I have a home warranty so I don't always get to choose my service providers for home repairs. In this instance, the load size knob fell off of my washing machine. I contacted my home warranty company and they had Colaire Heating & Cooling Service contact me. The representative called me at 9:30 pm the day I placed the request and came out the following day. He said that he would have to order the part and that it should take 3-5 days to come in. That was on 4/14. My warranty company called me on 4/28 and confirmed that the part had been received by Colaire and that he should contact me within a few days to schedule the follow up visit. By 5/12 I still had not heard from Colaire and I began leaving them voice mails. I contacted the warranty company and they stated they were also leaving voice mails. Colaire did not return my call until 5/15 and then completed the service on 5/20. The technician did a fine job fixing the machine however I believe it is inexcusable for them to have the part for over two weeks before calling me to schedule the follow up service. I'm not sure if they would have called me then if it hadn't been for both me and the warranty company calling them and leaving voice mails daily. I only paid a $75 fee due to the warranty - I don't know what they charged for this service so I cannot comment on that.

What a disaster. My burner on my cook top went out and I called my home warranty company. They scheduled and appointment with Colaire. The work ended up getting done but they missed 3 different appointments. I would call and leave a message with the service department and would wait for days for a returned call. When they finally showed up for the final appointment the repairman was 2.5 hrs late. I had to call and see where he was. The response was "I am stuck in traffic" - I understand that traffic is not within control of the repairman but a professional company would call and inform that they were going to be late. When the cook top was finally replaced the repairman didn't even have tape to properly reconnect the exhaust vent. I didn't use this company by choice and would never use them for any service ever again.
