I was pleased with their work. They were very professional.

They didn't do a good job on the paint, so I called them to come back and redo the paint. They showed up on time to do the work. They got the work done when they said they would.

Peter Bergen and his crew found the source of the problem, removed the cracked and broken shimming, installed new board and then did a beautiful job finishing off the ceiling with new crown molding and additional molding so that the ceiling was not only repaired but enhanced. The carpentry work was excellent and the workers were wonderful.

Carpenters and painters required close supervision by owner, but still made numerous errors that required return trips to fix. To the company's credit, they made repeated and substantial efforts to improve the results. However, the painters ultimately proved to lack the skills necessary to do fine detail work.

Bergon's was listed as an Angie's List super service award winner. They deserve this honor. All of their employees were professional and very easy to work with.

Showed up to evaluate problem and prepare estimate at specified time. Two man crew showed up exactly when scheduled and completed the job in a professional manner.

Overall, the workmanship and the job were top notch. Pete returned calls and provided quotes promptly. The workers showed up 1 day later than planned but finished on time. The crew protected the floors and left the area spotless. I cannot say enough about the quality of the work. It was excellent. Period.

It went very well. Build was exactly as to plan. Estimate was exact. Work was done professionally. Quality job.

Having used this company once prior to this, I knew the quality of work I was asking for and how Pete Bergen would handle the job with his various crews. Pete returned my first call the same day and set up a time for a visit and an estimate. He E-mailed me a detailed estimate which I signed and returned. Pressure washing was within a few days after this and painting began about two weeks later. Both crews worked efficiently and did a thorough job. The washing took about two hours and the paint crew worked two days. In the interim, a carpentry crew came out and did its repairs in a couple of days. All crews cleaned up the grounds as needed and left the 40-year old brick home looking very beautiful, for its age. Pete Bergen has some excellent professionals working with him and their work is of the highest quality. As the work progressed, my wife wanted other tasks performed and Pete was able to work those into the schedule without problems. Estimate rose fairly.

Pete responded right away when called and came to take pictures and give estimate promptly. Unfortunately, he got backed up with other work during the week he had planned to do mine but after several calls, his men came out and did the work very quickly. The new door was made off-site and returned to be rehung two days later. Very good experience once they began.

Pete was very quick to respond to any of my calls. He would call right back or come to the site. I could set my watch to when his workers would show up and they worked mostly until 6pm but some nights until 8:30 pm if they wanted to get to a certain stopping point by the end of the day. His workers always touched basis on what they would be doing each day. Everyone was hard working and professional. Pete went out of his way to make sure we were happy even after the job was finished and paid. After the work was completed we had a water leak in the walls. Pete himself came out and assessed the problem and met his team at my house to do some additional caulking at no extra cost. When the leak continued Pete came again and went up on the roof. It turned out we had a roof problem and Pete gave me the number of a company he trusted.

The project went very well and ahead of schedule. They had 10 business days to complete this in and it was done in 4. The team was polite and professional and they cleaned up after themselves each day. They asked questions if they were not clear on any areas to be painted.

Prompt call for estimate, able to schedule when I needed it done, worked hard when the crew was there, took a little longer than I thought, but given the extent of job, I was probably expecting too much. Excellent repairs on badly termite-damaged walls.

Quick work and looks great! Guys were very nice! Ended up costing less than estimate!!!

Expensive but worth it. He does things right the first time and needs no supervision. He does the right thing in business when he understands the problem. I trust him and would use him again.

Pete Bergan came to the house and gave me an estimate. I believe that it was a fair estimate; but there was another contractor who had a lower price. Pete was punctual, professional and very friendly.

When we were first given the estimate, I was pretty impressed with the amount of time and diligence spent on the individual jobs. As work actually progressed, there was a lot of mis-communication because of all the subs used, corners were cut, less attention was paid to the tasks, one job was not done. Also, we had to call them back because they painted something incorrectly and it started bleeding. It was difficult to get them to come back. However, they eventually did come back and re-paint. Also, there quote was the lowest out of the 2-3 others we received.

They did a wonderful job and we would use them again.

Bergen responded quickly to my call and provided me a good quote. The staff on site where courteous and prompt.

The relationship they had, and the workmanship was good. Generally a good experience!

Our insurance company required us to get at least two estimates. We had trouble even getting anyone to show up to give an estimate. So we joined Angie's List to look up contractors that other people have used. We called Bergen's. They were completely professional from start to finish. They came out quickly, submitted a written quote and when we told them to go ahead with the job, they completed it quickly and efficiently. They were also EXCELLENT at communication.

Pete came out to give us an estimate the day after I called him. He e-mailed the estimate the day after he came. After I accepted the estimate, I was told I would be put on the calendar the following week. After three weeks, I called and had to ask when the work was going to be done. We scheduled for the following week. Two guys came out and finished the job in 2 days. They did a good job, and the screen looks great. My only complaint was that when I went to Lowe's with the guy doing the work to choose the new door, he kept pushing me to get the cheapest door possible. In my opinion, since the door was included in the estimate, he should have kept any thoughts on the price to himself and just discussed quality and functionality with me.

The men did precise, careful work, and used rot-resistant wood. They were friendly and cleaned up. The customer service lady, Lisa, did her job very well too. Everyone I encountered projected professionalism and did their jobs well.

The experience definitely got off to a rocky start. It took 3 phone calls just to get Pete out to our home to look at the work to be done. It took a total of 35 days from the 1st call to when someone actually came to do the work. The quality of the job was fine if you have the patience to make repeated calls. My guess is that the job was too small and didn't get top priority on the list of jobs to do. If I had a larger job to do, I may consider hiring again based on other member's comments, but not on my own experience.
