Overall the project went very well and the crew was very friendly and eager to please. Thoroughly caulked all joints and seams. Painted the gutters for no extra charge. Pretty much stuck to their schedule as stated in the estimate and were insistent on making sure I was satisfied with their work. They offer a lengthy warranty and encouraged calling if anything proves problematic. So far the house still looks great, and I don't anticipate having to call anytime soon. Would definitely recommend calling them for an estimate. They won't be the least expensive painting company out there, but you will definitely get more for your money than the cheapest out there.

Their pricing was very competitive and I would say they were prompt and timely.

Luis provided a detailed estimate on timely basis. His crew started within a day or two of his original estimate. The carpentry work was very good. The painting was excellent. They even applied a second coat of paint at no extra charge because Luis was not satisfied with the results after one coat. I have used some very good painters, but Carolina Paint might be the best.

Luis estimated the job, took photos of work to be done, provided the work crew who did the work and made sure it was clear what needed to be done. For the most part he provided an outstanding and complete bid package with complete description of work, and description of the paint to be used. However, during the course of the work other items came up so we ended up spending $400 over what we planned to initially. However, the work DID have to be done. The crew showed up as scheduled and we were very impressed with the job clean up. There was no paint, etc. spilled and most of the nails were picked up. Luis and his crew are very focused on customer satisfaction and as a quality manager, that pleased me very much. We will definitely use them again!

Large crew of 6 got the job done in timely fashion without dragging it out. Good clean up and did thorough job prepping and using drop clothes etc to avoid spatter. They insist on complete walk thru on completion to be sure you are satisfied. Lead is very customer oriented and wants to be sure you are satisfied! I was very satisfied!

I met Luis Friday afternoon to discuss the work I needed completed. He was very personable and inspected the areas thoroughly. He provided an estimate approximately 4 days following his inspection and provided a detailed overview of the work. He also provided pictures of the areas that were damaged. His team started the work the following week and explained what they needed to do and got to work. The job lasted approximately 3 days and the crew cleaned up each day. They did a great job and made the entry way good as new.

We first got an estimate from Luis in April of 2011, at the time his bid was not the lowest, but was the most detailed and well documented. He took many pictures ans showed the places where repairs are needed using these pictures, which is very nice. At the time we had some cash problems and asked him whether he can wait until July to start the work, and he happily agreed and promised to get back to us in July. And he did. So we gave the go ahead. By the way, the original estimate was at $4200. Fabio led the crew and met me before the work started to explain what he was going to do, and warned me that after the pressure wash they may find more areas where repairs are needed, which I understand. But I was still surprised (and was not happy to see, of course) that so many more bad spots were discovered! But on the other hand, I am glad that they were careful and truthful in finding and telling me these problems. As Fabio said, they want to do the job right. The crew then spent almost a week to do the carpentry work. My wife also asked them to paint the window shutters as well ($500 extra). And the final price was around $7100. Yes it is considerably more than the original estimation, but the extent of the repair, I have to say that it is a fair price. The quality of the work is good, at least I cannot see anything wrong at this time. The company offers a 5 year warranty and will come back once a year to do light touch up if needed, a nice feature I really like. So I gave an A rating for everything except the pricing (B), maybe I am a little stingy here. A more accurate initial estimate may have helped me getting more ready financially.

Luis' crew arrived on 5/26/11 and finished on 6/1/11. The crew was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Even though the temps were in the mid-upper 90's, they continued to work late every day. Very hard working crew. I am very pleased with the work and will definitely use them again in the future. Luis came out and gave us an estimate for the carpentry and painting. his estimate outlined everything he would do incliding specifying the type of paint and caulking he would use. We discussed the fact that when his crew got on ladders and began preping the house they might find more rotted wood. Luis' son Fabio headed the crew and was here every day with the crew. The enitre house was pressure washed first. All the rotted siding was replaced with Hardiboard. Also the window mold was repaced with yellow pine or treated wood. They fixed or replaced some previous repairs that were poor workmanship. The crew was very diligent and worked from dawn to dusk. Everyone seemed to know their job and the quality of work was good. Any replaced wood got a coat of primer and two coats of paint. They cleaned and reattached the gutters, removed downspouts to paint them and the wood behind the down spouts. They removed all the shutters and painted the siding behind the gutters and pressure washed my driveway. They cleaned up every evening and again when the job was finished. After the carpentry repairs were made, Luis conducted an inspection with me to make sure I was satisfied before beginning the painting. Fabio conducted an additional inspection after the painting was complete.

