Lucas Heating & Air Inc. is a family owned and operated business. Although formally known as Robert M. Lucas Heating & Air, we are excited to announce our son Daniel is now part owner of our business. In celebration of this union, we have changed our name to Lucas Heating & Air, Inc. We have been in business since 1997 and our number one priority has never changed! It has always been customer satisfaction. We pride ourselves in offering quality services for both residential and commercial work. In addition to that we are competitive in our pricing and we have initiative programs to give back to our customers.

When setting up warranty found out price of unit. Subtracted it from total cost and found out they charged me $2500 in labor for 3 hours work. Obtained quotes after the fact from licensed co tractors and they were both under $1000. The work was fine but was gouged in labor!

Daniel Lucas with Lucas Heating and Air was efficient and knowledgeable! We had an issue with our HVAC system on a Sunday and although Daniel was willing to come out that evening, we were busy so we waited until Monday morning. He showed up at 7am as scheduled and completed the job in a timely and professional manner. We will definitely call him again if we ever have any HVAC issues!
Description of Work: We had a leak in a pipe in our HVAC system located in our attic. Water was dripping from the ceiling.

Unfortunately there were many issues with how Lucas handled the work and another company had to be hired to do the work: 1) The company seemed very hesitant to do any work to see if the part was under warranty, which it was. 2) The company misdiagnosed the problem which greatly delayed the repair. Another company had to be called which did diagnose the problem correctly. 3) The company didn't seem concerned to do the work in a timely manner even though the area is experiencing a cold front and there would be no heat in the house for a week.
Description of Work: A heat pump needed to be repaired.

A. T., Our business prides itself in satisfying our customers. We take every concern seriously. We have searched our records and cannot find evidence that we have ever been to your residence listed on your review or charged you $400 for any repairs. On 11/9/17, which is a few days before this review, we did an estimate for work for R. T. (who shares your last name) at a different location. We presume that you are related to this person. We did not actually complete work for this person on that day, or days after. We spent a couple hours diagnosing the unit and calling the manufacturer to see if the part was under warranty. The manufacturer told us the part was Not under warranty. We did not originally install the unit at that residence and informed R. T. to contact the person who initially installed it to see if they could get it under warranty, or to see if they could do anything to save her money. No charges were made to this person for our time involved. As far as we know, someone else fixed the unit for this person. Again, we work hard to maintain a good reputation and feel that we are undeserving of this review as it does not pertain to any work that we have done. -Lucas Heating & Air, Inc.
