Knott's Roofing and Waterproofing LLC

Knott's Roofing was contracted to install a concrete tile roof on our house. Initially John, the owner, stated it would take about 3 weeks. It took approx. 3 months for them to "complete" the job. There were some visual defects we could see from the ground including poor workmanship installing mortar on the tile and gable ends that had mortar piled on them. They never returned after April. In July John said he was free to return at the middle of August and he did not show up then stating it was due to being backed up from rain and he would come in September. In September tile started sliding off of the roof. Two separate roofers inspected the roof and many deficiencies were noted, including missing flashing, tile not screwed to the roof, incorrectly installed hips, an area on the top of the house with no tile, just waterproofing and more. Knott's did not tell us about the area on the top of the house without tile and we would not have known if we wouldn't have had someone inspect the roof. The consensus from the roofers is that the roof is incorrectly installed and would have to be totally removed.