This guy was very punctual. He was there when he said he would. We did have some rain and he called me right away to tell me that he couldn't paint in the rain. He was out there the next day. He was very punctual. He kept me informed. This guy does a great job and has a great crew. He is an all around great guy. He gave me everything up front. I didn't have to ask for insurance papers or workman's comp. He covered everything in the estimate. He walked around with me and showed me what he was going to do. Everything was clearly spelled out.

I have a painted deck that was "ruined" (peeling paint) 2 years ago with improper prep, materials used and application method. I interviewed 6 different companies and until I talked to Luis, the "estimators" seemed interested in doing the job but not figuring out the problem. Luis has obviously done a lot or research on different paints and the painting industry and came up with a solution that none of the others mentioned. His estimate was also above and beyond...the photos and comments were VERY helpful. Fabio and team were fabulous - hard working, helpful beyond the contract and, most of all, sincerely seemed to want to do a thorough job. I'm almost certain that most crews wouldn't have found the large area of rotten deck - it probably would have been painted over. And with the crew proficient in carpentry, the problem was fixed (inexpensively) and quickly. The deck was been "abused" by the weather for months now and is holding up great. Thanks to Luis, Fabio and crew for a wonderful job!

Luis was the lowest bidder for a complete house rennovation project. His workers were very good at their jobs. The only problem we had was getting a firm commitment on a date and time only to have the team show up one or two days later than expected. But when they worked, they were among the best we had during our house rennovation project! Please Note: Luis's crew did almost all of our renovation work for the same price other companies were willing to just paint our house for.

Nice guy, contacted him by email late one day and he called back early the next day. He gave me a good price and we scheduled the next Wednesday to do the work. He forget the appoint date and called back Thursday to say so. By that time I had found someone else to do the job.

The hardest working crew that I have used.

Luis was extremely thorough in his initial walk through and pointed out several areas of rot that I hadn't noticed. When I received his written estimate is was equally thorough and included numerous pictures of the areas of carpentry that needed to be addressed. His estimate, by far, was the most comprehensive at explaining everything they would do and what was included. After comparing to the estimates of two other companies it became clear that Carolina Painting and Carpentry offered much more value. (Their pricing ultimately ended up between the highest and the lowest estimates I had acquired.) They spent the better part of 5 days to complete the job which was 2 days longer the the company that submitted the lowest estimate, The first couple of days were spent doing prep work and carpentry repair which included removing and reapplying caulking, filling in exposed nail holes, replacing corner boards and siding. They applied the paint with brush and roller and also removed all the downspouts prior to painting. Additionally they painted the gutters and downspouts. A couple of bonus items included power washing the front porch and back patio. They even hauled away a couple of bags of lawn debris I had raked up while they were working. Overall I was quite pleased with their work and don't anticipate any trouble, but should I experience an issue, Luis insisted that I call. I highly recommend giving Carolina Painting and Carpentry a call if you need painting or carpentry work performed on your house.

I felt like I got a high quality paint job at a very good price. Luis was very professional in all his dealings with me--from providing his written estimate through follow-up. His crew was responsive and accommodating. My only (small) complaint is that there were a few minor add-ons to the original contrct price--things that I wish we had identified when Luis did his initial estimate. One great feature of working with Carolina Painting is that they come back and do touch-up once a year for four years after the initial job at no extra cost. That is a huge bonus.

I was very happy with the results. Fabio and his assistants are curteous and professional. All work was performed as requested and they always do an excellant job. I trust their work, which is why I've used them more than once.

This company is very professional from the proposal in the beginning to the evaluation at the end.The employees who came to my house were very nice and worked very hard. I was impressed by the fact that they continuously updated me on work that needed to be done and was being done. The work done was thorough and complete. They offered to come back at no cost should I find a problem after they left. I have found nothing wrong with the work done on my house. I would definitely recommend this company

Luis' son, Favio, came and did an excellent job pressure washing and touching up a couple small areas that had cracked over the past year. Pressure washing/touch ups once a year for four years is part of the contract I signed last year. I am glad to see that even though it costs a little more initially, they have followed through with the contract and did an excellent job once again. Luis has excellent guys working for him. Highly recommended.

I am prepping my house for sale. I had a few projects in the works and planned to do this work last. I wasn't sure how much work it was but was surprised when Luis came back with a few more issues than I had noticed. We worked through a plan to address all the issues. Everything was addressed. He was able to do all this work in just 2 days. He is very thorough and organized. I now have a portfolio of estimates and photos to show potential home buyers if needed.
