I ordered a 20x22 addition for existing carport bought from them. Ordered in Sept, they came out in April. Could ot out up cause the hat channels was different. The dealer knew nothing about the change. I had to go buy hat channels to match and they would not give credit for what I paid. When they finally came back on the very end of June, the brought everything they needed for a 22x15, it I paid for a 20 ft. They would not give me the material I paid for for the 20. I was very p***** about the whole thing. Chesla, the owner was a b**** about it and would not give me a refund on the materials I did not get.

Ordered a carport in June and finally got it erected in late August. Of course they blamed it on Covid for the delay. Had problems to appear two days after installation. Called the company and was passed back and forth between scheduler and dispatcher both saying they would get back with me on a date to have a crew come out and fix the problem. That was August and it's now December. Tried contacting them and still getting the runaround. The last conversation we had, they blamed the weather on the reason they can't come. While on the phone I informed them that I was driving behind the crew that put up my carport and maybe they could stop by any fix my problem. Of course they gave a reason why they couldn't get in contact with them. If you want a carport installation, DO NOT USE, A PLUS CARPORTS. They are not worth it. Full of lies. Courteous until they get your money.

We ordered a carport from A+ Carports In August 2020. We were quoted on the contract a price. They told us it would be 2-4 weeks for install. I called them after 6 weeks to check on delivery and they said Oh we will call you next week. This happened until December with almost weekly calls to check on my order. They finally scheduled delivery for Monday the 7th, confirmed the amount we owed and to have a check ready for them but canceled it on the 5th saying their delivery truck was stuck on someone's property. I called back on the 7th to see if it would still be delivered another day this week. They said they would call me back in a few days. They called me the afternoon of the 8th and decided they wanted us to pay another $1000. I told them no way!! They had 4 months to make any corrections and I absolutely would not pay another 1000. They are refusing to budge and will not speak on the phone. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!

Install was done and upon completion installers left. I was asked where the garage door was to be installed. The installers were directed to put it to the right of the front opening. I ordered and payed extra for an eight foot tall garage door so my tractor would fit through the door. I tried to drive the tractor through the door and luckily looked as i did, because the door was not tall enough. First I thought that the wrong door was installed, but upon closer inspection, i realized they cut about 8 inches off of the bottom of my door tracks! This was on Thursday and I called on Monday to voice my complaint. Their website said i had a 15 day workmanship guarantee, so I told them what happened and they sent a guy out to repair the issue. He was here for about 10 minutes took pictures and left saying he didn't have the materials needed to repair the issue. No word from these people. After calling several times My claim was denied because I was over my 2 day complaint period. I called 2 days after which was a Saturday. and again on Monday. Every excuse in the book was used to deny my claim. From it was my fault because i told them where to put the door, the color of the tin wouldn't match now. Why would I pay extra for a 8 foot tall garage door just to have them cut it down? They wouldn't talk to me till I put a dispute on my credit card. I never authorized this mistake , I am not a garage door installer. I was never informed that they would cut the tracks down. They did say that for the sum of $300 they would come and fix their mistake. I am not giving this company one more dime of my money after giving them over $5000. I ordered the tracks my self because this company will not help after the install. Now i have a garage door that sticks 8" below the bottom of the building so I can park my tractor in the garage. PLEASE, IF YOU ARE GOING TO PURCHASE A GARAGE OR CARPORT FROM THIS COMPANY DO NOT LET THEM LEAVE THE INSTALL SITE WITHOUT VERIFYING EVERYTHING. ONCE THEY LEAVE YOUR ON YOUR OWN!!

Initially the sale went very well. Ordered the building on 7-29 with a 3-4 week lead time and crew arrived to setup building on 8-23. Installers only had rebar anchors and not the proper screw in anchors, which are required to keep the carport from blowing away. Since then things have gone downhill badly. Although I clearly ordered a certified building, no documentation was provided to show the local building official. Took 3 days of phone calls to get the engineering drawings sent to town building official. Local building official has done live testing on other carports and found that a 4' spacing on the framing does not meet code requirements, even though the engineering drawings say they do. Building official spoke with A Plus carports engineer, called me back to let me know that the building in fact still does not meet code. Received a call on 8-27 from Tracy saying they would have to replace my carport because it will need to have a different spacing (3'6" with 7 legs instead of 4' with 6 legs). And that's where the wheels fell off... I didn't hear from A Plus again until 9-16 when they called me to ask me to call them because they weren't sure but thought they needed to come out and replace my building. I called back and verified that I was told (by the same person, Tracy) that they were indeed supposed to come and replace my carport. At this point I figured a couple more weeks and everything would be resolved. Nope. I called back on 10-3 to see what the status was and was informed Tracy doesn't handle scheduling in Virginia anymore. I explained to the new person what the status was and that I had been waiting a long time to get this resolved. He promised he would find out and call me back. Never called back. Over the next week I had to call them 4 more times to try and get updates as to the status. I finally did receive 4 call backs on 8-11 and was told they were very close to fixing the problem, but didn't have a plan as to what they were going to do yet. And they wanted to talk to the town building official again. I am also asked if I've paid for the building? What?! Yes I paid for the building IN FULL back on AUGUST 23rd! I called back on 10-12 and 3 times on 10-13 but never got to talk to anyone but the person who answered the phone. I will admit that by this time of being told "we'll call you back" and not receiving calls, added with the fact that 7 weeks has gone by and the issues still aren't resolved... my patience has worn pretty thin. On 10-14 (today) I call back and I ask to speak to the office manager. I explain the situation nicely to her and express my frustration that it has taken so long to resolve the issue. She tells me that she will have to run the repair order past the owner since she must approve all repairs, she will call the owner and call me back in 5 minutes. I wait an hour and call back. I again speak to the office manager and ask why didn't I receive a call? I was told she wasn't able to talk to the owner but would call her on her cell and they would have an answer before the end of the day. Again no callback so I call them at 4:55pm (just before closing) and ask to speak to the owner. The owner is not helpful at all, says they are working with the engineer and they've never installed a 7 leg 21' carport in my town. At this point I've had it and tell the owner to just come get the carport and bring me a check. She says they will decide what they are going to do and I am not to call them again. I say "Excuse me?" and she says and I quote "This conversation is over." and hangs up the phone. So here I sit with a carport that I can't use, 7 1/2 weeks after installation. FULL DISCLOSURE: At no point in ANY conversations with anyone at A Plus Carports did I yell at anyone, nor did I curse anyone, nor did I insult anyone. During the conversation with the owner, yes I was frustrated and when it became obvious she was not interested in customer satisfaction in any way, shape or form. Would I recommend doing business with A Plus Carports? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!

