BLACKDOG DISCOUNT CARPET OUTLET

Description of Work: We were pleased with Black dog with regards to their stock and all the flooring they had readily available. The store was not like a showroom, but the Owner was helpful. She was very knowledgable about the different floors, our foundation, animals etc. She sub'd the installation out to Wood Way Flooring which has turnred out to be a disaster. You can see the results on their report. 4 months after the floors were installed we started to havve dips, pops and sinking in various areas of the floor. We contacted BD and she sent Wood way flooring back out to inject some epoxy in the area going into our hallway. This worked, but it caused numerous holes in the flooring. Shortly after Woodway was at our home in November 2008, more and more areas started doing the same thing. We began calling Wood Way flooring in May 2009 stating we were having more issues. We finally got a return call and he was to come out on June 1, 2009 for which he was a no-show. We then began calling every 2 weeks through the end of September without response. I sent a letter to BD in November 2009 which we finally got a response, but it was basically the "run around" from Black Dog and Wood way flooring. Hard wood flooring inspector came out January 2010 and stated the floors were not laid to industry standards and we have uneven floor just in one 6 foot area where the floor measure from -3/16 to +8/16. The floor was never leveled.

Description of Work: I went to Black Dog carpet to get estimates for carpeting, laminate and ceramic flooring. In order to get my floors measured I had to pay $25 (not unreasonable) to have someone come and take the room measurements. I had expected that the total cost of this would be about $3,000 or so.
