hand, not just sprayed. will absolutely use this service again. Note that the estimate includes the cost of mulch, too.

Outstanding service as noted above. Great communication from start to finish, multiple check points during the work (9 hours of constant work from 6 people), kept to a fixed price even when the work changed a bit (pulled more ivy than originally talked about, trimmed more tree limbs), cleaned up nicely, and basically it was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a service company.

After reading the reviews for Hampton Scape, it was quite a disappointment to learn that they could not help me on a regular basis. I prefer to have all my landscaping needs done by one company rather than paying several different companies.

I found Hampton Scape on Angie's List. I had interviewed four different lawn companies and liked what they had to offer the best. Benjamin and his crew do a great job and clean up very well. If I ever have any concerns or last minute requests, they respond right away, which is hard to find these days. Benjamin is always friendly and professional. I will continue to use Hampton Scape services for all my lawn care needs!

The owner Benjamin Manfre responded to my inquiry email within 12 hours and was at my house to go over my yard and listen to what I wanted to be done the very next day. He told me he was booked solid but if I could wait he could fit my job in within the next 2 weeks. He and his crew of three were able to do the job earlier than they expected do to a cancellation. They were on time and extremely fast, clean, courteous, and professional. I would highly recommend Hampton Scape for any landscape work you need done. Benjamin and his crew will be coming back this fall to level our lawn and aerate and put in fresh mulch, etc.

They are perfect. They do such a great job. My lawn is beautiful. My flowers are cleared of any debris. I wanted my lawn mowed on Fridays and they agreed to that. They have done a splendid job. They are responsive. They follow up and they have excellent prices.

I contacted Benjamin and he promptly returned my call. In a couple of days, we met and walked through the yard. I talked about planting some trees and other items. Benjamin was great and recommended that I wait until fall for planting. I appreciated the honest feedback. We agreed to split my job into 2 visits. The first day was hedging and clean up. Benjamin and team we able to hedge in about an hour. I have to say, I thought I knew how to hedge but after they finished I realized that I was definitely an amateur! The second visit was for pulling weeds, redefining beds, and laying down mulch. My zoysia grass had totally taken over my beds. Benjamin's team actually pulled the weeds by hand! They didn't just spray for weeds. In fact, they did the job on Saturday which is my day to water. Benjamin said he would come back to spray the area with weed killer on Monday so I could water. He also offer to do a follow-up visit to spray weed killer in a couple of weeks. I was very very pleased with the services performed. Benjamin has great communication and I really enjoyed the experience. I am looking forward to fall when I will have them help me with planting for spring.

Benjamin was great from the start. I couldn't estimate the hours he put in before even getting a commitment from me to move forward. After getting an idea of what I needed done via e-mail and phone, he came out to my home on a weekday morning (and didn't ask that I try to take time off work to be there), made very helpful suggestions, revised the quote several times, and was very communicative through the planning process. He brought 2 crews on the day of the job - which was the HOTTEST Saturday of the year - to ensure that the job would be done in a day. He brought two extra bushes on his own initiative, clearly indicating that he had no intent of charging me for them, but the area clearly needed the extras. And, he brought and planted about a dozen day lillies that weren't part of the contract and he didn't charge for. I plan on using Hampton Scape again for fall yard work.