Showed up with incomplete order and wrong color. Installed basic A frame with top. Installed it and promised to reschedule the rest following week. One month, several unkept appointments, and many excuses later, I registered a complaint on their web site at 10 o'clock at night. Got immediate response from self proclaimed owner that refused to identify herself? Blamed me for being a bad customer and uncooperative. Gave me a history of her company and good reviews. Yea, right! Owner blames her employees and Mexican subcontractors! Takes no responsibility and has zero customer service skills. AVOID A PLUS CARPORTS.

I bought the carport through a local representative in Lillington, NC. The end provider and installer would be A plus carport in Mt Pilot, NC. The carport actually arrived earlier than promised. The Mexican crew had the invoice just as it had been given to my local dealer. The actual carport kit had only the top and A frame that was correct. The trim, gable, and side panels were either missing or the wrong color. I reluctantly accepted partial delivery and one of many promises that the remaining parts would be scheduled the following week. I made full payment for what was delivered. The following week I called the office in Mt Pilot, NC questioning delivery. I was reassured that I was on schedule and would get a call. Another week passed and no call. I called yet again and got yet another promised delivery on Sept 16, 2016. I visited my local representative and he also called and got the Sept 16 date quoted to him. A couple days pass and I get a call from A plus canceling my latest appointment due to a truck breakdown. I was rescheduled for Sept 20, 2016. On Sept 19 I get yet another cancellation. This time it was due to weather delay in completing another IMPORTANT BIG JOB. Left no doubt about the Iimportance of completing my job! I found A plus carport s facebook site and registered a complaint about poor customer service. I almost immediately got a defensive reply from the self proclaimed owner that refused to identify themselves at 11 PM at night! Seems this was my fault for being an unreasonable customer and stating what a favor they were doing me for even responding at that late hour of the night. Needless to say the conversation went downhill from that point. My advice is if you are looking for a carport type building in the North Caroline area with any dealer that represents A plus carport, keep on looking unless you are up to the frustration of dealing with an attitude oriented company. The fault will always, yours or the subcontractors or an employee, not the owner.

It was a circus getting my building installed.i believe it was the 4th attempt when they actually showed up for assembly. Several excuses were used but the installation group told me they had just picked my load up hours before and they had not had any issues... apparently a mix up in trucking and scheduling but that isn't even my complaint... In late June 2016 after only bring assembled 7 or 8 months I noticed some orange stains on my building..i took soap and water and tried to clean them but quickly learned it was not stained, rust is bleeding through the paint on my building in 50 places or more. Some spots larger than other and it's periodically located on all 3 sides of my building..i contacted A plus sever times over the next 6 weeks where I didn't get any answers on my problem..finally last week I receive a call that tells me the 40 year advertised paint warranty only covers rust holes and they were not going to fix it..after such a short time period I'm not even sure warranty is the question, this is a matter of a poor quality product and integrity of a company.. I simply ask the metal to be replaced and a plus has no intention of making the situation right.. now I'm stuck with a rusty eye sore and nothing I can an do...

At the request of A Plus Carports I have rewritten my review. They are working to remedy the issues concerning my installation. The following facts remain, for which I have documented proof in the form of physical evidence, video evidence, additional witnesses and phone records. 1) Installers tore up my gravel driveway. 2) Installers subsequently involved in a vehicle accident in front of my house. 3) Multiple sheets of metal on my carport were bent as a result of the vehicle accident. a) A Plus is sending a crew to replace 3 bent sheets 4) 104 Self tapping screws left spread throughout in my gravel driveway. 5) Metal scraps from the building were thrown over the bank next to my garage, some onto my neighbors property. 6) Installers borrowed a ladder and left it against a tree on my neighbors property. 7) Installers borrowed a shovel and took it with them, granted it was likely by accident. a) Stolen property yet to be returned. 8) Trash left behind where the installers truck was parked, including cigarette butts. 9) Multiple phone calls were placed to A-Plus over several weeks time with no return calls. 10) Threatening message was left on my voice mail regarding my Google review. I do believe that Lisa from A Plus is working to remedy the situation and the issues with the installation crew and that my building will be repaired. Please note that I am not asking for, nor do I in any way expect compensation from A Plus for any issues (my time picking up trash, metal scraps, screws, etc). I do however expect an apology from the business owner regarding the troubles I have experienced and especially for the threatening voice message. I will update my review again once the carport is fixed and the stolen property is returned.
