+ -1 moreWe stared the contract negotiations in June 2012. Mr. Moore worked with us to ensure that everything we needed in the contract was included. I had spoken with several customers and had received glowing reports on Mr. Moore's honesty, assessability, and work ethic. We live in Maryland and the new house is in North Carolina. Mr. Moore keeps in close contact, sending us video and pictures of the progress and written updates along the way. We have gone down to North Carolina several times during the process and Mr. Moore was always available to walk through the house and answer our questions. We met with experts in kitchen design, paint, and landscaping to ensure that we had the information we needed to make good decisions. Mr. Moore was always willing to make changes in the house plan to make sure it met our needs. The house is not complete but I have every expectation that it will be completed on time and within our budget. Mr. Moore continues to visit other homes he has built to ensure that the owners have no concerns. This is our first experience with building a custom home. We interviewed three other builders before selecting Moore Development. We have never regreted out choice.
Description of Work: We contracted with Moore Development to build a custom home on Oak island, NC. The project started in July 2012 and is projected to be completed in early January 2013. Mr. Moore has performed every service needed to build a new home. Not only does he use highly qualified workers, he actually does hands on work on the house. He assists with the selection of all components from floor selections to door knobs. He is always willing to try new things, i.e. coloring the concrete on the driveway and providing a gas line to a propane grill. Mr. Moore ensures that we get the best price on the items we select to go into the house. He provides detailed invoices and copies of all receipts on a regular basis. We have frequent phone calls and e-mail exchanges to ensure that we are aware of the progress on the house.
