Will with the Geek Squad at the Pineville Outlet store Location provided exceptional service to me and my mom! His knowledge was off the charts that helped me locate the issue with the two computers I brought in, in the same day and helped us navigate our options for computer replacement options. The Best Buy Pineville location is friendly and welcoming to the customers and definitely recommend going to this location for repairs or helpful recommendations!

I had usually spent the time to solve our own computer problems, but finally decided having a contract with Geek Squad could be money well spent. We bought the year's contract through AARP for $169 and one home visit for $49. This young man was so efficient, competent, knowledgeable, pleasant, and helpful that I felt thrilled we had called them. What a change from tech help offered by computer companies. My experience with the computer companies' tech support was so disappointing as to make me angry. l had usually spoken with someone in another country who spoke in canned script. They had led me into worse problems than when I started.. Over the years, I had spoken with people in other countries who were often rude and often misunderstood what I was trying to tell them. Perhaps some of them were in this country, but still their communication skills were deficient. Often, they used tech terms that I did not understand. I now have free online and phone support for one year, and if the future experences are anything like the in-home experience, my life will be vastly better than before!
Description of Work: Mr. Sparks of the Geek Squad came to our home and sorted out our connection problems with our two laptop computers. Both computers had lost connection with our printer, and one computer had lost connection with the internet. The problem had become too knotty for me to correct by following online instructions, and I had given up on tech support from the computer companies.

I was first in line, the person at the counter checked out my computer and said the screen of the laptop was dead. He explained to me what need to be done, they had to send it out to the repair shop in Kentucky and it was $85 to ship. They would let me know how much it costs to repair and if I have it repaired I would get $50 back from the $85 and if I bought a new screen then the $50 would go toward the cost of a new screen.
Description of Work: Geek Squad did work for me.

I was very dissatisfied with their service. They call it the geek squad and I thought that it was just for the computers. When I called and told them that I was having trouble with the refrigerator I purchased there, they said that they were going to send a man out. When he came he did absolutely nothing and told me to tell my tenant to take out the ice-maker and it would work. He gave me a run around and when I called back it was going to be a month before they could get anyone out there. The guy said that they would charge me if they did anything or not, so I never made an appointment. I will never purchase a refrigerator again from them. They were hard to get in touch with.
Description of Work: I used Best Buy in April of this year because I had a problem with a refrigerator I purchased there.

The whole experience was great. We had a color preference on the refrigerator and they ordered the one we wanted for us. The customer service was great and their responsiveness on what we wanted was great.

We have had very good luck with this company. They came out when they said they were going to and repaired our LG refrigerator. It is working great now. We were concerned with getting parts for this but we found they had no problems.
Description of Work: Our refrigerator was under warranty so we didn't pay anything. They replaced the thermostat for the freezer portion.

It was a bit of a hassle to schedule the appointment. It took five days for the part to come in. The computer generated appointment scheduler started calling us immediately. It got scheduled for two weeks out and I tried to move it ahead. That did not work out. The guy did come in and replace it and the television is working great. The picture looks like new.
Description of Work: The television was on warranty so there was no fee. They replaced the light engine.

The Geek Squad they use here at Best Buy is only accessible if you purchase the equipment through Best Buy and have them install it. Since the Geek Squad did not install the system, they would not send someone out to show us how to operate the system. This is an inconvenience to me as a customer of Best Buy.
Description of Work: I went to this location and inquired about someone coming into my home to show me how to operate my home theater system. I had purchased the equipment here at Best Buy the year before.

When I bought my big screen TV the salesman at Best Buy talked me into buying the extended warranty. "They will come to your house and fix it right there." But what they don't tell you is that it will take 10 days to 2 weeks before they show up. Then the repair guy says I don't have the parts so I'll have to order them. Thats another 10 days. After reviewing the TV repair reports on Angie's list, I could of had it fixed in two days by a local repairman for about the same price. If I have another problem in the next two years I'll be ahead financially, but that doesn't included the inconvenience of it all.

Product was delivered DOA and with parts of unit missing or on delivery/installers truck. After the "installer" broke my functional but older washer getting it out, he tried to install the partial new unit. Scratched woodwork and put grooves in floor. When he saw it wasn't going to work and I requested he replace my old unit, he fled.

I found the computer on-line, paid for it, and had them hold it for me. It was on clearance, and not available at the other stores anymore. It was waiting for me when I picked it up a few hours later.
